49 weeks to #1 for Let It Rain, 35 weeks to #1 for Whatever She's Got. Hopefully, this one will take David Nail to the top a lot faster!

^ I think it will. "Let It Rain" was followed by the not warmly received "The Sound Of A Million Dreams". "Kiss You Tonight" sounds more radio friendly (Personally I thought "The Sound Of A Million Dreams" was one of the best singles in recent years by any artist, despite how radio treated it). I do think David's level of stardom is trending upwards. "Whatever She's Got" was a strong #1 from the time it got to the top 30 all the way to the top. So his momentum couldn't be higher for him right now. Not predicting another top 5, but I do see this having a much more healthy start up the charts than his previous singles.
I don't know when the add date is, but perhaps they will wait an extra couple weeks due to the likely high recurrent play for "Whatever She's Got".

Written by Trent Summar? Sweet. I loved "Love You", and I loved his cover of "It Never Rains in Southern California" with the New Row Mob.

My favorite voice in country radio right now. Can't wait to hear the studio track of this!

Songs For Sale was also amazing, loved the imagery in that song. He reminds me of a modern day Charlie Rich, very soulful and can sing the phonebook and make it sound good.
Very excited for Mar 4 indeed

Going for adds on March 3rd, according to AllAccess. Sidenote: Are all the labels allergic to February 24? No major releases going for adds that day, but we had a bunch today (17th/18th adds dates) and 5 major releases lined up for the 3rd as well. Just a random observation..

I hadn't seen that anywhere yet (AllAccess, R&R, MusicRow) For major releases today we had: - Miranda Lambert - "Automatic" (RCA)
- Lee Brice - "I Don't Dance" (Curb)
- Gloriana - "Best Night Ever" (Emblem/Warner Bros/WMN)
- Eric Paslay - "Song About A Girl" (EMI)
- JJ Lawhorn - "Good Ol' Boys Like Us" (Average Joes)
And for the 3rd: - The Band Perry - "Chainsaw" (Republic)
- David Nail - "Kiss You Tonight" (MCA)
- Tracey Lawrence - "Lie" (LMG/Tenacity)
- Kellie Pickler - "Closer To Nowhere" (Black River)
- Swon Brothers - "Later On" (Arista)
No official adds dates set yet for Joel Crouse, Cassadee Pope, Dallas Smith, Glen Templeton, David Fanning, or the new Luke & Cole singles.

I still count theirs as a 'major release' because they've charted before and were formerly with a big label. And I also think the new song could chart. I like the preview of David's new song. I really hope he can be a consistent hitmaker. It'll be tough for this new album to top his last one, but the new one still sounds quite good based off the previews. It definitely seems more radio-friendly but the quality still seems to be there as well.

I found a site where I could stream the whole song - radio edit version. The comments posted there are expressing approval of the song.

For anyone having trouble with the link, try chrome. That's the only browser that would load the stream. I also had to restart the stream about 3 times for the buffering to fix.

Programmers have been here. I'm guessing they're giving them a break to catch-up back home.

The Official lyrics video is now up on YouTube. (Side note: I was able to play the stream fine on FireFox after googling a fix. Apparently the player that is needed gets turned off when FF updates.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=11m0pp3202c

I can definitely tell David Cook had a hand in writing this. I wish it was better lyrically, but still awesome! Rooting for another top 10!

I'm just getting acquainted with David Nail and am loving the tone of his voice. This is a simple song and message but delivered with such longing. I love the vocal delivery combined with the guitar work. Nice groove too. I'm very intrigued by this artist! I like his look too. It's a little edgy but ironically he's more country than some of the other typical ball cap/cowboy hat guys. Very nice.

Like most of you I'm a Huge David Nail fan, saw him live last night and listened to the new cd more than a dozen times in the last 24 hours. Like most of you I hope this song performs well. With more listens this song has won me over not only as a fan but as a PD. Hoping the momentum of whatever she's got helps get this some strong station adds. Not sure it gets any higher than 20 - 15 range chart wise. They're are some very strong "radio" songs on the cd. Counting Cars to me should have been the 2nd single.
And sorry Matty005, there is no Sound of a million dreams on this cd or anything that sounds like it.

Love David Nail's voice and think he is very underrated. He deserves to sell much better than he does -hoping he can break through.
This song isn't my favorite from him (Red light will still hold that place) but it will be a grower I think.

Not the same type of song, but for pure song strength I think "The Secret" will be the Sound of a Million Dreams on this album.

How are people hearing this already? The album or the song? David has sold some early copies at some of his shows, and the lyric video for the song is up on YouTube; jkwaej posted it a couple posts up.

I just listened through the album and it's not quite "The Sound Of A Million Dreams" but it does have some great songs. I really like "The Secret", "Brand New Day", "Counting Cars" and "Burning Bed" upon first listen. I think this is another contender for outstanding non-bro album but i need a few more listens to really get a feel of it.

I'd love to get ahold of this album...the iTunes previews just aren't cutting it for me haha. Actually those four songs you mentioned have been my favorites of the previews so far. Tuesday can't come fast enough!
