If nothing else this proves to me that the guys from Fla-Ga Line can write non-bro country songs. This should do really well on radio.

This should get him to the top (hopefully not the first one).
I actually love this one.

I love this too. Male version of Sheryl Crows latest. What sucks is Sheryl's song is struggling and Coles will fly to the top ten

"Chillin' It" is one of the worst things to happen to country radio ever in my opinion, but I LOVE this song. So glad that he has some quality music since its inevitable that he'll be around at least until the bro-country trend dies

I've been hearing this a lot on The Highway already, and I'm liking it. It will surely be another Top 10 for Cole. It's great to see new artists on the top charts.

I'm unimpressed with this one as well. Melodically, it's better than "Chillin' It" (which was awful) but the production on this is so typical of the other bro songs. It will do well for him, but will be a station changer for me.

According to Melinda Newman's column in the newest issue of Billboard (March 8th), this will be Cole's next single, although no going-for-adds date was mentioned.

While I think Cole's voice isn't as strong as many of the other male voices on the radio, he has so far picked singles that are in his vocal wheelhouse. This song is catchy and is a sure fire top 10 if not higher. I haven't been able to get it out of my head for the last couple days.

Not to bump an old thread but what has been made of this single. It's been pretty quiet , is it even still climbing the charts?

It's up to #31 on Mediabase as of tonight's update, and we'll find out Billboard tomorrow. It's in the Top 20 at iTunes Country (I believe) and is doing alright, but it's not lighting the world on fire.

It's been moving up, was #29 on Billboard Airplay last week. Just moving at a relatively slow pace. Even though Chillin It was a big hit and his album had strong debut sales, radio is still treating him like the relatively new artist that he is. Should probably peak around end of August or early September.

I told you guys back in the "Chillin' It" thread that Cole will be a One Hit Wonder and it looks like my prediction is still accurate. It's a shame, though, as this is 100% better then "Chillin' It". Lol, this has only spent 11 weeks on the chart Brian. It's not exactly moving up super fast but we're about to see a big house-cleaning and I expect this one to take off in the next month or so. The sales have been pretty solid as well.

I'm unimpressed with this one as well. Melodically, it's better than "Chillin' It" (which was awful) but the production on this is so typical of the other bro songs. It will do well for him, but will be a station changer for me. I remembered posting in this thread so I clicked on it just to see what's up. Well, I listend to it again on here and I have actually been hearing it on the radio. It actually hasn't been a station changer for me. Still not crazy about the production, but I think this is one of those songs that I had to keep hearing to warm up to. I like it now- the chorus is very good and the vocal arrangements are nice throughout the whole song. It's been a slow climber, but I think it still has life in it. I didn't like "Chillin It" and there's something about it I'm still not crazy about, but the funny thing is, the overall melody of that one isn't that different from this one. It actually has it's bright moments too melodically if you listen with an open mind. The arrangement of "Chillin It" is not nearly as good though; it's more repetitive which gives it more of a bro-country feel. Maybe if the production and instrumentation was different people (and by people I mean us on Pulse lol) wouldn't have hated it so much. Sometime I'll probably check this guy's album out. I'm curious what it's like. He might not be as terrible as I once thought he was.

This looks likely to move up to #28 on Billboard come Tuesday, since 4 songs will be going recurrent. And then the following week, 3 others from up ahead ("Rewind", "Get Me Some Of That", & "Invisible") will all go recurrent, opening up more room for this one to move up. Lady A will probably race on by, but besides them, there really aren't any other threats...ZBB maybe, but they're not exactly setting a blistering pace.

This guy is just living off Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line's leftovers. I mean, Luke's producer's son (Jody Stevens of Fast Ryde) produced the first single, Luke's guitarist produced the rest of the album, and the guys in FlaGa wrote this.
That said, it's funny how the song that actually has FlaGa's names on it sounds less like "Florida Georgia Lite" than "Chillin' It" did. This one is actually pretty good. Solid melody and lyrics.

