Did CS really fall that hard or was it just pulled from the chart due to going recurrent on the Hot 100? Because if it's the latter then I don't understand that at all (I remember the same thing happening with Daylight in 2013) I mean on the Streaming Songs chart we have plenty of recurrents like Wiggle and Radioactive...a song shouldn't be taken off a component chart if it's still in the top 50 of it just because it fell out of the top 50 on the Hot 100, it makes no sense whatsoever!

Yes,m I believe tracks are removed from the airplay chart once they are removed from the Hot 100.
What's with all the CS talk, anyways? :)
"Chandelier" is hanging on OK in airplay, even though top 40 radio didn't give it its proper due.

What's with all the CS talk, anyways? :) A lot of us love that song and honestly I think it's stupid to take a song off like that. If it's still in the top 50 of airplay, then it's still in the top 50 of airplay and should therefore be on the chart. I can understand for the Hot 100, but the idea of recurrents for a component chart is just absolutely ridiculous IMO. I'm sure there are people that agree with me on that lol

I've been a OneRepublic fan since Apologize, check twitter, I'm actually one of their biggest fans (probably the biggest in my country) and I am more depressed about CS dropping out of the Hot 100 than my grades in my final term. I've been checking kworb daily to monitor its position, I kinda hoped it would be 46-48 on this chart, sadly, they took away my happiness.

Over 60 weeks on the chart and 25 in the top ten wasn't a big enough hit for you lol!

It's making its slow ascent so it would probably be out in a few weeks time but it deserves to still be in this chart if it is still top 50 in airplay, regardless of its status on the Hot 100. I don't see why the two should have any correlation in terms of recurrent songs. Deprivation is deprivation regardless of how many weeks it had already been on prior to going recurrent

Deprivation is deprivation regardless of how many weeks it had already been on prior to going recurrent That I will admit makes sense, and I have always thought that. And the strange thing is, they don't have that same recurrent rule for the Digital Songs chart (at least last time I checked) - songs just stay there for as long as they continue to sell and rank in the top 50, or top 75 as it used to be.

Same thing with Streaming Songs (Wiggle and some other songs are still on that chart)...this rule really makes no sense to me and certainly seems inconsistent. They should just do the same for Radio Songs.

All of Me is gonna fall off the chart from thirty-something when it's off the Hot 100 because of the stupid recurrent rule. -__- a song should still be on this chart if it's high enough even if it's recurrent on the Hot 100. I find their rule for this so foolish especially when it's so inconsistent like with Streaming Songs a song can be recurrent on the Hot 100 and still be here. Makes no sense to me.
EDIT: and Latch will fall from even higher, twenty-something. -______-

You've said as much before, eh? ;)
Not only do can songs be on Streaming when forced off the Hot 100, but also Digital Songs. Not sure what the reasoning is, but there must be something to it.

This is a component of the main chart it's only purpose is to feed the Hot 100. If Radio Songs chart had more prominence then I am sure the rules would be different

Just an opinion but with digital and streaming, there is only one way to measure popularity and the popularity is dependent solely on the music consumer. Not the case with radio.
The root of the whole "recurrent" thing seems to be more radio driven than anything else.

The root of the whole "recurrent" thing seems to be more radio driven than anything else. True but I just don't really see how being recurrent on the Hot 100 makes a song recurrent on radio. If it still hasn't gotten out of the top portion of radio airplay then in my opinion it shouldn't be taken out just because it didn't have enough sales and streaming supplement to keep it alive on the Hot 100.

Goes back to my first comment, if Radio Songs were the primary chart, the rules would possibly be different. Radio Songs feeds the Hot 100, not the other way around.
