I love how they've quietly started promo for this without a release date. It's probably just gonna appear sometime in the next 2 weeks or something. I hope this is something more pop-friendly without being EDM-influenced. What are the chances of that? It'd probably sound something like that. I feel that that could have been a hit in that form if she had had previous radio success.

I expected the imagery to be more ultraviolet than violence, but I'm really liking it. I really hope this comes out before May. I want this to be on my vacation playlist.

Where was this originally posted? I'm on her website and see a similar design, but no first listen text (it's the "down on the west coast..." lyric). There's no date on that and 3:00 PST isn't 5:00 EST (and if we're being technical, it'd be PDT and EDT right now anyway). ETA: Artwork, via her Twitter:

You can hate her all you want, but her aesthetic is one of the most distinct in the industry right now and it fucking works. She-- or her team, I really don't care-- really knows how to market her brand.

Can these celebs do like Beyonce and just drop shit? I mean, damn. You don't need a release date when you have 30+ Million followers. Just drop that shit and let it spread with word of mouth.

omfggggggg!! It looks like the May 1st date she gave to fans a few months ago might actually be true! I can't wait any longer!

I'm really hoping the May 1st thing is legit. I also need this like now. Perfect cover. :)

11:00am GMT is 6:00am EST, and I don't see that on the website, either.. What's going on.

11:00am GMT is 6:00am EST, and I don't see that on the website, either.. What's going on. It was fake*. There was nothing official from Lana herself (which she likely would've tweeted about it) and it was never actually on the website. *may have been put into circulation by her team to build hype up for the actual release/keep people's undivided attention.

I have a feeling this will be a huge song in the summer.

Love this. The melodic structure of the song is very unique. Doubt radio's gonna be quick to embrace it, if at all.

Loving this. It progresses and beefs up her sound, but it stays true to her style. I find it interesting that the tempo slows for the chorus and picks up for the verses when usually it's the other way around.
Don't see this being a big radio hit or anything like that, but it's not like she needs it.

I think I like it. Wish I'd understand what she's singing, it's like she was taking vocal lessons from Sia.

Significantly catchier on the second listen. Love those synths at the end. So 90's Compton.
Such an attractive video too. Simple as it is, it doesn't get boring and in fact it may as well serve as a tourism ad. I'm ready to book my next flight to the OC now.

I do love this, but what keeps me from saying this is fantastic is her vocals during the chorus. I can't understand portions of the chorus at all.

Love those synths at the end. So 90's Compton. Yes! That's some prime G-funk influence right there!

This is good! Most likely won't be played on radio (unless there's a dance remix hah) but as others have said, she won't need it. She's so cool!
