I'm just happy I got to see the five of them LIVE together. If this is a long-term split, one of them may die before another tour would happen together. Exactly. You’d think they could get it together. I’ve seen articles referencing a Farewell Tour, but hadn’t seen any dates. MAYBE it was a “stiff penalties will be charged if we cancel now, so let’s hire someone else” situation, but it seems they could have compromised a little more.

Sigh. They'd be smart to mitigate the absence of Lindsey by playing some Tom Petty songs with Campbell on this tour. Curious to see the setlist once the tour starts.

Statement from Mike Campbell on joining Fleetwood Mac:
"Though I was sad to hear Lindsey Buckingham is no longer with Fleetwood Mac, I am honored and excited to join the band. Lindsey is one of my favorite musical artists. A true genius at songwriting and guitar playing. I intend to honor his songs while at the same time bring my musicality to the band. After one rehearsal I can tell it’s going to be an amazing collaboration. I am also very happy to have an opportunity to play with Neil Finn, who I greatly admire. Fleetwood Mac not only has one of the greatest rhythm sections in rock history, it also has two of the finest voices and songwriters in Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie. I am looking forward to the tour with great anticipation."

It's funny to me that both times Lindsey left the group, he was replaced by two people.

Bummed as fck! I was really looking forward to that album with the classic lineup. Hated when Stevie messed it up, tbh. Felt like that was the best opportunity to do it. The Lindsay and Christine collabo was ok but felt like it had the seeds of a good FM album had SN been there. Lindsay is far too strong of a member to not have it around IMO. Yes he makes things go left field, but he also adds a lot of personality to everything they do. I’m just SUPER happy that I spend my money to see the lineup that I love and very close to the stage for the first time -after seeing the lineup without CMV. Hope they reunite again!!!

Based on the interview, it sounds like Lindsey wasn't willing to make any compromises in terms of the upcoming tour, so they gave him the boot. Also the Stevie shade... To be honest, I could give a fuck about Neil Finn joining the band, but I hope Mike and Stevie team up again on some new material.

Well, according to them. I’m not really expecting a balanced explanation from them.

Lindsey can go f**k himself. And Stevie can go doubly f**k herself. She has the nerve to sit there and talk about the band being a team when they sat around for almost two years wanting to record an album and she held-out for her solo tours.
I'm here for the classic five and that's it. Thank goodness they have a timeless catalog I can always go back to. Because at this point, they're pretty much worthless.

Stevie looked very zonked out in that interview. She was giving me flashbacks to the klonopin years.
They all just seem tired (understandable given their ages). I saw them almost 10 years ago now, and they seemed like a sedated version of themselves even then. I love them, but I have little desire to see them live now (already crossed it off the bucket list and seeing them with Lindsey was more important for me than seeing them with Christine).

Yeah, I saw the classic lineup a few years back and I’m satisfied. I want new music more than anything.

I agree. I saw them in their last tour when Christine returned, so not really excited about this tour. New music would be fine but my guess it's they are going to disappoint, especially with Lindsey gone. Luckly we have their 70s and 80s masterpieces to go back.

Danny Kirwan, who was with the band in the late 60's and early 70's, has died at 68. I'm not very familiar with the earlier version of the band, but Mick Fleetwood posted this on FB: DANNY KIRWANMAY 13, 1950 ~ JUNE 8, 2018 A TRIBUTE FROM MICK FLEETWOOD AND FLEETWOOD MAC Today was greeted by the sad news of the passing of Danny Kirwan in London, England. Danny was a huge force in our early years. His love for the Blues led him to being asked to join Fleetwood Mac in 1968, where he made his musical home for many years. Danny’s true legacy, in my mind, will forever live on in the music he wrote and played so beautifully as a part of the foundation of Fleetwood Mac, that has now endured for over fifty years. Thank you, Danny Kirwan. You will forever be missed! ~Mick Fleetwood and Fleetwood Mac ALBUMS FEATURING THE WORK OF DANNY KIRWAN: Then Play On 1969 Blues Jam at Chess 1969 Kiln House 1970 Future Games 1971 Bare Trees 1972

The iHeartRadio Music Festival, to be held September 21st & 22nd at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, has added Fleetwood Mac to a lineup that includes Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Imagine Dragons, Jason Aldean, Sam Smith, Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, Shawn Mendes, Rae Sremmurd and Logic, among many more. The two-day event will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
It will be Fleetwood Mac’s first time performing with new band members Mike Campbell and Neil Finn, and the group’s debut performance at the festival, which is geared at the broad audience listening to iHeartMedia’s over 800 radio stations. The announcement arrives ahead of a tour that kicks off in October. Member Lindsey Buckingham left the group in April. It was announced that former Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Campbell and Crowded House singer Finn would fill in for Buckingham.
The iHeartRadio festival has traditionally included a veteran act on its lineup. In previous years, Aerosmith, Queen + Adam Lambert and Billy Idol have held that slot. This year, Lynyrd Skynyrd will also be featured.
“It is an honor to be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival for our very first time,” said Stevie Nicks. “The beauty of an event like this is that it is a true representation of the power of radio. It’s an opportunity for artists across all genres to share one stage and what we all love most — music!”
The iHeartRadio Music Festival will be broadcast live across the iHeartMedia network to more than 150 markets and on the CW Network’s CWTV.com and The CW App. A two-night television special is scheduled for Oct. 7 and Oct. 8.
The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival is co-produced by John Sykes and Tom Poleman.

Lindsey's (can someone edit the spelling of his name in the title?) loss is felt. I have no desire to hear someone else singing his songs, or even playing for him.. but hey, if they can get people to pay for tickets to see this line-up then all the power to them.

RIAA.com:
FLEETWOOD MAC Title: FLEETWOOD MAC Certification Date: September 11, 2018 Label: RHINO Format: ALBUM 6xP, 7xP
FLEETWOOD MAC Title: THE VERY BEST OF FLEETWOOD MAC Certification Date: September 11, 2018 Label: RHINO Format: ALBUM 2xP, 3xP, 4xP - 2cd album
Why not their GH? It's eligible for 9xP. It's probably 10xP.

Omg I almost screamed when I read “Lindsey’s loss is felt”. I was like NO, not another sudden passing. Glad to know it was not about THAT kind of loss.
