She performed it in Quebec City too I believe. The next show is tomorrow night in Philly, so we will find out.

M , for a split second, she was in Montreal again the other night. :) A Philadelphia outlet anticipating the Queen: www.philly.com/philly/entertainment/music/20150922_Madonna_loves_Pope_Francis.htmlMadonna loves Pope FrancisLauren McCutcheon, Daily News Staff Writer Posted: Tuesday, September 22, 2015 Madonna comes to town on tour Thursday, two days before Pope Francis arrives. Coincidence? Or, is the Queen of Pop trying to meet up with il Papa? Madonna Ciccone, 57, has spent three decades riling up the church that inspired her holy first name. She's rolled around stages in wedding (or are they First Holy Communion?) dresses, accessorized corsets with crucifixes and rosaries (and a belt buckle reading "BOY TOY"), and spoken out loudly and proudly against Catholic orthodoxy. She may have made strides toward family values with "Papa Don't Preach," her 1986 hit about "keepin' my baby." But then came 1989's "Like a Prayer" video - stigmata, saint-kissing, cross-burning and all - which seemed tame compared with her 2006 "Confessions" tour, wherein she belted the ballad while hoisted upon a glittering cross, a custom-made bloody crown of thorns around her head. She even pulled off the performance in a Roman arena just 1 mile from Vatican City. No wonder past popes have accused her of "blasphemy" and "provocation." Madonna has said she's been excommunicated three times. And yet . . . the iconic controversialist has also confessed to having quite a thing for the current Bishop of Rome. In February she told Billboard, "I... feel this new pope is kind of groovy. And I think we might be able to get together and have a chat about sex." Um, maybe not. But they could talk dance. The best-selling female recording artist of all time got her start dancing. She tangos with Terrence Howard in her lush apocalyptic video "Ghosttown." The tango is the signature dance of the pontiff's native home of Argentina. On the pope's 78th birthday, pilgrims in St. Peter's Square tangoed in his honor. His holiness and the maven of Maverick Records could also talk history. Madonna won a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal of Argentine first lady Eva Peron in "Evita." (She tangos with Antonio Banderas in the film.) Then again, the unlikely pair could just break bread together. In response to the pope's statement that he "would not judge" the gay community, Madonna told an Italian radio host, "God bless Pope Francis. We've got to meet. A plate of pasta, a bottle of good wine. Do I have a chance?" Chances are, no. World Meeting of Families festival host Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg might get an audience with the Bishop of Rome. The "Material Girl" is not likely to. Pope Francis arrives in Philly on Saturday morning. That night, Madonna has to do the Boston leg of her much-praised, nostalgic-yet-fierce "Rebel Heart" tour. That night, she'll probably reprise "Like a Virgin," "Dress You Up," "La Isla Bonita," "Get Into the Groove" and "Holiday," along with recent releases "Living for Love" and "Bitch I'm Madonna." Maybe so, but that doesn't mean Francis is gonna chill wit' you any time soon, Madge. Madonna, Wells Fargo Center, 3601 S. Broad St., 8 p.m. Thursday, $40-$355, 800-298-4200, comcasttix.com.

http://www.nyunews.c...-square-garden/ Jake Viswanath, Contributing writer September 23, 2015 At one point during her Thursday night show at Madison Square Garden, Madonna sat down at the end of her cross-shaped catwalk, guitar in hand, and started talking to the audience. “Well here we are, 30 years later,” Madonna said to the screaming crowd, referring to the first time she played the Garden on her 1985 “Virgin Tour.” “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.” It was a particularly heartfelt and nostalgic moment from the Queen of Pop, something that’s unusual for her shows. Among other things, Madonna is known for her intense and provocative world tours. They are usually filled with profanity-laced greetings rather than heart, and a focus on the present rather than the past. Even her greatest hits are reimagined when they are brought out. This is part of what has kept fans coming back to see her for 30 years. But the singer’s new “Rebel Heart Tour” has a different feel. The show, her second of two at the Garden, kicked off in classic Madonna style as she sang “Rebel Heart” from a descending cage surrounded by dancers dressed as medieval guards. She followed with a rendition of “Bitch I’m Madonna” and an electric guitar-driven “Burning Up,” the first of a few reinventions of ’80s classics throughout the night. The show’s obligatory blasphemous number was a mashup of “Rebel Heart’s” “Holy Water” and the classic “Vogue,” during which the provocateur and four dancers dressed as scantily-clad nuns performed with cross-shaped stripper poles before recreating “The Last Supper” on stage. It was a sight to behold, and one of the evening’s most unforgettable moments. As the night went on, however, Madonna began to focus less on jaw-dropping theatrics and more on simply having fun. The sheer joy was contagious throughout the arena, as she and the audience danced to a faithful rendition of “Deeper and Deeper” and a remixed “Like a Virgin,” complete with a strip tease. The night was filled with audience interaction, making it more intimate than your average pop show. After thanking specific fans in the crowd for their support, she brought an unsuspecting fan on stage to dance with her during “Unapologetic Bitch.” But the show’s most special moment came as she sang an acoustic version of “True Blue,” a song she has not performed live since 1987’s “Who’s That Girl Tour” while the song’s subject, Oscar-winning actor and ex-husband Sean Penn, watched from the front row. It was a sign that their tumultuous relationship has come full-circle on a good note, and a remarkably personal moment to witness in a theatrical arena show. The “Rebel Heart Tour” proves that Madonna can thrill an arena crowd without the bells and whistles that make up her typical pop spectacle. She has never sounded better or looked more at ease on stage, giving fans yet another reason to keep coming back after a three-decade career with no sign of stopping soon