It's only been out for 11 weeks. Lonely will not peak until late July or early August. It is far from done, still needs 40 something stations to add. If you think Cole is going to be a one-hit wonder, you obviously haven't listened to the entire album. Songs like Ain't Worth the Whiskey, Swayin, Brought To You By Beer and Dozen Roses and a Six Pack are all potential big radio singles.

It's only been out for 11 weeks. Lonely will not peak until late July or early August. If it's going to be a big hit, it'll need a lot longer than that to peak. Late July is 2 months from now...roughly 8-10 weeks. If this goes top 10 or higher, there's no way it's getting there in ~20 total chart weeks. I think this will probably peak in October or November, assuming that Warner Bros. sticks with it and gets at least a top 15 out of this (and I think they will. And I think it'll do better than just top 15, too).

I've heard this quite often on radio here in ohio. His entire album is actually solid which I didn't expect after Chillin It. Some actual solid country music on there with Dozen Roses, Swaying, and I Just Want You. This will be a big hit that will gain steam so and steam rail itself into the top ten for a late August #2-10 peak. (My prediction)

Oughta see this thing finally start to get legs this week. 18 adds this week alone and is researching better than Chillin It in many markets. Charts are just cluttered at the moment.

I expect this song to take off soon. With 3-4 songs going recurrent on BB this week, it should burst through to the top 20. I much prefer this song to Chillin' It, which I thought was just ok. I'm surprised more people aren't attacking this one for being "bro" since it's simply a song about a booty call. It seems like many Pulse users actually don't mind this one.

He started as Luke Bryan's merch guy, so, yeah, he's benefiting from Luke Bryan. But he's also written some songs for Luke Bryan (including new single "Roller Coaster" and his Billboard Country #1 and Radio #2 duet "This is How We Roll" with Florida Georgia Line), so he deserves credit for THEIR success as well. Also can't forget that he wrote Thomas Rhett's bro-country smash "Get Me Some of That."

I can only speak for myself, but I can only post to so many threads lamenting over the state of country music and my disdain for the repetitive songs about getting girls into bed (trucks, beer, etc). Right or wrong, Cole does not get as much attention from me because his music isn't "in my face" on the radio the way Luke's or FGL's music is. It is much easier for me to ignore. I have heard this song a bit more this past week though, or rather I should say, I've heard parts of this song more this past week because this is a station changer for me. It does not make me want to vomit nearly as bad as Rhett's "Get Me Some of That". Thanks Cole for that one. Not.

Of all the songs to complain about on the radio today being bro-country, I'm surprised this is one that some people are going to bat against. The song is catchy, mid-tempo and beats around the bush with a little more class than most of the songs you'd hear everyday. I hope this one does well and Cole leaves the bro-country songs to other artists.

After reading some comments about this song in the Florida Georgia Line thread about "Dirt" I thought I would come back and read my comments of a couple weeks ago. I was wrong when I said that I did not dislike this song nearly as much as Rhett's "Get Me Some of That". The more I hear this song, the more I dislike it. I just went and read the lyrics. OK, now I hate it more. My coworker and I incessantly make fun of this song at work when it comes on the radio. My take is that all this guy cares about is getting the girl into bed with him. My co-worker's take is that wishing that someone gets lonely is mean. If he really liked this girl, he would say something like "I wish you were happy". At least it is musically more appealing than songs like "This is How We Roll" and so I can tolerate it in the background as long as I don't think about what the song is saying.

Out of all the bro-country trend, this guy actually doesn't bother me much. "Chillin' It" was decent and I've actually grown to like that one a little bit now that this is out because I quite like HYGLT. His music is pretty inoffensive compared to others and it just kind of works for me as just catchy radio fodder. I've started hearing this a lot lately on the radio and I gotta say I've been enjoying it. I think its the melody in particular that is making this click for me.

Either Worth the Whiskey or Dozen Roses and a Six-Pack are pretty safe bets to be the next single. Wrote both of them more than 3 years ago and pitched em to every name in Nashville to no avail. Either one will be his next hit.
