It is officially the new single as reported above. Add Date is Monday. Pretty sure this made it official last week... Yep and NOW the label corrected that the song WAS written by Jaren Johnston, Tom Douglas AND Jeffrey Steele after omitting Steele's name last week from the official release.

The ad tonight in Aircheck says "Most added song." I think Big Machine made an error or something cause this was no where close to being the most added song. It may be next week, but wasn't today.

It's New & Active this week. I think it'll have a big debut (possibly in the top 40) next week, similar to what Blake Shelton did this week.

Yeah, this was a late-week release so it wasn't going to get a lot of adds today. This is the week that we'll see this one take off. I could see a debut in the 40's as well, possibly top 40.

I am really enjoying this song. It is definitely among the most well-written songs to have graced country radio this year (and in the last several years).
Tim has had some real clunkers recently (with "Lookin' For That Girl" leading the pack, but also "Southern Girl" and "Truck Yeah"), but he's also had some really solid singles. This one is a definite A+ from me and yet I don't know if I can put it above "Highway Don't Care", "Better Than I Used To Be", "Felt Good On My Lips", or "Me And Tennessee". Those 4 singles are all from 2010 and beyond and are easily my favorite Tim singles since 2004 or 2005.
After "My Old Friend", Tim seemed to lose his way to me...his albums weren't bad, but I didn't find them as good as his previous albums, and it didn't help that the few really good songs remained as album tracks--simply put, Curb was releasing bad singles, and I'm not surprised that Tim's peak was in 2004. I did come to like "When The Stars Go Blue" (even though lyrically, I'm not sure what it's about) and "My Little Girl" was definitely great, but nearly all of the Let It Go and Southern Voice singles did nothing for me. Some of them I flat-out disliked.
Emotional Traffic was a bit better and Two Lanes Of Freedom even better yet (which is why it was so frustrating that the album's only two bad songs--"Truck Yeah" and "Southern Girl"--became 2 of the 4 singles). And now if I ignore "Lookin' For That Girl"--thankfully it stalled at #15--we have a really great song from Tim here. I am hopeful that this one will become a big ol' #1 hit. It's definitely a bit of a throwback sound and it doesn't sound like any other songs out today, and thematically we don't really hear songs like this anymore. But, LFTG's #15 peak aside, I feel like Tim has a good deal of momentum right now, so hopefully this one can climb up toward the top. Definitely one of my favorites right now and I'm so glad he released it. It's definitely restoring my faith in Tim again.

I'm hoping now Big Machine will finally realize Tim's at his best when he releases well-written, soulful stuff. This strategy of selling out to the bro country crowd just doesn't work for some artists, particularly the classics like Tim McGraw. Tim's two biggest hits from the last album were classic, meaningful songs and maybe now his label is finally noticing a pattern. I'm definitely looking forward to Tim's CD and the fact that the release date has been pushed back several months makes me think Tim is working really hard to put together some really deep material. Even though Tim's singles have been a mixed bag lately, he still remains one of my top 5 favorite country artists of all time.

I did come to like "When The Stars Go Blue" (even though lyrically, I'm not sure what it's about) Join the club. ;) I know we've beaten this horse dead, but that Let It Go album was a criminal act committed by Curb Records. One of the questions I want answered before I die will be from Mike Curb on why "Suspicions", and "Kristofferson", and "Nothin' To Die For" were singles but "Train #10", and "Between The River And Me" weren't.

I thought this would have shown up in the Mediabase top 50 by now. I still think it will debut well tonight, but maybe not quite as high as i initially thought.

Because Mike Curb used to be the guy picking singles. He also picked "15 Minutes" from Rodney Atkins and that basically derailed his career for a little while. But with new management running the Day to Day (Jim Ed Norman, I believe), things may be different.

It enters at #41. From Billboard: Debut No. 41 "Meanwhile Back At Mama's" Tim McGraw Featuring Faith Hill Tim McGraw and Faith Hill return to the Country Airplay chart with the couple's first collaborative track in seven years, and their fifth overall, as "Meanwhile Back at Mama's" starts at No. 41. That’s the second-highest debut among those five charted songs, outpaced only by "It's Your Love," which debuted at No. 35 in May 1997 on its way to a six-week No. 1 reign. McGraw and Hill later rose to No. 3 with "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me" (1998), No. 6 with "Let's Make Love" (2000) and No. 8 with "I Need You" (2007). The new collaboration previews McGraw's album "Sundown Heaven Town," due Sept. 16.

