Honestly, I'm just really happy that she's getting the positive reception she's getting from this. To see how far she's come and how much she's bounced back is truly a great thing to see.

She's about to take the #2 spot on iTunes, I think that would make the highest position she's ever been on iTunes!

I don't mind this! It's definitely not what I was was expecting, but it's alright. I can't understand about 90% of the words that she's saying though. I'm not sure how this will fare on pop radio. If just doesn't sound like anything they're playing, but not in a good way. They surely have a dance remix loaded and ready to go!

This is musical meth. Can't stop listening. The melody of the chorus just totally entrances me. And then when those synths come in at the end...<3<3<3
Would be a masterpiece if she sang it like she normally sings.

This is pretty amazing. It was exactly what I was craving from lana: something new and fresh yet still her own.
Maybe I'll be wrong, and I hope I am, but I don't see this becoming a radio hit. Rather, it seems Lana is doing what she always has done. She ignores the radio and reception, and just focuses on creating great music and an image she loves. People will follow as long as she does that, she doesn't need the approval of popular outlets.
If this isn't a hit, it would be interesting to see how this plays out. She has the potential to be the first superstar to have a lasting and impactful career without radio. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe anyone has done that before? Maybe on a smaller scale, but Lana is a full blown superstar among the younger generation.

Maybe on a smaller scale, but Lana is a full blown superstar among the younger generation. Sure artists have done that before, though it's definitely rare in the world of Pop. Usually rock is the big genre that has had plenty of superstars that never had much radio success. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and AC/DC are some of the best selling artists ever and they all had only a few radio hits, if any. I'm excluding recurrent radio hits, since those bands found a lot of life that way. For pop artists though I admittedly can't think of any with huge success that never had much radio support. But it's kind of a stretch calling Lana a pop artist anyways...

The best thing about this song is that it doesn't contain any of the overused cliches of her past work. No more "dancing in the pale moon light," "take your body downtown," "kiss me hard in the pouring rain," etc. She does reference Queen of Saigon and stylistically references God and Monsters in the chorus but...no matter, this sizzles. Dan Auerbach definitely hooked her up, production wise. As for her enunciation, music history is full of wonky enunciators. I think some of y'all are just too young. Only on Pulse do I see so many posts decided to not being able to understand a lyric.

I'm not really sure if I like it or not. I've listened to it three times now and it just isn't grabbing me like it is everyone else. It's not in the same playing field as "Video Games" and "Born to Die."

Just bought this. Love me some Lana. Is this getting any airplay, at least on Alternative, I only ask that since that is how it is labeled on Itunes.

I was silently anticipating this, but I'm not really impressed. I like a dozen of her songs far more than this, but maybe it will grow on me.

I... I don't get it. I've tried listening to it about 3 times now and can never get past the 2nd chorus. The verses are great but the chorus just kills everything for me. However, it's a pretty impressive progression of her sound, and I would like this to do well for the sake of the rest of the project.

Haven't been this hype on a lead single in a long, long time. I've only ever given her passive attention before now, but this is just... really good.
I can't take it off replay.
