I BLAME z100 for the audience gain or some other new york station (but i'll check allaccess sometime later in the day to see whats going on cus i'm a little confused on how its still gaining on audience but yet its spins are dropping like rain faling down from the clouds.

Is this a highly streamed song? It's Hot 100 position was a little better than I expected.
This song has done very well considering when "Neon Lights" first came out it seemed like this era was Dead.

Streaming is about the same as sales.

I have to agree. I'm happy with where this song peaked. I didn't actually expect it would hit Top 5 considering the stiff competition that is surging. Does anyone expect/know there will be another single?

I'm okay with this song's peak, and actually think it's time it goes. I mean just look at the amount of songs waiting right outside the Top 10. It's done really well for a fourth single from a 15 month old album from a Hollywood Records artist, despite having admittedly lackluster sales. And this is one of the best mid-era comebacks I've ever seen. "HA" smashed to the Top 5, but "MITUSA" could have been a career-killing flop. But then "NL" managed to chug through all the way to the Top 5, and "RDC" just flew up to the Top 10 once again. With three Top 10 pop hits, Demi may be HR's best singles era yet.
I'm just surprised "RDC" didn't outpeak "NL". It has the better sales, better fan reception, better callout scores, better streaming (I believe), the feature, and a more seasonally appropriate sound. I'm sure the clusterfuck around it has something to do with it though.

^THIS. Plus, I feel like competition for spins is just stiffer at the moment. There are lots of giants out there stealing spins like no other. The songs in the 15-5 range around March/April weren't quite exploding in the same way during "Neon Lights" run.

It's close though depending on how you look at it.

It bothers me that pop is sending this screaming back down so quickly already, while Hot AC is only JUST getting with the program.

this has been a surprise hit for her. No one was expecting it to crack the top 10 on radio Good for her, she is solidifying herself on radio

This really should have been the second single. I think it would have easily been the era's biggest hit if it had been. At any rate, it still did very well considering how little momentum the era had at this point.

I'm happy how this song turned out. And I agree with whoever said this should've been the 2nd single, but at least it was released at some point. I hope there will be a 5th single, but considering this is HR I'm surprised there was even a 3rd...
