Nothing too surprising, this week. I had Sam Smith pegged as the only, potential, debut (we were spoiled, last week, with 5 debuts). I guess Justin will be at #1, next week. I'm guessing "Love Runs Out" is the Subway Fresh Buzz Song ("Ten Feet Tall" is also one of the options).

Bear in mind, KelownaGuy20 gets the international version of the show (I think). So there may be other random extras played that aren't reported here (yet).

I won't be able to confirm the U.S. version for a while. According to a source, they added an interview at the last second so the U.S. version will be delayed.

Kelowna, I appreciate you trying to chip in here but would it be alright if I take over the playlists in the future (since I live in the United States and you get the international copies)?

"Love Runs Out" is by default (the lone Breakout) the Fresh Buzz song of the week.

The new show started with #40 at 8:03 p.m. EDT on the iHeart AT40 channel.

Hot Chelle Rae's "Don't Say Goodnight" was played as an extra after #32.

Grrrr...has the iHeart station, suddenly, developed an allergy to the number 30? I checked in several times, last week, and every time they skipped the first segment of the second hour. Guess which segment they just skipped in the current airing of this week's show? Yep, we went from #31 before the commercial, to #26 after. I'm no radio programmer, but how difficult can it possibly be to get this right?

I thought "Not A Bad Thing" would be #1 this week for sure. Oh, well, I guess next week now.

Rihanna is played before the Top 2 with "Diamonds". I remember some time ago, in the exact same spot, "Diamonds" was played before the Top 2.

As usual, the optional extras for Hours 1, 2 and 3 played consecutively just before midnight EDT.

Hour 2, Segment 1, featuring #30-27, was skipped the first five times the show played. As of the noon-4 p.m. EDT show on Thursday, they still have not played this segment.

Only 1 debut, and once again still no sign of the Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake "Love Never Felt So Good". Is it ever going to make the AT40 chart or not? Otherwise if it keeps getting shafted from AT40 it's going to flop!

"Love Never Felt So Good" isn't even in the Top 40 with recurrents, so it won't make AT40 yet. I believe it will chart on AT40 sooner or later.

No big deal. I appreciate the postings but it's just a matter of the fact that Premiere works on the international version of AT40 first before (after checking for exact time length) adding extra stuff for the United States version (something I wasn't aware of until last year).

Nobody's perfect. Especially not my Tampa Bay Rays (9 straight losses as of this typing and counting) or the iHeart Radio channel even.

As nice at that would be, I don't, honestly, see such a thing happening. When Casey's time comes, Ryan, will, undoubtedly, acknowledge it and offer some sort of tribute. But doing an entire show in his memory seems a bit of a stretch. Ryan has been the face of AT40 for over a decade. AT40's current demographic, most likely, doesn't care all that much about Casey. Those of us who grew up listening to him will have to honor him our own way.

I didn't listen to today's show, but got the one new song, and listened to last week's show again. Too much effort
to do all the editing out of commercials, etc. I wish the new songs would be featured more uniformly from week to week.

Kongos are the sons of John Kongos who had this minor hit in 1971:

I don't care too much for #5 and #6 on this week's chart. We got 17 one word titles(a record?), plus another
one on the verge. And some of them are in blocks of 5 and 4 in a row, not counting extras. (38 - 34, and 15 - 12)
We even got a Happy Birthday (13, 12).

iHeartRadio's AT40 channel appears to have made some changes. It is no longer skipping segments except for the optional extras.

The optional extras seem to get tossed in at odd times, not at the times they would play during the show. But most times they don't play at all.

They also seem to have edited out a lot of promotional and commercial announcements. Perhaps we are now hearing the international version?

AT40 has confirmed that they are now using the international version of the show on the iHeartRadio channel.
