This is premiering online tomorrow. It's been far too long since this lady graced country airwaves. I don't expect much mainstream success anymore, but I can't wait to play the song myself.

I expect this to perform similarly to recent singles from Jo Dee, Dolly, Kellie Pickler, etc., but it'll be nice to hear something new from Lee Ann. It's been way too long.

This has made my night! I can not wait to hear this! I like the title too. LAW is one of those artists I am always worried because I expect so much from them, but she hardly every disappoints. Hearing this may be the high light of my weekend!

Unfortunately Sugar Hill artists get next to no airplay so I don't expect this to do much outside the secondary charts but it's fantastic to have new music from one of the best female vocalists ever in country music in my humble opinion.

Given the current state of country music and country radio, as well as the heartbreaking-and-then-some top-15 peak for the absolutely flawless 'Last Song' with an equally flawless video to match the mood of that standout song from 2008, new music from Lee Ann Womack would be at the top of my country music wishlist every single year.
With all the respect in the world to three equally peerless female singers named Lorrie Morgan, Patty Loveless and Trisha Yearwood, Ms. Womack would nevertheless get my vote as the format's #1 female artist of the past two decades, since she has unquestionably and most certainly deserved the sky-high amount of reverence at country radio which George Strait & Alan Jackson have unquestionably earned during those same two decades, because she's most certainly earned it as much as they have without the numerous number one singles and instant classics they've both amassed since 'The Fool' became an instant classic and a #1 single at R&R/Mediabase in 1997 and a #2 single (boo!!!) at Billboard. ' This is definitely the best piece of musical news I've read about all year, and I cannot wait for Sept. 23rd to get here, since this will undoubtedly bethe most-anticipated CD release of the second half of 2014 for those of us who cherish first-rate songwriting and immaculate vocals from a legendary and downright luscious vocalist.

Think you mean, "Last Call" not "Last Song." I also want to echo what Marv said here about "Last Call." I just went on YouTube to re-watch the video and I forgot how flawless it is. Do yourself a favor and check it out tonight if you never have. Just an absolute perfect video for an incredible song.

I'm so glad this song and this album will see the light of day! I've seen Lee Ann perform "The Way I'm Living" a few times and it is such a phenomenal song delivered flawlessly. I don't know what current country radio will do with this, but regardless it is an unbelievably great song. I've heard a few of the other songs slated for the album and if you love great country music filled with emotion and talent, it won't disappoint. I don't think that "Same Kind of Different" would ever be a single, but what a wonderful message. That song will rival "Painless" as my favorite Lee Ann song. Check out leeannwomack.com for a description of what to expect from the album. I'd hope you all request "The Way I'm Living" and let country radio know that we still want music like this! I know I will.

I can't wait to hear the new song and get her new album! It's been FAR too long without new music from LAW.
Also, since we're talking about it, "Last Call" is my very favorite LAW song. It is just a chilling vocal and lyric and I echo the sentiments on the music video which is top-notch (I LOVE black-and-white video treatments). "Last Call" is really responsible with turning me into a fan, too. I'd enjoyed "I Hope You Dance" but I was largely unfamiliar with her work outside that song up until the release of LC and I fell in love with it and ultimately bought Call Me Crazy. Now, I own all of her albums bar Something Worth Leaving Behind (though I plan to get that one eventually as well) and I'm a pretty big fan of her's.

^I had to go back and listen to "Last Call." Wow, how'd I forget what a great song that was/is. I am so excited for some new LAW music! It's such a shame radio pretty much gave up on her during the Something Worth Leaving Behind era (which I've said before is itself an underrated album with great tracks).

Pam Tillis doesn't make your list? But no matter. The unfortunate thing about these women is that they also appear on the "discarded by radio" list and they can't get off that one. It's great to see a thread with Lee Ann's name on it, but now I've got a craving for something I'm very unlikely to get -- reminds me of the Pulse thread for Pam's Band In The Window a few years ago. Fat chance that one had. I'll take a 10-week chart run that doesn't even reach the top 40, just to see her name on the weekly BB chart for awhile.

I've been a big Lee Ann Womack fan since the beginning. One of the great female country singers in the last 20 years for sure. Wishing her all the best with this new single.

Anybody on this board have a really, REALLY REALLY big Brillo Pad for yours truly to wipe all of this egg off my face?
Once again, the incomparable Zazie has jostled my memory and left me flabbergasted that I forgot Ms. tillis; while I used to gnash my teeth every time 'Maybe It Was Memphis' enhanced the airwaves on 'After Midnite', I was always ticked that Blair never played any of her other masterpieces, starting with 'When You Walk In The Room' which was written by Jackie DeShannon, who also co-wrote arguably the #1 top 40 single of the 1980's, the equally incomparable masterpiece entitled 'Bette Davis Eyes'.
So add Ms. Tillis to my list, so that it is no longer woefully inadequate; her mesmerizing rendition of 'The River And The Highway', co-written by Gerry House, is yet another flawless timeless classic.

I have been waiting all day to hear this...and damn it is just incredible. I've (we've all) been waiting way too long for new music from LAW and the anticipation of hearing this had me on pins and needles. If country radio had more songs like this still mixed in the mess they have us all listening to, well it might be more listenable. Loving the new songs from LAW and Sunny!!

Hey, I need some help here. Does she say "it's a dog-gone (doggone) shame" at the end of the chorus? I did some research and found out that this expression actually exists, but I'm not familiar with it and I'm not sure if it's that what she sings.

Shania also used the phrase in her song "Love Gets Me Every Time". It was actually supposed to be the title originally.

I grew up in the Midwest and it's a pretty popular phrase there. I'm sure it's popular in other places too. I guess it just seems quite common to me.

Shania's song was originally titled "Gol' Darn Gone and Done It" (says nothing about a dog)..It was changed to Love Gets Me Every Time... I don't know where you get your ideas from
