First radio single from the Truth Serum EP goes for AAA adds on April 14, per AllAccess. Presumably a pop push will follow.

I think the original is going here, and I saw an unlikely-correct source hint at the possibility of the Hippie Sabotage mix going to pop. Take that with a grain of salt, though.

I even looked it up 3 times to make sure there wasn't a thread already. My bad.

This is irritating and there's nothing good about it at all. Of course Alternative is going to make pop-lite songs like this into a hit while songs such as "Words as Weapons", "Drown", and "Painkiller" will inevitably struggle. (Yes, they are Active songs but their quality makes them Alternative-worthy IMO)
Really don't know what's going through the minds of current Alternative listeners to be honest.

I took a listen to this the other day and besides Cherub's awful song, this has to come in second for the worst songs I've heard this year so far. Unfortunately, we're going through this whole hipster scene in society and this is exactly the kind of the tune that they're going ga-ga for.

Excellent song (I feel like the hate is just pre-emptive against this becoming big) that sort of combines the vocal styling of Ellie Goulding with the lyrics of Kesha. I mean, yes, I could see how this might be dismissed as too poppy for alternative, but that same argument can apply to like half the songs in heavy rotation at alt. That's what the genre is right now.
And I'd also contend that her delivery of "ooh-ooh-ooh" has a decidedly Euro feel and thus is a departure from how this song would sound if created by an American.
Glad to see it rising, but a bit concerned that its spin gain isn't accelerating -- it gets new adds every week.
Also - does anyone know why the remix is doing so well on iTunes? It's...not good. Plus, where did it get the exposure to start selling so well?

Love that this is hot, but I don't like that this isn't accelerating, though I'm hoping it will revive itself.

You really have to wonder why the Triple A format even exists when Alternative plays everything that should be going there. Plus, I'm not feeling this.

This is a pop song that does not belong on this format, and yet it's going to go Top 20. Fan-f**king-tastic. And, as to what kanimal said, if what Alternative is is "the vocal styling of Ellie Goulding with the lyrics of Kesha", then God help us all. The lyrics are atrocious, by the way.

f**king yay! Lol, why? This is a pop song that does not belong on this format. I really don't care what format it smashes on, it's one of my favorite songs atm. I know this isn't exactly the "right" format for it to smash on, but I'll take it since I've been waiting since December to see this chart.

This seems to have replaced Cherub just as Doses & Mimosas started to drop off. At least only one of them has a positive bullet.