On the iTunes Pop Albums chart, Madonna is experiencing a nice little sales boost from her tour: #165 - Celebration #80 - The Immaculate Collection #31 - Rebel Heart -Rebel Heart is hanging in there still at #33 -Immaculate Collection is up to #57 -Celebration is up to #161 Not sure we will ever get a re-entry on the Billboard 200, but nice to see the sales gains.

Last week after the Barclay show RH peak on iTunes was 125. Maybe it will rise even higher this week since she is performing in the states for a longer period.

Yes David loves her and she loves him. It's so easy to see the love they share as mother and son.

Yes David loves her and she loves him. It's so easy to see the love they share as mother and son. Remember when people said she should adopt a needy American or British child rather than stealing babies from other countries? M proves yet again that love is more powerful than hate.

As delighted as I am by LVER, I hope she will replace it w/TAB. I understand that would be much more demanding vocally, but even a couple of performances over the tour would be a godsend.

I am FURIOUS that I'm missing this tour. Dammit, dammit, dammit. I'm loving all the reviews that said she went lighter and more effervescent with this one. The MDNA tour was pretty violent and cold, granted, I loved it, but it would be nice to see the flipside.
I doubt she'll ever come to Pittsburgh again after her MDNA stop. Talk about a shitshow, haha.

Hmmm.what happened in Pittsburgh? She played Pittsburgh the night of the last presidential election. In the middle of the concert, Obama was declared the winner. She gave a pro-Obama speech, hundreds of people were booing and she basically told them all to shut up. Then she dedicated "Masterpiece" to him. Tons of people walked out in the middle of the concert. There were people yelling and arguing with each other, it was pretty ugly. You could cut the tension in that arena with a knife and it never settled back down.

MADONNA AT WELLS FARGO CENTERPublished On September 25, 2015 | ConcertsOften imitated but never duplicated, pop music icon Madonna is in a league of her own. Her 13 albums have spawned 82 singles, 69 music videos, 10 World tours, and earned her appearances in a variety of movies. While we have heard rumblings in recent years that Madonna is too old, is trying too hard, and needs to hang it up, we couldn’t disagree more. If the legion of fans that packed the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, September 24th for her ‘Rebel Heart Tour’ was any indication, the Queen of Pop won’t be departing from the spotlight anytime soon. The best selling female artist of all time is still going strong at age 57 and we were there first hand to witness the spectacle that is Madonna. The Wells Fargo Center was abuzz from the moment we arrived just before 9pm. The anticipation was palpable with fans young and old counting down the minutes until the curtain (adorned with the Rebel Heart album cover) dropped. At 945pm, the wait was over and the stage filled with dancers in exotic, soldier-like costumes, brandishing large metal poles with crosses affixed to the ends. Opening with ‘Iconic’, the Material Girl, in an aptly iconic moment, descended from the rafters in a steel cage. Once the cage reached stage level, it opened, and released Madonna into the clutches of the ‘armed’ dancers. The crowd went bananas, chanting her name, and snapping photos on the cell phones. She transitioned into her second song ‘Bitch I’m Madonna’ flanked by a gaggle of asian dancers. For her third number, ‘Burning Up’, she dawned an electric guitar and made her way out onto the lengthy runway that ran from the stage out into the floor seats. With flames flashing across the huge digital screens behind her, she rocked the Wells Fargo Center with one of her early hits. The building was electric and would stay that way throughout her 20+ song performance. The next few hours were filled with hits both old and new, a whirlwind of costume, stage, and dancer changes, and a sea of fans that fully seemed to appreciate that they were in the presence of one of the most well known, talented, envelope pushing female artists of our lifetime. Sure, we’ve been annoyed with some of her antics over the past few years (like when she suddenly developed a British accent or when appeared on stage with Avicii at Ultra Music Festival in 2013 and asked the all ages crowd “have you seen Molly?”, which she later claimed was not a drug reference) but all of that nonsense vacated our thoughts from the moment her captivating performance began. 30 years after her first tour in 1985, she continues to bring the thunder to the stage. She even dedicated a song to Pope Francis (‘La Isla Bonita’) who is scheduled to appear in Philly this weekend. “”Rules are for fools. That’s why I like the new pope. He seems very open-minded.” she told the Philly faithful. We would have loved to see the Pope join her on stage for ‘Like a Prayer’, ‘Like a Virgin’, or ‘Papa Don’t Preach’, but alas it was not meant to be. For lifelong fans of Madonna, not even the Pope himself could have made this a more religious experience. If you have the chance to catch Madonna when she rolls into your city, we highly recommend snagging a ticket and getting into the groove. www.independentphilly.com/madonna-at-wells-fargo-center/

