If this had gotten more of The Highway play, it would've sold better. Look at how well unsigned artists do w/their programs.

If this had gotten more of The Highway play, it would've sold better. Look at how well unsigned artists do w/their programs. It doesn't happen too often either for a song to get that high and be largely ignored by them. The biggest atrocity was "I Got A Car" last year. I didn't hear that song once on The Highway. Satellite radio is still nowhere near the monster that terrestrial country radio is but they've helped make and break some songs and careers over the past few years as their popularity continues to grow. Anyway, a #19 MB and #21 Billboard peak and last 34 weeks is a hallmark achievement for Streamsound. Hopefully The Highway (which I do listen to much of my time in the car) will support Kristian's next single better.

My guess is that it didn't get enough love from fans to play there, which is surprising considering how much it would've really fit in there. (As would've "I Got A Car")

My guess is that it didn't get enough love from fans to play there, which is surprising considering how much it would've really fit in there. (As would've "I Got A Car") It's call-out numbers were never that great so perhaps it just didn't move their needle enough. The problem is that because they play so many songs compared to terrestrial radio, along with all the off the radar songs, it causes some songs getting love from the monitored stations to get lost in the shuffle on satellite. But people did want to hear "I Got A Car". That one I feel was more of The Highway just deciding that George's music wasn't going to "fit into" their playlists anymore.
