It's spin count is high enough on Pop where as long as it continues to get increases it will eventually return to the top 10 for a few more weeks as the big summer songs bleed spins going into the Fall.
Hot AC needs to catch up now!

It's really amazing how radio treats some songs. This is more successful than Boom Clap, but that song is going to be number one and this only scrapped a week in the top 10.
If it's able to hold steady this will rebound to top 10, but not with this updates

This hasn't officially cracked the top 10 for BDS' weekly chart. It held at 11* on Billboard's Pop Songs chart, with 8,417 spins (+895), and an audience of 48.694 million. And with Swift's single jumping it for the next chart, it will probably be pushed to 12.
At least it cracked top 10 on the Hot 100, and has spent multiple weeks there.

I think some of you are overreacting a little. It may have gotten a -49 today, but it had a +110 yesterday. Songs have fluxuating updates like that all the time. Some of you are acting like the song just died. It'll be fine, and if this actually is the end (which I highly doubt), it's not like this flopped or anything. Top 10 is fantastic. Remember when it looked like it was peaking outside the Top 40? It's really come a long way since then. Yes, this is a fantastic song and I would love for it to be a huge radio hit, especially considering its sales, but I can definitely see why it might be polarizing to some listeners, and it's certainly blown my initial expectations out of the water.

Yah, this is likely to miss the BDS/Billboard top 10. But, still a decent showing for her.

Not all the time though. Decreasing bullets are fine and common but losing spins are often sign of trouble. Songs have recovered, yes, especially when they slow down near the top 10, but a -50 decrease in daily spins is troubling. And no, I'm not satisfied at this point. At the beginning surely it was a risk, but streams and sales proofed people liked this song. It was not a Birthday or Neon Lights situation. The fact that not only radio but also hot AC is so slow on this one is super frustrating. It's the same Sia that sang Wild One and Titanium! This should've naturally reached top 5 in both formats. Not this nonsense of slow updates

^She wasn't the lead act on those, and, as we know, success in featured roles does not mean that same act will score big lead success on radio.
"Chandeleir" has reached top 15 on Hot 100 Airplay, which is a decent showing for her first bonafide solo hit in the USA.

No, she wasn't the only act, but she was the only singer in Titanium, she is as much responsible of that success as Guetta, and i think people identified her in that song as much as they identified Sam Smith in Latch. I think the song is bound to be an underachiver in pop, like Say Something or Let her go. We can compare with Rather be, even after payola, Rather be is a smaller hit that this, but it's going to peak higher. And we have something similar with Boom Clap wich is going to be number one this weekend (and because AATB and SIO are climbing really fast, because if it wasn't that case it could end being number one more weeks than way bigger hits like Rude, Stay with me or Am i wrong)

Sam Smith is a newbie, though, whereas Sia Kate Isobelle Furler- while she may seem like a relative newbie, given her limited chart success- has been recording since 1997.

Yes, but before that collaborations she was basically known for written the song of one of the best finals of a show ever
In terms of airplay charts in the USA she is exactly at the same point of Sam Smith. Two top 10 collaborations, and one solo top 10 hit.
Her voice (and enunciation) is very characteristic, so there's no way people don't know Chandelier's singer is the same that sung Titanium
She is known for some hits written for other singers too.
Anyway, having previous hits doesn't matter if radio refuse to play your song, like what happened with Human. There are songs that barely scrached the top 100 on itunes that had higher peaks that Human (wich was top 10 on itunes for a while)

True- but, even though we'd like to see radio get behind "Chandelier" even more, it's not like radio is ignoring it. As said, top 15 airplay is solid. Now, if its peaks on sales and streaming were No. 1, and this was its radio showing, that would be more of a disappointment. But, its peaks on sales and streaming are Nos. 9 and 5, respectively. So, its current airplay peak of 14 isn't that far off of its sales peak.

Not this nonsense of slow updates Yes many people like the song, but there's many who don't as well. I've had at least two friends change the station on this song because they found it annoying. I'm not saying that they represent the rest of America, but I'm just saying that even though many like it, there's still some that don't. It's callout scores are showing middle of the pack negative but Top 10 favorites. It's polarizing to some, but its fans truly do love it. Also, music downloaders and radio listeners are not the same demographic. The type of song that fits a radio playlist well isn't always the type of song that people want to actually buy and vice versa. "Chandelier" is a very different and unique song that doesn't really fit it with other songs charting, so doing this well is fantastic. And it's not like its absolutely smashing in sales or streaming either. It's #10 on iTunes, which is its pop peak so far, and the only bulleted song above it on radio that is below it on iTunes is "Rather Be", which is just one position lower at #11. It's not like this is a huge crime or anything. tl;dr "Chandelier" has had a great performance regardless of what happens from here.

I feel like Chandelier is one of the biggest hits of the year. At the very least, it's one of the most memorable and will probably have more of a long term impact than Rude or Am I Wrong, and definitely more than slightly bigger hits like Birthday or that last JT hit.
