I think this will scrape the top 10 but not much else. Still way better than I originally thought it would do.

This song lost audience and moved down a spot on Billboard to #13, but still maintained it's bullet. Can someone explain how to me? It makes no sense.

It gained 5 spins, so it was able to keep its bullet.
I do think it has peaked though, and this is likely its last week on the chart.

Where do they go from here in terms of follow up single? "She Don't Love You" or would That be to brave?

I think "Country Side Of Heaven" is a strong song as well. Also, there is a tune that he recorded which didn't make it on the album called "Amarillo Rain". Incredible... probably could have been the best ballad on the album.

I'm glad this is about done. This has been one of my least-favorite singles on the radio during its time on the charts and I won't miss it. I'm still pretty surprised it did as well as it has, but I guess with him being a male artist means "everybody gets a hit."

Hmm. Funny enough, despite the lyrical content going virtually nowhere in this song (and thus finding it to be absolute bull-crap), I expected this to make it to the top 5 against my wishes...simply because I don't trust the judgment of today's country radio programmers, or those of any genre for that matter.

This song rallied in today's Mediabase update, gaining 40 spins and nearly 400k in audience, so it may stave off going recurrent for at least another week. But I agree with the general consensus that this appears to be about done. I am guessing that EMI is trying to sneak it into the top 10 before letting it go, though.

Certainly seems to make sense to try and get this one a Top 10. As for follow-up singles, I could see the label picking "Keep On Falling," "Good With Wine" or perhaps "Never Really Wanted," if they wanted to try again there (seems like they won't). I love "The Country Side Of Heaven" but I can definitely see them trying "She Don't Love You."

To be honest, there aren't many radio friendly songs on the album (at least ones with potential to be a huge hit) outside of "Friday Night" and "Never Really Wanted" (which could be a huge hit now that he's known IMO). Even SAG isn't that radio friendly IMO.

This looks done as of today's update. Down 134 spins and nearly 1 million in AI just today alone. Not sure why they fought for one more week outside the top 10 after losing airplay two weeks ago, but it appears to be finished now.

I erased my post because I was about to post about this but you beat me to it ;) Peaks at #11 for Mediabase, #12 for Billboard Country Airplay.

I really hope they go with She Don't Love You as the follow up to this. There is no way that wouldn't be a hit.

I don't think this is a great song by any means, pretty simple and basic really HOWEVER, with that being said it does NOT sound remotely like Bro-Country to me and for that reason I am all in. Plus, I do like the melody and the tracks sound great. Radio play it all you want and hope it climbs the charts more so than some of the other crap out there (even though it most likely won't) :)

It peaked at #11 on MB and #12 on Billboard. Personally I'm glad this is done and missed the top 10. The song subject was vague and confusing with throwing a bunch of cliches about what the song wasn't about, but not being in depth about the subject it said the song was about.

I don't know if we will get a 3rd single. The album is selling next to nothing, and there's not many obvious single choices. Seeing how this one started so strong and faltered late, I wouldn't be surprised if they hold off until a new single for a new album is ready, especially with all these big names releasing new songs. Throwing out a 3rd single right now would probably just derail any momentum Eric has gained. Honestly, Eric seems like a good guy, but there's nothing about him that makes his name pop with audiences. Unless he can write a "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" for himself, I just don't ever seeing him being a consistent and popular act.
