I just saw the headline but was anyone expecting that, when he has an album to promote, the man would want to talk about something that happened...I dunno...over 10 years ago?

He's probably still having sex with underage girls to this day, though. The interviewer was professional. Kells was just defensive, and taken aback because he didn't expect to be called on his shit. He released a sexually charged album, so why wouldn't the line of questions parallel his sex life with his music?

Asking about his sex life is one thing....but going back to a 10 year old scandal that he has never commented on in any interview is different. She couldn't possibly think he was going to delve into that. It was clear she had an agenda from jump, the interview started off shady before that line of questioning happened. I think he handled it well? I mean, from the headline I was expecting an outburst. He answered her question, she just didn't like his answer and kept on with it to get a rise out of him. I understand his frustration.

He HAS done interviews about his sex scandal though. And saying "it was 10 years ago" is minimizing it. He's had several court settlements with families of girls he's sexually violated throughout his career. Once a pedophile, always a pedophile. He came in the game with VIBE talking about "little cute Aaliyah's got it." She was like 12 or 13 at the time. He had her singing about getting oral sex as a teenager. He has a sex tape with a teen. He married a teen. Hell, even on the cover of Black Panties, he has a girl that looks like a teen sitting on his lap. He calls himself the "Pied Piper," someone who used his "magical instrument" to lure children away from their families. HE was molested. It's not a topic that he will ever escape. And he blatantly throws it in the public's face. You don't get a pass for being a criminal just because time has passed since your last "known" crime was discussed. The interviewer initially delicately approached the topic, and he immediately turned up. Then when he kept queening out was when she turned up the heat, and he ran out of the interview. It's about time he stopped getting passes for being a fucking creep.

If he didn't have the questions pre-screened, then he should've known what he was potentially walking into.

Even if the interviewer was just trying to stir up controversy or get under his skin, R. Kelly making ludicrously sexually explicit music whilst being a known and repeated sex offender has been the elephant in the room for too long.
Her initial question, "do you have a healthy relationship with sex," was leading but it was hardly offensive. He started freaking out and acting like an incoherent crazy person over the possibility of being held accountable for his past in an interview.

He calls himself the "Pied Piper," someone who used his "magical instrument" to lure children away from their families. This was always to me. This speaks louder than any honest interview could about how he's, in fact, proud of his past.

Do child molesters with deviant fetishes and anger management issues sell more records?

Ha, for the sake of publicity I wouldn't put anything past record label execs/PR people. R. Kelly album's came out, like, last week and bombed. Keep in mind that, even when he didn't have big sales out of the gate, he used to be able to debut with a solid # of copies at least. This time no one took notice.
As for the nature of the stunt, like I said, I still see this whole thing cynically. Beyoncé conveniently sparked divorce rumors at the beginning of her joint tour with Jay-Z; Leona Lewis happened to get punched around the time her record came out; Chris Brown threw a fit and then smashed a window with a chair at the ABC studios the day his album came out; Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani announced that they were dating just as he released his GH album and she her latest single, "I Used To Love You"; and what about those artists (rappers most of the time) who go on twitter rants, whining how the world has turned against them and threaten of retirement... just when they release their records. The examples are endless and bad press is still press.

Her tone and attitude made it seem like she was trying to get a rise out of him. Exactly. She has a clear agenda and it was totally not necessary.

This speaks louder than any honest interview could about how he's, in fact, proud of his past. Eh... he's functionally illiterate and doesn't know the real story behind the "Pied Piper." He was asked about the title back in 2003 and gave a long response. I saw it on Twitter.

That was disrespectful and unnecessary. I don't see how he freaked out. He retaliated by asking her if she drinks and funny enough, SHE got offended lol. I don't get why some of you are acting like he was never asked about his allegations before. He has done several interviews in the past about it and was asked by NY magazine if he liked underage girls and he had no problem answering that question. Just admit this interviewer was a rookie and had an agenda to make him uncomfortable. I expected a worse reaction but he surprisingly remained calm throughout.

You don't get a pass for being a criminal just because time has passed since your last "known" crime was discussed. The interviewer initially delicately approached the topic, and he immediately turned up. Then when he kept queening out was when she turned up the heat, and he ran out of the interview. He was exonerated by a jury of his peers nearly 8 years ago. He was never convicted. So where's the pass? He has the right to live his life. and I don't see what his childhood trauma has to do with his allegations. Pretty stupid on your part. Anyway, the interviewer did not delicately approach the topic at all. I don't see anything "delicate" about going from asking him about his video message to the black community to reading a blatantly disrespectful tweet from a troll then asking about his sex life. It was awkward and clearly all about getting a reaction. You can claim he was being "called out." But I'm not seeing it. Just the media's attempt at deviating the public's attention.

He's probably still having sex with underage girls to this day, though. The interviewer was professional. Kells was just defensive, and taken aback because he didn't expect to be called on his s**t. He released a sexually charged album, so why wouldn't the line of questions parallel his sex life with his music? Are you okay? Technically there's no proof he ever engaged in intercourse with an underage female. Therefore your point is kind of moot. There was nothing professional about the interviewer hence why HuffPost released that follow up article to smear R. Kelly's image and make him look like the bad guy in that interview... as if those allegations weren't on the internet for years. He was hardly defensive and I'm sure you would be taken aback if someone read an offensive tweet to you with a curse word at that. No need to be biased. Just imagine if it where another celeb. Say John Legend. If an interviewer read a rude tweet to him how would he react? then to question whether his sex life is "healthy"? Just rude. And continue to ask questions along that subject? Yea... No wonder he walked off. She made it seem like it was unnatural that there's sexual music out there. Just wacky all around.

Because TECHNICALLY there couldn't be more proof he had sex with at least two underage girls, one of them he video taped himself urinating on top of and having sex with. The other one, he married.

The jury and FBI says otherwise clearly. You have any proof that top investigators couldn't prove then perhaps you should've gave it to the courts when you had the chance. The marriage was never proven either.

Considering all 15 of your posts are in R. Kelly topics, I'm gonna assume you're part of the street team, or someone hoping to someday get a golden shower from the R&B king, so I will let you live in your land of standom and delusion. Happy Holidays! May the new year bring you a new lover twice your age with an ever-full bladder!!
