I was looking at an old chart and noticed "Crash Here Tonight" by Toby Keith. I don't think I have heard that song once since it fell off in late 2006. It peaked at #13 on MB and #15 on Billboard. I was suprised that this song didn't do that well, I thought it was a well crafted song. And the video co-stars Heather Locklear! I actually wasn't surprised that "Crash Here Tonight" died in the teens. It was following another slower song ("A Little Too Late") and even though the former was a #1 R&R hit, I think "Crash Here Tonight" was just a tad to slow for country radio even in the fall of 2006. Ironically it wasn't the slowest song charting then. That distinction goes to "Like Red On A Rose" by Alan. The first verse of that song (even though I grew to enjoy it) was really really slow.
