She looks so emotionless and bored when she sings. And I feel like I'm missing something because "I Will Never Forget You" sounds nothing like anything country radio would play. "Talk About Love" is probably their best bet at a third single, but at this point I don't see her debut era yielding another Top 40 hit, so perhaps they should just hold off 'til her sophomore set.

I agree. "I Will Never Forget You" doesn't do anything for me...it sounds like an AC/HAC song. Of course, country radio hasn't exactly been playing much country music of late, but IWNFY doesn't sound like anything on country radio. Sometimes a unique-sounding song can stand out but IWNFY doesn't strike me as a hit, and it doesn't seem to be all that strong of a song, either. Lyrically and production-wise, I found it to be quite bland, definitely one of Josh Kear's weaker co-writes (and his songs are usually quite good). I too think that "Talk About Love" would be their only other option, but if "Young In America" couldn't go top 40, then I don't think TAL would either. There's simply not enough room on playlists right now for a new artist like Danielle (with no momentum, btw) to advance beyond light rotation. We're seeing the same thing happen with several other new-ish artists, some of which have had big hits recently--Kip Moore, Hunter Hayes, Gloriana, Dan + Shay, Love and Theft, Cassadee Pope, David Nail, etc. I still think that the Dan + Shay, Cassadee, and David songs can break through, and probably Hunter can too, but a lot of those other songs are just kinda 'stuck' and I'm not too surprised that it happened to Danielle too, even though I had high hopes for this one.

I feel like Danielle is too vanilla and bland to capture attention right now. Her voice is good enough, but there's nothing distinctive about her voice, delivery, personality, or song selection. If she just continues to be kinda "there" with her career, I can 't see her sticking around, especially considering how tough it is for females in Country right now.

I love the DBRequestLine that they are doing. Since YIA did not do anything (unfortunately, since I believe that is radio friendly enough) I think it is best that she expose herself to the audiences through other songs while waiting for the next single. Requesting songs and anticipating them at least gives the fans something.
I love the Say Something cover and excited to see what covers she'll do next. The 2nd video is already up for voting on her Pauwow.
