If those were shipments PRISM would be higher imo, but I don't think ARTPOP sold that much, so nevermind.

I know a lot of people dumped on her for acting a stunt queen at SXSW, but that's the most ambitious thing she's done since her Fame Monster days. There was artistic vision there, believably so, regardless of how troubled she looked for it. The backlash baffles me, but different strokes I suppose.
About 'Brooklyn Nights': she gave us an album with s**t like 'Dope' and 'Fashion!', but tried to keep that one to herself. Think about that.
All I ask of Part 2, Electric Booglaoo-- if that's even happening-- is that the collaboration with Goddess Lohan actually happens. Oprah did not put in work for that to go unheard.

Yeah I am confused by those numbers because if they are just shipments Prism should be higher but there is no way Gaga has somehow sold over 2 million. The last number I saw was 1.7 and that was somewhat recent and it is not selling anywhere anymore.

What are the worldwide numbers (and updated domestic numbers, for that matter) for The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way?

Born This Way-6 million shipments possibly hitting 8-9 million with 2.3ish sold in the US Fame is harder to say because different countries dealt with the re-release differently. Some places only sold the bundled package and some sold the EP separately. I know in the US the bundle sold over 4 million and the EP sold 1.5+ I have seen numbers of between 15-16 million for all of them bundled worldwide. She sold a shitload of cds in a short time period-makes Artpop's 2 millionish kind of puny looking.

I watched the entire interview in Austin over the weekend. That was a great interview. Interesting to hear her say that the label was still asking her to look beautiful and stay fit during the BTW era and she got pissed that after all she had proved for herself she was still asked that. Also interesting that she's all into this creative rebellion mode, similar to what Madonna is talking about with her art project. I wish she had hinted more about the next steps. She could tone down a bit her speech in terms of how 'indie' she considers herself. But I think she's genuinely made these steps in her career to progressively gain more control and freedom in her career, and her desire to try to change pop culture. She needs to realize that she still needs some good advice though. Everyone needs that

For example..? I've watched it entirely twice and I don't recall her ever calling herself "indie." It is so bizarre how Gaga's words get so jumbled. This whole thread was based off of a miscommunication of her confirming it was not happening. Weird.

This whole thread was based off of a miscommunication of her confirming it was not happening. Weird. The implication is that she is not a mainstream artist. Doesn't make her "indie", but at the same time I get what they're saying. Anyway, the thread is based on the tweet that something was kicking off this Sunday. Maybe. But the thread wasn't made because she said she wasn't releasing a part two.

Yeah she didn't say indie -that's why I used ' ' to indicate that it was my interpretation to what she said (and I said she should just tone down a bit so it's not a biggie to me either). What I'm referring to is when she talked about how she would prefer continuing carrying her keyboard from her apartment and playing clubs again than being dictated what to do by the label and then making the argument that ArtPop was all about giving the power back to the artist so that all independent artists on the Internet continue doing what they love as she was doing, and that labels should only hire those who play and write songs like those who post their videos in YouTube and that's why she made this album. I'm paraphrasing what I understood from what she said. I get that she's made the effort of being more independent with ArtPop but I just think there's a slight stretch when linking ArtPop with efforts of a singer songwriter trying to be popular in YouTube. I like the other parts of her speech that touched upon authenticity and how she'd quit pop music if she couldn't express herself. But I thought that was sort of enough. Adding the whole "I did this to help YOU so that YOU can have a record deal being independent" felt a bit too much IMO.

Can't wait to see the video(s)! Is it confirmed that what she filmed a week ago is not connected to the video she filmed in that castle or whatever that was?

Oh so that is Kyle Richards! I just thought it was an unfortunate resemblance.

I believe from left to right in the photo it is Yolanda Foster (partial), some brunette - could be Carlton(?), then Lisa Vanderpump, and lastly Kyle Richards.

In that first picture, I spy a statue of Venus. Plus an oyster shell bed.

Venus? Wasn't that video already filmed eons ago? Hope it's another song (GUY or Gypsy) and later Venus can be released while she's on tour :) I think the album is still 'milkable'. Look at JT's and Demi's third singles being hits despite lackluster 2nd singles and a good number of weeks between end of 2nd single's life and release of 3rd

There was that fanfiction BS tumblr post about the video, but I don't remember anything concrete being said about it. I wouldn't be surprised, since the switch to DWUW was pretty late in the game.

So we can definitely narrow it down to Venus, G.U.Y, MANiCURE, Donatella, Gypsy and/or a new song? And/or a combo? Lol
That video leaked a while ago with audio of GUY and Venus so I'm still crossing my fingers it's a multi-song music video. I'd LOVE a 15-minute epic of 3-4 songs.

Hopefully if it's multiple songs it can be split up for Youtube. Otherwise you can say goodbye to a ton of views.

Pretty sure the 'Venus' 'G.U.Y.' combo thing is legit, since I could see elements of both being incorporated. Watch her push both to pop simultaneously, just to see what happens. Wonder how the full video would count for streaming, though?
This better be the follow up to 'Telephone'.

Watch it be a trilogy video with a mashup mix for radio. The Gaga mega mix!

I'm so excited for you to see the new video! 3.5 days! Can anyone guess the #NextARTPOPSingle
I was at Target today. The album is on sale for $11.99 until April 12.

Watch it be Fashion Or Donatella that is my guess if you look at all the pics.

Yeah I am pretty sure Gaga herself admitted it had been shot too? Because I remember a tweet where she said that we shouldn't worry because we would be getting the Venus video too (in addition to DWUW's release). I thought she might do it as a promo video before the cd release. How naive I was thinking we would get EXTRA videos for this era
