This was one of the most popular songs on that channel, so the spin count for this song took a hit in today's update. A lot of the buzzy songs in the 30-45 range took a similar hit, since they were the bread and butter for that station.

It had a nice audience gain...surely it'll recover from the spins loss by next week. :)

Did she have any hot 100 hit? I think How do we was a top 100 hit but i'm not sure (RIP miss the top 100). This could hit the hot 100 very soon now the song is doing better on itunes.
It's curious that now that a lot of UK hits are doing well in the USA she seems unabel to score big (maybe she should promote a little more her songs). Anyway this is catchy, and i think it will be her biggest hit in the USA at least on pop radio

Officially Top 25 at Mediabase following the removal of Not a Bad Thing and Classic.
"Black Widow" also went to #23, so Ora now has two top 25 pop songs.

This is kinda boring. I heard it on the radio yesterday and it sounded really weak compared to most of the other stuff playing.

I read an interview with her in an spanish paper and frankly she seems way more interested in her career as it girl and fashion icon than her music career. She should be careful with that type of interviews because it's really difficult to put interest in someone's career when the singer seems not that interest.
If she doesn't want to promote her singles her career in the USA is just a waste of time, whe can't complain about lack of airplay, I will never let you down is selling almost the same that Waves with 5 times more aiplay (only on pop)

Update to my previous thoughts:
I still think that this is very weak as a song, but I really like the Instrumental. Maybe one of my favorites from Calvin. It makes me think of 1965 meets 1985 with the combo of the guitar and keyboards. I really wish that he had saved this until he had written (I believe he's the only writer on this) a better song to go with it. I don't have an issue with Rita, her singing on this is fine, it's just the song itself is not strong at all.

So what do we need to do to get this higher on iTunes? Make the next big viral sensation? iPayola? Do fans still do those download days or download weeks? We need something!

So what do we need to do to get this higher on iTunes? Make the next big viral sensation? iPayola? Do fans still do those download days or download weeks? We need something! Maybe if Rita moves her ass and starts to promote the song could be a good start. If she doesn't have time to tv shows or going to radio stations she could start singing in red carpets and fashion shows. USA is not UK (or any european country), wich a single tv show or a big radio station giving your song airplay you can reach a wide audience. USA market is as big as the country, and you need to work hard to promote your work, specially if you are not a big name (and in the USA she is not). Her three top 40 hits got airplay, so radio is doing its work, the problem were the sales, so there's basically two explanations or people didn't like her songs, or her (or her label) needs to work harder to reach an audience

I agree Jj, some of these British pop stars are failing because they are not doing it good enough. Go all out, plant seeds, don't just do a few little things and expect much.

I remember when Ed Sheran was to release + that he played his music in a lot of universities to only make himself a name and let people know him and his music (and by then the album was big in the UK).
Sometimes you don't need to do that much, Sam Smith only needed a twitter from Taylor Swift and a performance on a tv show to create enough buzz and sales, but most of the time a singer needs to work hard, do a lot of radio interviews, promote yourself in social media (without putting your foot in your mouth) and then if you are lucky do some tv shows. And if you are foreigner you just need to double your efforts.
If you are not an internet celebrity or doing openning acts for One Direction, you need to do a lot more than Rita is doing. She is on the press, but never related to her music. I don't undertand it, she will be easy to promote, she is a fashion icon right now, she is hot, she has her number ones in UK (it always look good when you promote your single with the number one in UK on it) and her music is catchy. Given the fact that radio is not ignoring her, it should be easy at least to make your songs chart on the hot 100

Good points guys. I do believe this will be her first top 20 single as a lead on pop radio, correct? :)

Yes, you are right, How we do peaked at 21 and RIP peaked at 26.
I think How we do is her only hot 100 hit. I will never let you down was 1 at the bubbling under chart so it only needs a little push to go there
