Rascal Flatts- My Wish Hunter Hayes- Storm Warning (I can't stand any of his other songs, but I liked this one) Luke Bryan- Rain Is A Good Thing Miranda Lambert- Only Prettier (I'm not ashamed to love this..but a lot of people seem to hate it, so I thought I'd put it here ) Craig Morgan- Tough Martina McBride- I'm Gonna Love You Through It (Cheesy song, but I loved the vocals)

I seemed to have missed this thread. Here are some songs I consider "guilty pleasures"... apologies if I name anyone's favorite song.
-Cledus T. Judd, anything and everything. I listen to him and am familiar with his music way more than I'd care to admit. -Craig Morgan, "International Harvester," "Redneck Yacht Club," "Little Bit of Life", etc. -Faith Hill, "Breathe," "Love the Way You Love Me" -George Jones, "High Tech Redneck" -Jason Aldean, "My Kinda Party" -Joe Diffie, "Pickup Man," "Honky Tonk Attitude," "John Deere Greene," "Third Rock from the Sun," "Bigger Than the Beatles ... any and all of his derided novelty stuff -John Michael Montgomery, "I Swear," "I Love The Way You Love Me" -Merle Haggard, "Rainbow Stew" -Montgomery Gentry, "Where I Come From" -Robert Ellis Orrall, "Boom It Was Over" -Shania Twain, "That Don't Impress Me Much"

-Merle Haggard, "Rainbow Stew"
I love that one. I consider that to be country's second best live recording (outside of Thank God I'm A Country Boy by John Denver off his Evening With John Denver album). Merle Haggard was still getting political in the 1980s (like his late 1960s to early 1970s output). Haggard got political with Are The Good Times Really Over For Good I Wish A Buck Was Still Silver.

Taking this as songs I sometimes like but would hate to admit to.. Luke Bryan, Country Girls and Rain is a Good Thing - I can like both of these quite a lot so long as I pretend I do not speak English Toby Keith, Trailerhood - fun in a goofy way Big & Rich, Save a Horse - why not Blake Shelton - Hillbilly Bone :o Female division is a lot harder. Blown Away by Carrie? I don't usually care for her especially after enduring Undo It and Remind Me. But as a song, Blown Away is fine for me.

-George Jones, "High Tech Redneck" I saw this and did a huge ROFL . I was just a kid when this came out and this album was on my Christmas wish list that year. I still love this song, and the video was rather memorable as well! The album isn't too bad (check out "The Love in Your Eyes" and "Never Bit a Bullet Like This" with Sammy Kershaw).

Two more that came to mind today:
Fast Ryde - "Top Down" (autotune aside, i quite like this for whatever reason)
Trailer Choir - "Rockin' The Beer Gut" (it's catchy...yeah, that's all I got. Just really like it)

Guilty Pleasures like, "for Pete's Sake: You are not supposed to like/listen to this"? If yes, then I have developed a late special liking for Carrie Underwood's: "Blown Away" When bored at the office I'll stream it at least once a day. Don't judge me; I know I shouldn't (both the office and Carrie..). He He. Add in Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind Of Night" and include Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You" to round off the hidden pleasures.

Just thought of another one: Trace Adkins - Chrome The video I wasn't a huge fan of, but the song itself I enjoyed. I liked most of Trace's diddy songs (except for "Hot Mama") up until "Swing". Then he started having some pretty bad singles IMO with "I Got My Game On" and "Brown Chicken Brown Cow".

Exactly, his earlier novelty stuff obviously isn't as good as songs like "Every Light" and "Arlington", but a lot of it is enjoyable in a guilty pleasure sort of way, if heard once in a while. I remember hating "Ladies Love Country Boys" when it was current and I had to hear it every day, but now that I only listen to it like once a year it can be pretty amusing. He did, however, take the novelty factor way too far with some of his later singles. I remember Trace stating in an interview that he went to the novelty song well too often around that time and I couldn't agree more.

"Holler Back" - Lost Trailers
Though I still wish that "Call Me Crazy" or "Why Me" would have been the songs that became their first and only top 10 singles. Both are much better than "Holler Back", even though I enjoy "Holler Back".

I was at one of the concerts they filmed for the CFLL trailer, but I don't know if said concert was in the final cut.

Tim McGraw - Down on the Farm Edit: And Indian Outlaw too, for that matter. "Down On The Farm" I can do without but I enjoy "Indian Outlaw". Just another one I thought of was "Ain't Back Yet" by Kenny Chesney. I also don't totally despise "Feel Like A Rock Star". Is it good? - No, it isn't. But it's not terrible by any means. The only problem for me is that it didn't stand out enough. The song subject itself doesn't really cover anything groundbreaking and Kenny and Tim's vocals weren't up to par with previous singles by them but it was pretty catchy and harmless (apart from the insane CC deal which it almost peaked where it debuted, lol).

With regards to Tim McGraw, I have an entire list of "guilty pleasure" Tim McGraw songs that may not have been perfect choices for singles: 1. Down on the Farm 2. Do You Want Fries With That? 3. Last Dollar (Fly Away) 4. Nothing to Die For 5. It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You 6. Don't Take the Girl 7. Indian Outlaw 8. Truck Yeah 9. Suspicions 10. All I Want is a Life Looking for that Girl is dreck and does not belong on the guilty pleasures list

All I Want is a Life Looking for that Girl is dreck and does not belong on the guilty pleasures list I'm not kidding when I say that "Do You Want Fries With That" might be my favorite song of the one's you mentioned.
"Down On The Farm" (I don't dislike it but was never a favorite of mine)
"Do You Want Fries With That"("hey, don't laugh at me you")
"Last Dollar (Fly Away)" (the two biggest reasons people did not enjoy this was the "Ha, ha, ha, ha" and the kids singing at the end. The "Ha, Ha's" I could have lived without but his daughters singing the end worked with this song since the song was quirky to begin with)
"Nothin' To Die For" (should never have been a single. The song got old real fast for me too. "Train #10" or "Between The River And Me" please)
"It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" (this song I enjoyed as well. The "I need to steal a Sherman Tank just to break into a bank, I pray to God this song will be a success" line alone is a winner) "Don't Take The Girl" (overplayed) "Indian Outlaw" (I still don't consider this a guilty pleasure. Different fun kind of song) "Truck Yeah" (yeah, no) "Suspicions" (AKA: worst decision for a single in the history of country music) "All I Want Is A Life" (another fun harmless diddy I enjoy) The only one I hate is "Truck Yeah" and I dislike "Suspicions". Other than that you won't find me knocking any of those songs.

Oh, oh, you make me feel like a million bucks. Oh, oh, I oughta drive you around in an armored truck.
Those are some of the lyrics from John Anderson's Money In The Bank. How does that compare to:
"It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You" (this song I enjoyed as well. The "I need to steal a Sherman Tank just to break into a bank, I pray to God this song will be a success" line alone is a winner)
