^Approx. 186,000 in pure album sales I still can't believe this number, such a shame.

Has BIM been officially confirmed as the next single? Odd that the video is shot and the song has no adds date. Curious if this is just a video for the era.

It well may be a video, if the label thinks trying to push it is fruitless.

There was official confirmation that it is the next single. But that is all they said.

It looks Her Madgesty, the Queen of Pop, Culture and All Entertainment, will be having loads of fun in this new video, and perhaps acting in a manner too "youthful" for a woman her age- just because, Bitch, She's Madonna, and she can.

Congrats to her on the 45th #1. That's pretty damn impressive, en though expected. So when she has her 50th #1, they really need to rename the chart to the Madonna Dance Club Play Chart. I became a huge Madonna fan during the "Madonna" era. I remember liking Holiday. I taped it off the radio onto a cassette. I kind of remember watching M perform it on American Bandstand. MTV played the Borderline video so much. I loved the song and the video. Each Friday I looked in the Buffalo newspaper for the new Top 10 of the Hot 100. I was so happy when I saw Borderline at #10. MTV at the time was also playing the Burning Up video. It looked cheap compared to the Borderline video, but I still liked it. Then I saw the Lucky Star video. Mega fan immediately. I loved that it was an all choreography video. I went and bought the Madonna album cassette at a local music store in June 1984. I played that album over and over again. I requested Lucky Star on KissFm out of Buffalo in August. I waited 6 hours and they never played it! I bought the 7 inch singles for Borderline and Lucky Star along with the 12-inch singles for Everybody, Lucky Star/Borderline and Burning Up/Physical Attraction. We actually paid for music back in 1984!! LOL That's pretty awesome. Her debut era is my favorite! I wish I could have experienced it first hand. I didn't become a huge fan until the "Confessions" era, but that era opened the door for me to her studio albums and I went back and bought them all after that. "Like A Prayer" had the biggest effect on me, even though it's not my personal favorite, its the one I was most impressed with in terms of her as an artist and singer.

LOL I did pay for music back then often....however, many kids including myself loved to buy blank cassette tapes and put them in our boom box and tape songs off the radio!!

Since we were talking about when we first started listening to Madonna..and fell in love with it all...for me it was my 8th grade dance at the West Long Branch Community Center (New Jersey) in the fall of 1983. They would just play the tapes of what the kids brought. someone had a copy of Madonna's album and I had never heard it before. They played the song Burning Up and I was hooked.

wow this thread has gotten really quiet. seems like a really short era. I imagine the BIM vid will make a small splash, then we'll have to wait for the tour for some excitement.

She needs to say "fuck" one last time on his show.

She needs to say "f**k" one last time on his show. As I have said before, I loved the Erotica era and the f*ckit/boundary pushing that she did back then. Of course she has softened with age, as most people do, but I absolutely love to see her shock and rub people the wrong way! It's just hard to shock anymore, with any artist pretty much. M already knocked those walls down 25 years ago.

I have a feeling the BIM video will be a TIDAL exclusive.

That's so cool that Madonna has the most Club Play #1s. There are a lot of people that are into dance music and club remixes.

She's not posting anywhere near she was a few weeks ago. I guess she's winding down to get ready for the tour. I miss everybody already. Years and years will go by before we get another era. :'(

I was just reviewing her Dance / Club Play stats. She has achieved the following:
-57 charting singles -55 Top 10 Singles (Who's That Girl peaks at #44, Love Don't Live Here Anymore peaks at #16) -52 Top 5 Singles -45 #1 Singles
Pretty amazing.

M's had 12 Hot 100 No. 1s (and six No. 2s). At top 40 radio, she's had 15 No. 1s. And on Cashbox charts, some Hot 100 No. 2s did hit No. 1 on there. Am I wrong to detect some shade in your above comment on the Dance chart (and some other posts)? I know, it would be very out of character.
