Did it have an airplay promo at rhythmic, as well?
I heard part of it on radio yesterday- and it was a station that speeds up songs as it is. It did sound like a lot was going on- have to give it another listen to make sense of it all.

Well, i'm curious right now. The song is cathy enough to be a hit, but it will depend of the burning rate (this could end being Sing part II).
On the other hand i'm quite surprised of the radio and sales attention. Jessi J had a hit a bunch of years ago, Nicky is far from being at her best, only Ariana is a radio darling at the moment, but right now is getting airplay and sales (sales way better than in UK where Jessie is way more popular)

song's good, but i am wondering how this song is supposed to turn jessie's career around. i mean, if anyone's gonna profit, it's Ariana - basically, the new it girl - and nicki. i can see people talking about this like "oh, have u heard that ariana grande & nicki song?" That might be the case if Jessie was unknown, but she's had two big hits in the US (and is about to get a third one), so she's pretty famous. Is she famous though? Of her two hits, Price Tag didn't hit as hard here and Domino is consistently miscredited to Katy Perry amongst the general public. She has failed to make much of an impact here in the US I think.

Jessie really sounds like Kelly Clarkson in many parts of this song.

I've always been rooting for her and I hope that her team's plan will work out

Jessie really sounds like Kelly Clarkson in many parts of this song. She would have been an infinitely better duet partner for this song than Ariana Grande.

I would've loved that. Kelly will easily rip a R&B/Pop song.

So Republic is saying 135 adds. How are they figuring that?
Mediabase says 72 for Pop and 25 for Rhythmic. And the number only goes up by like 2 if you include unmonitored ones.
(I'm always confused by this, as the labels always seem to state a number of total "adds" that is inconsistent with adding up the weekly counts...saying Meghan Trainor was on 100 pop stations PRIOR to this week, for instance. I couldn't find more than 70 from Mediabase's weekly report.)

I was wondering that too (with Adam (UTR), so these are mostly his thoughts that I'm repeating now, lol) - thinking maybe they're early commitments for adds that will show up on next week's report, or maybe just 135 stations that have played it. I wish I understood those better too because that inflation of adds figures seems to happen a lot for big singles.

All 3 of them are credited as leads, not features. Jessie J said this was all their single. #girlpower

Yup. Terrible. Jessie J is screeching, Ariana is shrill, and Nicki is meh. It'll be a huge hit, though.

catchy chorus, but the production is a bit all over the place Think the complete opposite, lol (seems a lot of people are having opposing opinions here - very polarizing song). The production is so creative and nuanced to me, but the chorus doesn't quite flow in a perfectly catchy way. Still such a sticky song though.

Not feeling this. Their vocals don't mesh well together and the song isn't good. I agree with dbhmr that Jessie J is actually a very capable and well trained singer who is plagued by weak material and bad decisions regrading her vocal stylistics. This keeps that trend going.
But you know, if all you look from a song is bitches belting and appearing independent and/or empowered, I guess you might like this.

I like this, but I feel like the chorus should pack more of a punch.
Jessie steals the show by a mile..it's really too bad her material is s*hit, because damn girl can SANG.

I am in love with this. Jessie J sounds incredible on it, in particular, but I love Ariana and Nicki on it as well. Loving that this is off to a hot start already and I hope JJ can keep cranking out hits stateside after this smashes.
