^First few tours? Including Blond Ambition? :o If not, it's a must- set the standard for tours, that few live up to.
Dreams- I also dig that performance of "Holiday."

^Oh my- your whole perspective of performance may change- for the better, of course. ;) (though you've probably seen some of her non-tour performances).

The first show has begun in Montreal. She took the stage at 9:30 PM after Diplo played a set.
There are plenty of fan video recordings all over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It looks like it will be another excellent tour.

Based on what I heard (I did not see consistent video, as my computer lagged behind the periscope stream)- the tour sounds TERRIFIC.

The BEST concert I've EVER been to. Full review and pics +video coming tomorrow. Insane set list.
Preview:
Shocked that she left out Ghost Town and Hung Up. Thought it would be her encore.
Surprised she sang: closed with Holiday, Holy Water and, that she opened with Iconic...crazy opening video.

Please keep spoilers hidden! Lol I haven't bought my tix yet to Saturday's concert, but a good friend is buying 4 tix (2 couples together). It's gonna be a blast I'm sure!! Hope she sings some classics she didn't sing in Confessions or MDNA, her only tours I've been to. That Pat Leonard interview was awesome! He's a class act. Loved the quote from Pete Townshend, the reference to the LaP sessions, his perception that M hasn't changed, his comments on RoL... Plus the comments on Holiday and LaV performances. I re-watched both!
Also, that RS list was strange. I agreed with the top 10 more or less, but some inclusions of non-singles (Promise to try?) and exclusions of singles (Take a bow, you'll see) were weird, as well as the positions of great songs like PDP. Anyway. I'm super excited about this Saturday! Perfect timing --just 3 weeks after my 40th birthday :))

I'm officially logging off this topic till I see the show. My news feed is already cluttered with footage I'm trying to scroll past. Ug!! Damn social media! Hope you all have a great time! I'll check in after the show in Miami. Which is awhile, but I want surprises. It's better that way.

She's going to get it for the pole dancing crucifixes! That's why I love this woman! Even I was a little taken a back.

She's going to get it for the pole dancing crucifixes! That's why I love this woman! Even I was a little taken a back. "Holy Water" was always going to be a controversial one with the lyrics combining sex and religion in such a way. And of course, we knew she would take it up several notches for a live performance.

Did the show start on time? I HATED the fact that she came out an hour and a half late when I saw the MDNA tour.

Did the show start on time? I HATED the fact that she came out an hour and a half late when I saw the MDNA tour. You were lucky...I saw MDNA 4x and she never came out before 10:30pm for me...and the ticket said 8pm. It was beyond aggravating. I heard last night she came out at 9:30pm and that Diplo started his opening act around 8:30-ish. I am seeing her in NYC, so we get to see Amy Schumer. I LOVE Amy, so the delayed start of Madonna is fine by me. If I was sitting there for over 2 hours with nothing to entertain me, I would lose patience.

I don't mind her coming on late at all, Madonna concerts are one huge party, I never want them to end. You make so many new friends. I cannot wait for this tour. The setlist being disappointing??? I mean she sang so many oldies, I cannot complain. If she should change one song, it would be the Hard Candy one, but hey its Madonna and she makes me happy.

I watched a few clips on youtube and she seems so joyous. She is really putting her vocals front and center and it sounds beautiful. This is why she is the best selling female artist of all time singing to the world's largest audiences. Instead of the whispered, whistled miasma of melisma, M sings with direct clarity that pours out of her heart and truly connects with humanity.

The setlist being disappointing??? I mean she sang so many oldies, I cannot complain. If she should change one song, it would be the Hard Candy one, but hey its Madonna and she makes me happy. She didn't sing "Ghosttown" which was a single and a successful one at the AC charts. A very beautiful song, pretty much up there with with her classic ballads. "Hold Tight" would've sounded fucking EPIC in an arena with those big drums. "Joan of Arc," which the first act is named after, wasn't performed either. Another beautiful song. "La Isla Bonita" has been performed to death and it's not like last night's performance was all that, so I would've liked it replaced with some other song. And her obsession with "Candy Shop" is odd. Also, *zero* songs from LAP, ROL and COADF; her most revered albums of the 80's, 90's and 00's respectively. Look, the woman has a big catalog of pop classics so, obviously, can't perform all of them... I totally understand that... BUT I still think the setlist could use some tweaking. I'm sure casual fans must've been all "WTF?!" at "Like A Prayer," "Express Yourself," "Frozen," "Hung Up" missing. I really enjoyed "True Blue" and, especially, "Who's That Girl" though... even in acoustic form; that was really cute and she sounded lovely.

My video of Rebel Heart. Will post others and review when they're finished uploading. It takes FOREVER to upload a video over this hotel wi-fi. Diplo was also standing behind me with Mercy and David watching the show, until he came up for Unapologetic Bitch.
