Yeah, "Dirt" is not bro-country at all, so whoever thought it was to begin with must've had very cloudy judgment.

This is a song that is just kind of there for me. It doesn't resonate with me on any level, positive or negative. When it comes on I just kind of ignore it and before I know it 3 minutes or so has passed.

Dirt will be in good position for a multiple-week stay at #1, possibly even 3 depending how long "Roller Coaster" blocks them, but seeing how it is Luke's 5th single, I think they'll most likely be willing to settle for just one week at the top for Luke. But the next closest song behind "Dirt" is "Burnin' It Down", and it's behind by over 10 million in audience, and roughly 700 spins. 4 weeks could be a stretch, but I fully expect this song to make a run at 3 weeks. Seems like maybe their label made a good decision to let "Roller Coaster" past it on the charts.

Sorry for double post, but new song "Sun Daze" is available on iTunes. It sounds like a huge smash in the waiting. It's pretty much their first "beachy" kind of song, even has a whistle in the background. Reminds me of a more bro version of "Day Drinking".

So glad to know that FGL has matured as artists. /sarcasm Oh and it's widely regarded as their next single. Yay.

^ Couldn't agree more, their music is pretty predictable but whenever Tyler says he hopes to get laid.... Oh my god no. Also they name drop Haggard so yeah.... Im surprised the hook didn't go "sundaze is my favorite day after saturdaze"

They should definitely save it for the 3rd single, which will be around summertime. That would make the most sense.

I was under the impression "Anything Goes" was going to be the next single and "Sun Daze" was more likely to be their summer release.
Dm2081 was on the right track about "Dirt" being in a very good place to get multiple weeks at #1. "Where It's At" and "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" will probably both begin falling after this week and "Roller Coaster" will probably get two weeks at #1, placing "Dirt" at #1 three weeks from Sunday. "Burnin' It Down" is 1000 spins and 9 million audience impressions behind "Dirt" on Billboard as of yesterday. It should take 3-5 weeks for that gap to be closed, so "Dirt" should get at least two solid weeks at #1. However, I wouldn't say that Republic Nashville decided to "let" "Roller Coaster" go up ahead. Luke Bryan and Capitol Nashville are a deadly combination and pretty much can't be beaten by anyone on the charts (except, of course, Thomas Rhett).

Multiple sources have said that Sun Daze is the next single, including one of the co-writers. I'm on my phone, but can search them down and link them later on. :)

Markus Meyer its true although i'm not surprised its being released now after all wasn't Cruise released late fall in 2012? "Cruise" was released in July/August I believe, and peaked around December. "Cruise" was a unique situation. It had been going over unbelievably well on The Highway and they got signed to Republic Nashville, so the label wanted to capitalize on that audience that was there for that song while the iron was hot. The timing did ended up being odd with it peaking in December, but a smash is a smash. I agree that "Sun Daze" would automatically become one of my least favorite songs on the charts if indeed released next.

"Sun Daze" is an abomination. Not that I really ever keep the station on "Dirt" when it's on since Hubbard's voice is my nails-on-a-chalkboard, but now I guess I'll appreciate hearing it more since I now know what could most likely be coming up soon.

Whether you like them or not, the success of their first album is just crazy. Skimming through those stats in the image at the bottom of the article, it's crazy to think of how popular they are with really only one (extended) album.

I think there's gonna be a lot of controversy with "Sun Daze" cause Tyler mentions getting stoned and getting laid. I don't see this going over well with many people.

I agree on the melody being really catchy, but holy man the lyrics and vocals on that song are laughably bad. Enough with the over the top accent that changes with every song to fit the music.

They made great leaps with Dirt only to come crashing back down to depths that they had never achieved before with Sun Daze.

I love Sun Daze WAAAAAAAY more than Dirt. I'm glad they're not going the whole serious route. Dirt's ok, but it's nowhere on the level that their previous singles are. Sun Daze is though! Clearly it's gonna need some lyrics swapped for radio. This will be a tailgate anthem for generations!

I do feel as though the songwriters really thought they had something clever with the "Sundays" "Sun Daze" play on words.
Gotta say, after hearing "Dirt" and then "Sun Daze", I'm extremely disappointed.

From what I've heard, "Anything Goes" sounds way better than "Sun Daze", though I'm not as down on "Sun Daze" as everyone else is. I really want to hear the album first though before a second single is chosen, because a few song titles have me interested, like "Angel" and "Like You Ain't Even Gone".

They just played one on ESPN and it sounded decent. Not as atrociously written as Sun Daze and it had a pretty catchy melody. Of course I can't remember the name.

Yep, I heard it too, but I think I heard it on ABC, not sure. I liked the sound of it & it sort of had the Ready, Set, Roll chorus feel to it. I'm not a fan of Sun Daze at all, mainly due to the whistling, reggae vibe to it. I didn't like that feel at all in Carrie's One Way Ticket, and I don't like it here. Anything Goes sounds better to me from the snippet they just released.

However, the version for football is customized so the album version lyrics will be different (and thank goodness because the ones they are using for football are cheesy as hell) I think "Anything Goes" plays on Friday night football as well

FGL is currently on WWE's Night of Champions assisting with commentary for a match...not sure if anyone here cares. but seeing two of my favorite things in life (country music and wrestling) combined is awesome for me.
Also they confirmed that "Anything Goes" (the single) will be available on iTunes Tuesday.
