Some great writing collabs and song titles! I feel like "Platinum" would make a cool album title.

A song entitled "All The Whiskey You Can Drink". Written by Miranda and Lori McKenna. That's got to be a great track :)

I think "Platinum" is a fantastic album and title and fitting, since all of her albums have been certified platinum in the US.

Album has leaked. "Platinum," "Little Red Wagon," "Smoking & Drinking," "Priscilla," "Old Sh!t," "Something Bad," and "Another Sunday in the South" are all really stand out tracks for me! The other songs are nice to and I'm sure will grow on me the more I listen. Such a great album all around! Really impressed!

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend debuted at #6 with 53k (1.2m to date). Revolution debuted at #8 with 66k (1.6m to date). Four the Record debuted at #3 with 133k (992k to date). Based upon her trajectory, Platinum should be her strongest opener yet with 150k+.

I expect they'll put her back catalog on sale this week on iTunes. Four the Record should get close to 1m if that's the case.

That means Miranda Lambert has sold five million copies of her CDs. I was always wondering what her total sales were. Thanks!

I just streamed it. From one listen I can say that it's definitely stronger than Four The Record. Besides Automatic; Platinum, Smokin' And Drinkin, All That's Left and Gravity Is A Bitch were the highlights for me. Everything flowed well. I'll definitely be picking this up.

Platinum, little red wagon, gravity's a bitch, and bathroom sink stand out to me.
Definitely lots of single-worthy tracks. This is going to be a big album for her.

I'm pretty disappointed with this album :(
She is still my fave country singer.

I love this album! It might be my favorite Miranda Lambert album yet! So many good songs! And I love that so many of the songs have a true country sound to them.
It kinda reminds me of earlier Brad Paisley albums with all of the "comedy songs"

I've listened to this album twice so far, and I haven't decided how I feel about it yet.
The album is surprisingly cohesive despite all the different styles, but the lackluster songwriting on a few tracks left me underwhelmed/disappointed.
This is her most interesting album sonically, though, which is refreshing to hear considering what's on radio right now.
I also like that this is a bit different thematically, and she addresses being at a different point in her life (Bathroom Sink, Priscilla, Gravity is a b*tch), in such a fun way.
Top
Just Another Sunday In The South Little Red Wagon Gravity's a b*tch Girls
Middle Old s*it Bathroom Sink Platinum Hard Staying Sober Holding On To You
Bottom: Smokin' And Drikin' All That's Left
Right now I'd probably give a "B" grade overall, but it'd be lower if her backlog was included.

That's pretty good by today's cd selling standards. If she manages to debut with more than 133k, she'll have her best week opener. Four The Record had a 125-140k estimate from HITS.

I've been listening to this all day, and I'm starting to appreciate it a lot more.
Just a few random observations:
- There are so many clever, witty lyrics to be found here. I love that Miranda approached this album from the prospective of being a 30-year old woman (BS, Babies Makin' Babies, Gravity's A B*tch), rather than simply saying that in interviews and turning around to follow trends
- This album flows so incredibly well, despite the fact that there are a ton of different styles here. Miranda seems to be one of the only artists in Country who knows how to make an ALBUM, and not just a faceless collection of songs. Thank God there are still artists like her who care about making a great album. Favorites: Little Red Wagon, Gravity's A B*itch, Another Sunday In The South
Great album.

Yet another fantastic album. To me, Miranda is one of the most consistent artists of ANY genre.
*edit* Guess I'm not the only one; check out her Metacritic scores:
(debut album is missing) 85 Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 85 Revolution 83 Four the Record 84 Platinum
