Second single from The Hunting Party. According to Mike, "Until It's Gone" kicks off with the sort of warbling synth effect that was the group's calling card on their 2000 breakthrough debut, Hybrid Theory, but builds into a brooding, textured gloom rocker that reminds listeners, via singer Chester Bennington, that "[you] don't know what you've got until it's gone."

Hopefully this is a lot better than the lead single.

I like Guilty All The Same, but if this song is better than it then that's awesome. I'm excited for this and the rest of the album.

I can only hope this does better than "Guilty All the Same".

Just from the 15-second clip, I predict a...

#32? fuck no, man. It's Linkin Park - top tens on impact. Too bad people like shitty pop music in the top 10 instead. Bands like Linkin Park who churn out quality material consistently should get top tens like snap.

Too late for them, they're permantly screwed on the format after Guilty All the Same flopped so badly. With the heaviness of Chester's vocals, I doubt this will even reach top 40. #32 is optimistic.

Wait, I'm so far behind on them. Where is "A Light That Never Comes" from and when what? what? lol I'm lost. They're on the next album? Okay, to get you up to speed: - "A Light That Never Comes" was released on September 16, 2013 as the lead single/promotional single from Linkin Park's remix album Recharged, which was later released on October 29, 2013. "A Light That Never Comes" peaked at #7 on Alternative and ~#47 on Active.
- "Guilty All the Same" was released on March 7, 2014, without any prior promotion. It was also announced that the band's sixth studio album, The Hunting Party, would be released on June 13, 2014. So far, "Guilty All the Same" has peaked at #17 on Alternative and #1 on Active.
- "Until It's Gone" will be released today at 7:30 PM GMT on BBC Radio 1 as the second single from The Hunting Party.
Hopefully that helps, haha.

Sounds great, and I think it has a good chance of out-peaking "Guilty All the Same" on Alternative.

It is pretty good. Hopefully it can do something more on Alternative.

A ton more radio friendly than Guilty All the Same. Catchy and repetitive, should do well heading in to the summer. Sounds like a blend of Minutes to Midnight and Living Things.

This song is pretty shitty. It's not heavy enough. It'll perfectly cater to the pussy indie crowd on Alt though.

I don't get what he means. All I complained about was how shitty this song was because it lacked edge and heaviness. So many Alt rock songs flopped because they play gay indie shit instead - like Foster the People and Neon Trees, and even pop like Lorde. So it is fucking stupid now.

This sounded great, and I can echo the thought that this will outpeak "Guilty All the Same" and get them back into the Top 10 on Alternative, and hopefully, even the Top 5.
My predictions:
#3 on Active #6 on Alternative

I thought it was very good. I'm hoping this at least hits the Top 15 on Alternative and it would be disappointing if it doesn't hit Top 5 on Active.

I'm one of the supposed "pussies" who prefers indie-type music over most of the stuff on the Active chart, and yet I loved "Guilty All The Same" while this song leaves me cold. Granted, LP have always been hit or miss for me anyway, but "Guilty" and the descriptions of the album really had me looking forward to hearing what else they had in store. This may prove to be a saving throw for the Alternative format, but I'm still hoping most of the album is more like "Guilty", which I find to be a breath of fresh air for me compared to much of the "heavy" being promoted to radio these days.

Top 5 on Alt, Top 5 on Active. Optimistic? Maybe. But LP can do it, this song is great.

Like this about as much as Guilty All The Same, so decently enough. I think this would have been a better lead single if they were looking for a high Alt peak. I don't think that was their goal though based on what the interviews were saying, so I'm curious to see where this could end up. Top 10 isn't out of the question but I don't think it can get much higher than that after the poor reception of the lead single.

This is incredibly boring and repetitive. Can't believe me favorite band as a teenager is now making music I couldn't care less about.

This song is good. Still though, they haven't put out a truly great single since "New Divide"

^ I'll basically echo that sentiment, except for that I'm a bit underwhelmed by this. I'd put it about on par with Guilty, though I was disappointed by that, so...