the possitive reviews keep stacking up. Still en ‘vogue’: Madonna shows some things get better with age ROCK ON: Madonna gestures to the crowd during her concert at TD Garden last night Sunday, September 27, 2015 PrintEmail7 Comments By: Jed Gottlieb Madonna carries the burden of being 57 in a world where Britney is an old maid at 33. But if we ignore Madge’s age, or forget that the current crop of hot, unremarkable young things run the pop industry, we can step back and enjoy the Rebel Heart Tour for the mature spectacle that it is. Whoa, whoa, I know crucifixes as stripper poles and nuns in short shorts isn’t grown up. But Madonna’s packed TD Garden show last night still seemed so much more adult (in every sense of the word) than the infantilism of Katy Perry’s dancing sharks and Taylor Swift’s cutesy ’80s fetish. Madonna’s visions have a smart, thought-out feel her imitators can’t replicate. Her dancers’ execution makes her would-be peers look like amateurs — the simple, thrilling choreography of “Deeper and Deeper” reminded that talent beats tech every time. Oh, and her pop crushes all comers. “At the end of the day the smoke and mirrors don’t matter,” she told the crowd strumming an acoustic guitar ahead of (surprisingly) killer “Who’s That Girl.” “It’s the music that matters.” Her new songs balanced the Material Girl with a modern one. She opened with “Iconic” and its bizarre sample of Mike Tyson ranting about his unequaled skills before dropping into a thumping groove that continued into “(expletive) I’m Madonna” and “Burning Up.” Her “Holy Water”/“Vogue” mashup mixed sex and the sacred (and those pole-dancing nuns). “Living For Love,” maybe her best song this century, delivered the hook and gospel harmonies of old-school Top 40 — and had loads more snap and pop than her Grammy performance. Unwilling to be enveloped in nostalgia, she deconstructed her classics. Like “Who’s That Girl,” “True Blue” got an acoustic makeover, this one with Madonna on ukulele. Stalking the catwalk alone, she pimped out “Like a Virgin” with a fresh club beat. The band opened “Music” with some jazz age swagger. She extended the flamenco vibe of “La Isla Bonita” through a medley of “Dress You Up”/“Into The Groove”/“Lucky Star.” Ignore the constant chatter surrounding her private life and turn your back on the idea a pop star must be irrelevant after 30. Instead dig into her exotic and familiar cocktail until she can’t mix it up anymore — she’s good for at least one more mega-event like this one. Embrace that her blonde ambition continues to make her the genre’s greatest icon. www.Boston Herald And another positive review MUSIC SCENE: Madonna's 'Rebel Heart Tour' dazzles Boston www.enterprisenews.com/article/2 ... ERTAINMENT Madonna's show at TD Garden on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, was a dazzler. By Jay Miller Posted Sep 27, 2015 at 12:01 AM Updated at 7:32 AM There's a long tradition in popular culture of artists who pushed the envelope and redefined the boundaries, but when it comes to pop music, few performers have so gleefully filled the role of iconoclast as Madonna. To say that she's been a groundbreaker for female music stars would be an understatement, and a short list of current stars who were largely influenced or inspired by her would have to include Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Pink, The Spice Girls, and Nicki Minaj. But the prototype herself was onstage at TD Garden in Boston Saturday night, and her two hour extravaganza didn't disappoint. Madonna may have ventured afield into acting, writing, and assorted charity work, but first and foremost she's a pop star. In fact, to be more precise, she has always taken immense pleasure in being a "pop tart," thematically pushing up against the societal norms of sex and proper behavior for young ladies, and not least of which, teasing her conservative Catholic upbringing. Part and parcel of Madonna's musical identity has been a virtually unbroken string of dance-pop hits, whether they be updated disco, hip-hop-flavored r&b, or techno-driven beat-heavy epics. Her songs are frequently ridiculously infectious dance numbers, and her lyrics have that knack of getting your attention, whether she's happily being outrageous or making a serious point about empowerment--and sometimes she's capable of doing both simultaneously. Controversy may be her middle name, but nobody ever accused Madonna of being boring, and Saturday's 23-song romp surely was anything but boring, and hardly predictable. Overall impressions of this "Rebel Heart Tour" would have to center on the sheer spectacle of the night, where you could spend a thousand words describing each song, because the staging and dance routines, mini-dramas and quick and frequently humorous sidelights, were so intricate. But there were also a lot of musical styles covered, and if most of the music was dance-club friendly, Madonna proved herself to be an omniverous and laudably versatile stylist. To perhaps extract a quick soundbite, Madonna's evening ranged all the way from roaring techno on "Bitch I'm Madonna" to fairly mainstream rock 'n' roll on "Body Shop" to almost Celtic folk-rock on "Devil Pray" to traditional Spanish on "La Isla Bonita" to a quite lovely acoustic cover of Edith Piaf's signature tune, "La Vie En Rose," where the singer's ukelele, and a very low key accordion was the only accompaniment. That's a lot of musical variety, and Madonna, 57, and her four-piece backup band, two backup vocalists, and 14 dancers delivered it all with panache.
