Full title: Enrique Iglesias f/ Sean Paul, Descemer Bueno & Gente de Zona - "Bailando"
"Bailando" is a song from Enrique Iglesias, which it's included on his new album Sex + Love. The track, which it's sung entirely in Spanish, features Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona. A new Spanglish version has been recorded and it features additional vocals from Sean Paul, expecting it to be the next English single from the aforementioned album, despite it's not included on it. As a consequence, it gives me Euphoria vibes with the release of "Tonight (I'm F**kin'/Lovin' You)" tbh~ Listen to the radio rip here.

English version impacts May 26, according to Republic Playbook (who notes only Sean Paul as having feature credit for reasons unknown).

I like this. It remends me of his older sound before he practically went all dance.

English version impacts May 26, according to Republic Playbook (who notes only Sean Paul as having feature credit for reasons unknown). I suspect that abridgement will happen a lot as the full credits of the song are quite the mouthful and that's before taking into account that December Bueno and Gente La Zona aren't well known names and harder to pronounce for English speakers. I like this. It remends me of his older sound before he practically went all dance. It's a big nitpick but stuff like this irks me slightly. Whenever I hear someone refer to Enrique's older music I tend to think of his early Spanish material which is not like this at all. Of course this is somewhat reminiscent of some of his crossover songs which I understand for a lot of people was when they first heard of him but it's not like he kept that sound for more than one token song per album. As a one off this is fine by me and it is an enjoyable song and I hope it works but Enrique works best a straightforward popstar. Where does he get all this money to keep trying? Surprisingly international sales for Sex and Love have been fairly good and his label obviously have faith he can pull off a US hit. Wasn't the last time everyone wrote him off when he come back and scored his two biggest smashes? There is a precedent here.

at this being scheduled to impact on Memorial Day. I thought impacting on holiday dates was never supposed to be a good thing?

Where does he get all this money to keep trying? Long answer: He's an absolute icon in Latin America and is currently maintaining a stable level of success in Europe. Short answer: The US isn't the only market. ETA: Not to mention his personal net worth of $85 million.

I've liked a lot of (but not all of) the stuff he's done recently, but I absolutely love this. Would love to see it smash.

This is probably his first true chance at a real hit since Tonight. Still skeptical though. Wish it didn't feature someone as 2006 as Sean Paul.

I'm hooked on this now as well. Enrique is coming back for RETRIBUTION and bringing Sean Paul along for some with him. Still salty "She Doesn't Mind" flopped here but that's a whole different story...
Anyway, yea, "Bailando" may just be his hottest single since... "Bailamos" and that's coming from someone who loved a lot* of the in-between.
*But nothing else recently.

I actually think his style of rapping fits the song well and while it may be nice to have a more current mainstream name I can't think of any one that would fit as well. If this works out maybe Sean Paul could have a place on radio again.

I like Enrique teaming with Sean Paul for this...but there's something about the resulting song that doesn't quite work.

I thought I liked the Spanglish version better; but, there's just something about the quick lyrics in Spanish that captures you in a way that the English doesn't as much. Either way, like much of his music, I like it a lot and hope for success. But, if there was a way for the Spanish version to be a hit here, I'd be ecstatic.

As I said before, I prefer the Spanish version. I like the English one and Sean Paul's part too, but the unnecessary use of Spanglish in the lyrics is a letdown for me. Don't get me wrong, but: I wanna be contigo And live contigo, and dance contigo Para have contigo una noche loca Y besar tu boca I wanna be contigo And live contigo, and dance contigo Para have contigo una noche loca Y besar tu boca This doesn't work for me and it's really weird. Para have contigo? Enrique should have stuck with the original, singing in Spanish here in my opinion.
Anyway, the English version is out on iTunes, being included on a revamped edition of Sex + Love. I personally think his team did a terrible job here because they deleted the previous ones when they could have added a standalone version of the song instead. The only explanation I find why they did this is, maybe, because they want to sell the album with both versions being on the digital version.

Para have contigo? lmfao I don't see why they couldn't have replaced "contigo" with "with you girl" or something of that nature.
