Confirmed guest judge for Season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Looks like her hair guy cancelled on her before filming, but whatever.

The Fallon Performance was solid!!! The vocals were great, she hit them big notes, the breath could use a bit of work but it was overall good, and the diction could use some work too, but that wasn't too much of an issue imo!

It's a real shame she's not taken serious because she's a former Nick star. Was she nominated for anything (relevant) at this year's Grammy? I don't use the Grammys and stop using years ago. In order for her to be taken serious, she's going to have to show a maturer side soon. There's no way Problem (and her album) should be getting stubbed the way it has been.

She's a pop star. Pop stars are rarely, if ever, meant to be taken too seriously. She's only on her second album post-Nickelodeon and still has a young fanbase, so of course she's going to get marketed to a younger audience.
Her material is just fine.

I feel the fact that she got nominated for a Grammy period at this stage in her career with this material is a great achievement itself.

Problem made an appearance on the playlist I gave to a house party tonight (well, essentially, it was just my NYE playlist recycled but whatever). This girl at the party (who is a professional singer) was like "Oh, that White girl from Australia and this shrill girl who only uses her upper register." I defended Ariana by saying if she were in the room at that moment, she would definitely prove she has talent. That said, her live performances (outside of Tattooed Heart) are not enough to silence haters. She needs to come really hard with her 3rd album but I have a feeling she will.

Eek. I'm sorry but Ariana's voice was not up to par at all during her performance. The last minute was okay, but she doesn't have a lot of power and she was hard to hear.

She has a good voice but it's lacking in something. Is it range maybe??

She has a good voice but it's lacking in something. Is it range maybe?? No. Definitely not range. I would say clarity/power. I think she needs more work with a vocal coach because she's shown she can be amazing, she just isn't always the most consistent. I usually enjoy her performances though.

Her performance at the Grammys reminded me of her 2013 AMA performance. Not that bad of a performance just Ariana showing off her great vocals much like her 2013 AMA performance.

I actually thought her performance was fine. I'm obviously no vocal expert though. I just thought the song overall was boring.

I don't know about the vocals, but the performance was pretty boring.

The first thing I thought of when they announced this as Ariana Grande like you've never seen her before was. Yes I did at the AMA's. That was her "I Can Sing" performance. She's already marketed as the little girl who can sing so I don't think there was a need for her to do that ballad. She should have just sang "One Last Time" the same way as she did on Fallon. I actually think she sounded better there anyways.

DEATH at that Twitter comment.
Anyway I never should have read the comments here prior to watching her Grammy performance. I thought it was SOLID. She served those vocals on a bland ass song and I think she made a positive impression with the Grammy voters in particular.

That response was PERFECT. Her performance was OK. At first she was REALLY off but I think she got into it towards the end. Homegirl was a bundle of nerves even on the Red Carpet. She must have seen the devil in a piece of glass or something.

Her hometown show here in South Florida (Miami, March 28th) only has 39 seats available. Many of her shows have 90% of their tickets sold. SLAY!
