I usually wait until the predictions come out to post but if you insist: Kerosene debuted at #18 with 40k (1.1m to date). Crazy Ex-Girlfriend debuted at #6 with 53k (1.2m to date). Revolution debuted at #8 with 66k (1.6m to date). Four the Record debuted at #3 with 133k (992k to date). Based upon her trajectory, Platinum should be her strongest opener yet with 150k+. That means Miranda Lambert has sold five million copies of her CDs. I was always wondering what her total sales were. Thanks! 5.2m to be exact per Billboard.

Do you have a list of all debut week sales Shooter? I know you've posted them in many other threads and I was just curious. Projected to debut with 130-150k per HITS. Her projection has gone up to 170-180K!!!!!! Girls Platinum Little Red Wagon Priscilla Old Sh!t Gravity Is a B**ch Somethin' Bad Two Rings ShyThe opening trio of songs had me really excited but then the album became quite scattershot to me. However, I did thoroughly enjoy my favorite songs and they're all repeat worthy so I think this will become my first Miranda Lambert purchase.

Am I the only one who finds this album extremely underwhelming?

Am I the only one who finds this album extremely underwhelming? No you're not. Her last album was a major disappointment. At least this is better, I guess cause my expectations were so terribly low.

I'm really hoping that the title track is released at some point. I think it may be my favorite song on the record.

This album is so strong that I can't even pin down a favorite song yet and I've listened to it a lot this past week. I enjoy every song on the album and as a whole it is yet another very cohesive effort like all of her prior records, imo. Seeing the high numbers this is expected to do in its first-week is exciting! Very happy that her album debuts continue to trend upward.

HITS has her at 178,644. Hopefully she gets pushed up to 180k on billboard.

'Platinum' is the best song on the record by far and I hope somehow it becomes a single. I also love 'Priscilla' and 'Little Red Wagon.' Would love to see the latter be a single as well.

This is a very consistent album - much stronger than Four The Record. The issue I have is that several of the songs are almost too distinctly Miranda to be singles. For example, "Platinum" is a fun, cheeky song, but hardly relatable unless you're a sassy blonde starlet. It's great that Miranda avoids generic fodder that so many other country artists succumb to, but there needs to be a middle ground - songs that suit the individual artist, yet ones with which the masses can also identify.
That said, I think "Girls," "Smokin' and Drinkin'," "Priscilla," and "Holding On To You" would make great singles. "Babies Makin' Babies" is super catchy too, although not sure if it's lyrically suited to radio. "Bathroom Sink" is beautifully written.

Something Bad is #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Second #1 there for Miranda Lambert following We Were Us, her duet with Keith Urban and it is the first for Carrie Underwood. #1 streaming country song as well.

I'm keeping track of her sales and I wanted to post an update as well as this upcoming weel sales prediction. I thought I'd start a new album thread for Miranda since the "Four The Record" era is clearly over and we're expecting a new single release. Here is the previous thread.Approx Album Sales:Week 1: 180k (#1)Week 2: 62k (#2)Week 3: 34k (#6)Week 4: 29k (#8)Total: 305kHere's an updated approximate sales run with information from the week billboard article with soundscan numbers. Estimated HITS update this week:Miranda Lambert (RCA Nashville) 27-30k She'll likely be near 335k next week. :)

"Somethin' Bad" has officially hit #1. I have a feeling "Priscilla" will be the next single, since she performed during the Macy's Fireworks show last night, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I just hope "Girls" gets a single release. I think it would be a great fall/winter single.

Priscilla would be a great choice imo; it's probably my third favorite out of everything left (behind "Smokin' and Drinkin' (feat. Little Big Town)" and "Platinum"). I'd be happy with any of those choices honestly.

I definitely want "Priscilla" as a single. I see it as the biggest hit on the album after the first two singles.

I want Another Sunday in the South and Girls next. :( As long as they both get released I'm fine with Priscilla.

I really like Platinum! I'd like to see that released as a single at some point... Country music hasn't got me excited in a while (except for SB and Bartender) So I'd love to see the next single be a song that I will play for a while!!!
Overall, best country album I've heard all year!

Someone on another message board pointed out "hotter than a two dollar pistol" lyric is in reference to George Jones...I didn't know that, so I found it interesting.
Still loving this album, and it's one of the first releases in a LONG time that I can play from start to finish.
I'm still obsessed with Little Red Wagon and Gravity's A B*itch, and I even love Smokin' And Drinkin' and Platinum now as well.
Another Sunday In The South always puts me in a really good mood, and it's just a great song all-around. Miranda's team can't go wrong with anything from this album, but I'll be especially disappointed if that one's not a single at some point.
It's kind of disheartening they'll probably go 4 singles deep with this album, because there are so many golden opportunities here.
As a fan who was extremely disappointed with "Four The Record," I am BEYOND thrilled this album is stellar from top to bottom, and Miranda has fully won me over again.
She's one of the best (if not THE best), album artist in the genre right now, so her success just makes me so happy for her.

The first thought is George Jones' The One I Loved Back Then The Corvette Song from 1986 (#3). I will post a video for it.

Not much of a Miranda fan, but I did check out her earlier albums and listened to Platinum. I was impressed with this one. Her best album by far, in my opinion. I hope Holding Onto You and Platinum will be singles at some point.
