I catch myself doing that to some of Taylor's music, and there's only like one song of hers that I like lol It's not country, but I sing along to MMMBop all the time...

Any Blake Shelton song is a guilty pleasure to me. I like "Last Dollar" too. I remember hearing it for the first time and thinking "WTH am I listening to?" But it gradually grew on me and now I thoroughly enjoy it.

Before is fine by me, especially "The Baby" and "Austin". I liked "Last Dollar" from the first time I heard it unfortunately.

Blake through about the Pure BS era is fine by me.

I think this thread is interesting. I don't believe in guilty pleasures though. I feel like if you like a song or artist then you should not be ashamed of it and you should like what you like. I like "That's My Kind Of Night" by Luke Bryan for example but I don't feel any guilt in it. Just because a million people hate a song doesn't make me feel guilty for liking it.

I agree that no one should ever feel guilty about liking a song. Personally, I interpret the phrase "guilty pleasure" to essentially mean songs you like that are widely disliked, or songs you think are bad from a critical/objective standpoint, yet you enjoy listening to anyway.

For me it is more about sometimes liking a song that my own standards say I shouldn't

I still kind of enjoy "Something In The Water" by Jeffrey Steele.

Trace Adkins - Chrome, Swing, Ala-Freakin-Bama Blake Shelton - Hillbilly Bone (featuring Trace Adkins), Honey Bee, Some Beach Jake Owen - Eight Second Ride, Barefoot Blue Jean Night Chad Brock - Yes! This post is a work in progress. Anything that isn't a serious song by Trace, Blake or Jake invariably is a guilty pleasure of mine. All of the above, except for Ala-Freakin-Bama, I agree with. A few more by this trio: Kiss My Country Ass (Blake) - very guilty pleasure, but I love it. Also loved Country Strong (another album cut from Startin Fires, I believe). The more redneck Blake is, the more I tend to enjoy him. I do appreciate his pre 2008 catalogue but can't stand most of his milquetoast songs of the last few albums. Yee Haw (Jake) Honkey Tonk... (Trace) Biggest guilty pleasure of all time for me has to be Earl Dibbles Jr (Granger Smith) and Country Boy Song.

Currently:
Sam Hunt - "Leave The Night On" - I know it's not country at all, but it's one of my favourite songs at the moment.

I detest "Mr. Mom", yet secretly like "My Front Porch Looking In", which is the sippy cup song. Go figure.

"My Front Porch Looking In" was a good song idea and an Interesting title, but that chorus just ruined the whole thing. Just another Lonestar song appealing to the previously mentioned "Soccer Mom Crowd".

I think "Mr. Mom" is kinda cheesy, but it doesn't quite cross the line into glurge for me, so I can give it a thumbs up and call it at least a guilty pleasure. "Front Porch", I agree, is a waste of a perfectly good title. The concept of "Front Porch" is fine but the execution is cringeworthy.

Thank you for proving my point. After Amazed, Lonestar was uninspired. Sure, a few more #1s came their way and what, seven years later they were dropped by BNA.

They were dropped when BNA decided to release borefests like "I'll Die Tryin'" and "Nothing To Prove" to country radio. Plus Richie was planning on leaving the group anyway. "Mountains" did go top 10 in late 2006.

It also fit right along with that "you can do anything you put your mind to" inspiration cliche ridden song that Lonestar was right at home singing those days.

I thought "Mountains" was mostly a good song. My only real problem was the line "them danged ol' hills will get you every time", which sounded corny. If you didn't want to say "damn", then why not go with something like "You know, those hills will get you every time"?

If you didn't want to say "damn", then why not go with something like "You know, those hills will get you every time"? Haha, agreed. And personally, the "This world ain't fair, It can knock you on your butt!" line sounded very corny to me, or at least the way Richie sang it. I like the song though. With regard to "My Front Porch Looking In", I admit it's the very definition of a guilty pleasure for me. It's not a song I would ever willingly seek out, but if it happened to come on the radio while I was listening, I would probably enjoy myself. >_> I have some strong nostalgic memories associated with that song, but if I heard it for the first time today, I probably would regard it as awful.

George Strait- River Of Love Same here. Yes, it's a bit fluffy and not extremely memorable, but it's a fun song with a great steel guitar solo.