Sabre14--as a HUGE Tim McGraw fan whose stunning 'Everywhere' CD was among the very first country CDs I purchased back in 1997, I agree that the choices for singles from 'Let It Go' were really underwhelming.
As I stated several years ago, I'm still convinced to this day that if the exquisite 'Blank Sheet Of Paper' had been released as the third single from his LLYWD CD after the title track and 'Back When' both went to #1, it would have not only spent several weeks at #1, but could have conceivably wound up #1 for the year over that putrid Craig Morgan smash.
When WUSN/Chicago started playing the equally wonderful 'I've Got Friends That Do' in early 2007 after the sublime 'My Little Girl' peaked at #2 behind the ho-hum 'Watching You', that could have also been another multi-week charttopper for him if a ton of other country powerhouses had followed suit, but instead we were cursed (some of us were anyway) with the gruesome 'Last Dollar', which followed the equally underwhelming or-worse 'Beer in Mexico' to #1 7 years ago last month.
I wouldn't be surprised if this wonderful tune enjoys a monstrous chart debut debut next week; somewhere within the top 40 would appear to be a very strong possibility. If this tune streaks up the chart as I hope it does, I would sincerely hop that they'd move the release date of his forthcoming CD forward to sometime this summer; mid-to-late July would be wonderful.
'Truck Yeah' was absolutely inexcusable, and ditto for 'Feel Like A Rockstar', but we all knew that the very first time either of those screamathons obliterated our collective eardums, didn't we?

This is continuing to do really well, up to #27 in its fifth week on the chart. With a few songs ahead looking to go recurrent in the next couple of weeks, this could be top 20 by the first week in June.

So is this what he's performing on The Voice tonight? Or another single? Will Faith be there too?

Keep on Truckin that he performed on Ellen and the ACM Troops special was really good. Thought he did a great performance on both. Not so much on the Voice but I liked the song.

I agree 100% with someguy's spot-on assertion that this scintillating single will reach the top 20 @ Mediabase a week from Sunday on June 1st, with Thomas Rhett, Eric Church, Hunter Hayes, Craig Morgan & Sara Evans all going recurrent within the next ten days.
They figure to pass both Lee Brice & King George (sigh!) sooner rather than later, and this will undoubtedly go on to become one of the biggest singles of the summer, since there's nothing on the radio which sounds like this, and it's definitely a superb antidote to the 'bro-country' deluge, so even a top 5 finish a la 'Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me' or 'Let's Make Love' is definitely within the realm of possibility, even if that peak doesn't occur until after Labor Day, which is fine with ke.
Evem with a new Kenny Chesney single hitting radio next month according to a recent ad in Country Aircheck (I wouldn't be surprised if he premieres at King George's swan song in Arlington on June 7th), I don't see any singles on the verge of challenging Tim & Faith from behind now, for while the new singles from Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum & the Zac Brown Band are all scooting up the charts as well, none of them figure to have a shot to overtake Tim & Faith until sometime late next month.
I still wish they'd move up the release date for Tim's CD to sometime in July, waiting until mid-September makes no sense to me whatsoever.

"City Lights" was written and recorded by Deric Ruttan. He also co-wrote #1 hit "Mine Would Be You" for Blake. I like both versions, hope it could be a single.

It's been really nice watching this climb up the chart, and seeing it already nearing the top 15. This is one of the best songs I've heard on country radio in a long time, and it's just so refreshing to hear on the airwaves. It seems to have an older sound to it, and brings back memories of some classic ballads from the late '90s. It's nice to see that country radio will at least still play a slower song with fantastic lyrics. I hope it becomes a huge #1 hit.

I want this to be a big hit more for Faith Hill than Tim McGraw.

This one has grown on me a lot. It wasn't instant for me, but now I am really enjoying this one a lot. I'm glad it's been performing strongly and I hope it goes all the way to the top, which would certainly make up for the terrible single that preceded it, not unlike the two great singles that followed "Truck Yeah."
His last album was a mixed bag for me, but I'm looking forward to this one on the strength of this and the good tracks from his last.
