Similar to "Dark Horse," there's no over-signing (+). Unlike "California Gurls," tequila isn't a pre-requisite for a fulfilling listen (+). This one goes down like a smooth chocolate malt. Subtlely suits her, and I think she is beginning to learn that. I suspect it will do well.

Hahaha this is some comical stuff right here...would fit perfectly inside some awful Disney movie.
You follow-up a #1 "Dark Horse" with THIS?? Katy WTF??
Though I DO want know for a FACT if she wants to bring out the BIG BALLOONS or the big bottles?? Couple of you tube lyric posts are confused & I REALLY HOPE it's (her) ummm the Balloons.
What's the real lyric

I really love this song and it will do very well. A very low burn rate for me, actually it's a back to Katyland grower.

My third favorite from PRISM after Legendary Lovers and Dark Horse. I'm surprised by the number of people predicting failure on this one, its basically radio candy.

She's singing about her tits and satisfying her man. I'm pretty sure most people would call that edgy. It's not on the level of Partition, but compared to most other songs she's released besides IKAG, I'd say this was pretty edgy.

I think you mean "risqué," and it isn't really that, either, but it's..closer.

Good single choice. Last #1 from PRISM.

I think it's the right amount of risqué, so it appeals to an older audience but isn't grating to casual listeners. I can't wait to see the chart run for this. So surprised to see people questioning the power of Katy Patra!?

This is a terrible choice, it is so dated, not catchy in the slightest, im rooting for katy but this doesn't scream hit single to me. Ive said it before but if they actually are using this as single 4 (Source???) then it is a big mistake, i see it pulling a 22 by taylor swift.

Sorry, I had not paid attention to the lyrics. I thought you were talking about the sound of the song.

Not catchy? lol. The whole thing is catchy. Don't know what you people are smoking, but you got ripped off.
This is the next logical choice. Perfect return-to-form Katy single after the off-the-wall Dark Horse. LL just wouldn't work in this scenario as they are too similar. TIHWD is too geared towards summer weather, so I feel it may be next before LL.
Screams smash to me. It's right up there with Teenage Dream and Last Friday Night for me. Definitely in my Top 5.

Oh god no. This will do worse than "Unconditionally." It's just so bland and probably my least favorite track on the album tbh. That will be interesting if this albums has #1, followed by a non-top-10 hit, followed by a #1, followed by a non-top-10 hit etc. on the Hot 100 lol But I think this will do better than "Unconditionally". It's perfect for Spring.

'Dark Horae' was the last smash hit on the album. Let's just move on to album #4.

I'm not a Huge Katy fan but I do own "Prism" and Teenage Dream". I think "Birthday" is a great single. I really like it. Though I hate the "Happy Birthday" at the end of the song.

I really think that she should be putting out Walking On Air, I never got the hype about this song, really bland in my opinion. I feel Walking On Air is much catchier.

This is my least favorite single she's put out since Last Friday Night, but it sounds like an obvious hit. It has a similar vibe to her last album (and much more so than the first 3 singles), but it's somewhat lined up with the retro love that's going on with the slight disco vibe that's going on. If this had utilized a more steely drum production like LFN, I'd say it was too dated, but they've smartly avoided that.
I think this'll make top 3 on the Hot 100 and CHR, with a chance of hitting #1 on the latter.

Stop the bitching, you drama queens. This has all the elements of a soon-to-be classic Katy single. It's funny, it's sexy, it's laid back, it's relatable, it's easy to sing along, it's catchy. And yet, it has that disco-ish retro vibe that makes it stand out from her singles catalogue. There's no way this is going to flop.
Will this be a #1? Maybe. Maybe not. But it sure as hell is a Top 3 record.
Is this the right choice as a fourth single? ABSOLUTELY. Like it or not, the song is a hit.
Are there better choices left on the album? Maybe there are, but if all those songs are really hits waiting to happen, does it really matter the order they release them?
Enjoy the ride people.

I like the song, but I'm indifferent to it as a single. As long as "Walking on Air" and "Legendary Lovers" are released, I don't really care. I'm sure Katy will get another single, maybe even two, regardless of the performance of this song.

The people I play it around end up purchasing the song and ask me to play it whenever we're on our way out to a club. Obv. it's a smash~

Obviously it's a hit but it's just such a safe single and it's not gonna be a memorable song you remember from her catalogue in 10 years.

This is by far my favorite song on the album, but I get why people have the reservations about it. It's not the sure-fire hit that Dark Horse was, but with Katy's name behind it and hopefully some good promo it'll be awesome.

I like this. It's catchy and all, but I wanted "Walking On Air" to be released.
