It sounded like a Carrie Underwood feat. Miranda Lambert song based on the 90 seconds clip. ;) Carrie's vocals are so powerful!!
There's no way radio will wait 3 freakin weeks to play this! It'll probably be top 20 by June 9th. LOL.

The preview sounds so good. So much grit.

Could it be a single contender since Carrie is in between albums?

It sounds a lot countrier than I was expecting, which is great. I was expecting a straight-up rock song, but it's a good blend of rock, country and blues. Carrie's voice sounds fantastic here, I almost thought her part was Miranda singing at first because she's got a very pronounced twang going on here. Could it be a single contender since Carrie is in between albums? It's practically confirmed to be the next single, since Miranda and Carrie have both already been talking about what they want to do for a music video, and they're performing it tonight on the Billboard Music Awards.

Hope that "Automatic" can still make it to #1 on both charts (as in not just a Mediabase-only #1!!) before this gets released. I'll be upset if that happens, even if this song is destined to be an absolute monster on all fronts. At any rate, looking forward to seeing their performance tonight! There's no way radio will wait 3 freakin weeks to play this! It'll probably be top 20 by June 9th. LOL. Depends on when they send it to radio. If they wait until after "Automatic" finishes its run (which they should, imo), then radio will only be able to play the live performance from tonight since the album cut isn't out yet. It would make sense to capitalize on some sales numbers by putting this track out digitally, but I kind hope they wait because I don't want to see it interfere with "Automatic." I guess digitally releasing it wouldn't hurt as bad as officially sending it to radio though, so I hope they at least hold off on that until next month.

Like I said in the thread for Carrie's next album, this song is both what I expected from them and not what I expected from them. I don't know what that says, but I do love the song. They both sound fantastic, and the song is just fun. I was grooving to it on the first listen. This is definitely going to be big. The studio version will more than likely be available following the broadcast tonight. I would release it if I were them. I think the two singles can coexist for a few weeks, and "Automatic" could reach its full potential while this song starts its climb.

I'm going to wait until the performance to hear it, but I'm really looking forward to this. I also agree that the two singles can coexist for a few weeks. If "Automatic" doesn't hit #1, I don't think it will be because of the duet.

This will sell because of who's involved, but that was a surprisingly awful performance. The vocal affectations didn't work at all. And the song itself isn't nearly what I thought it was going to be.

Not a fan of the song. The performance did remind me of female Fla-Ga Line.

Sounds very Aerosmithy to me. Haven't heard the studio version but the TV performance was awful, IMO.

I liked it - maybe not quite as much as I was hoping to, but I still thought it was pretty good. It will be a huge hit though.

I'm clearly in the minority so far, but I liked the performance.
It just seems like a fun song with a kick.
Carrie's vocals were AMAZING and they both looked like they had a ball performing together.

Well, I thought the performance was quite good. It's a bit hard to understand the lyrics but given the type of song it is and the fact that it was live (not to mention the first ever performance), I think they did well. And based off the preview, I think I'm really going to enjoy this one. The production is really cool and their vocals are excellent. I don't see how this is in any way similar to bro-country themes though. It sounds to me like a couple of girls out looking for trouble, having a few drinks...a similar theme to Carrie's own "Last Name". Drinking songs ≠bro-country songs. Furthermore, they aren't singing about trucks or partying in the country, and they sure aren't objectifying men like so many of the bro-country guys objectify women. I mean, it's not as if Carrie and Miranda are in a bar looking to pick up a guy just because he's got a nice sugar-shaker or money-maker or whatever you want to call it

I won't get it off of iTunes, since I've already pre-ordered Miranda's album, but I'm definitely looking forward to having it. I wonder if it will be able to sneak onto tomorrow's Billboard chart if any stations start playing it tonight.

I didn't watch the performance and haven't listened to the clips yet, so I'll wait to voice an opinion regarding the song.
But DAMN the comments on Facebook are BRUTAL. Ouch.
