Their long-awaited sophomore album "The Physical World" drops September 9. If you're Canadian and not the least bit interested...then who are you?

What's with all the "year bands" lately? You have this band, The Chain Gang of 1974, Night Terrors of 1927...

They didn't really miss a beat, sounds like them to me.
I had no idea they even got back together, lol. I need another "Sexy Results" from them ASAP.

I'm sure this will go top 10 on Canada-Alternative and it'll probably do fairly well in the UK like their singles 9 years ago did. I somehow doubt it crosses to the US though. For some reason they have no interest in the crossover attempts of Canadian indie bands. "I Love You" by Said The Whale only got to what? #37?
It's unfortunate, because most of the CanCon acts on the Canada-Alternative Top 50 are less poppy than some of the American acts that do well. Nice and guitar-driven.

I've heard of this band for a long time as I know they're big in Canada, but never actually heard them. I don't think this is bad at all and should fit into the chart pretty well. I do like that it has more of a rock feel to it than more of the generic indie on the chart.

I really hope this takes off in the US. Other than Metric, no Canadian alternative act is even remotely successful on the format right now (Not counting anyone who has made 1 appearance in the top 40).

Shadows in the Dark and Green Baron would appreciate THIS kind of indie rock too. You guys should hear it.

Well in 2004 everyone considered them indie (at my school, anyway ), but by today's standards they probably aren't.

Anyone who likes this will like their (IMO) marquee single from their last album...10 years ago.

I never heard of these guys before, they been around for that long? Yeah, they broke up in 2006 after only one album which came out in 2004. That album is, well, was, one of Canada's best kept secrets. I remember when I hated them in grade 8 when the 3 singles were receiving tons of airplay on MuchMusic and on my local rock station, but over the years I've acquired the taste for their style and I love going through their album now. You're A Woman, I'm A Machine is easily of the most energetic and most intense indie rock albums one could possibly listen to.

I just found out the origins of this song. The great Mississauga train derailment of 1979. ("200,000 people and no one died ") I'm starting to like this song more and more! Hopefully a top 10 for these guys (still waiting it's been close to 4 years for a Canadian band to go top 10)

May 15, 2010 the last time a Canadian alternative song would enter the top 10. :/ Something fishy there I tell ya. Maybe a conspiracy? I don't know!
