"Top Of The World" was never a US single? :O I never knew that either! "Top of the World" came out just a few months before Billboard finally allowed airplay-only songs to chart on the Hot 100, but apparently the only physical release in the US was for the remixes with Big Pun and Fat Joe. So I guess that didn't qualify it as an official single?

Madness! I was sure that was a #1 single. It was everywhere during it's run. At least in my childhood.

So I guess that didn't qualify it as an official single? I think the release you were talking about was a remix EP and it was titled after "U Don't Know Me (Like U Used To)" even though it also had remixes for "Almost Doesn't Count" and "Top of the World." So I don't know what Billboard would have done with that, or when it was released during "Top of the World"'s run.

"Top Of The World" was never a US single? :O It went to number 44 on the Hot Airplay chart, but as it was early in 1998, it was ineligible to enter the Hot 100. :)

"Number 1" the Mystery Skulls track is on their SoundCloud page. Needs more Brandy, but it's kinda cute.

I would like both tracks much more if they were Brandy only.
Also, the new Le Youth track samples "I Wanna Be Down".

Love the snippets!!!!!!!! The vocals in the second clip! :O
I can see she's going back into the direction of Human; lite r&b/pop with stronger vocals. I'm so here for this.

Which is strange because she denounced Human. I remember her saying "to hell with that album!"

She'll eventually denounce this one too.

Denouncing Queen! I've loved all of her albums for different reasons but my favorite one (the only filler free one) would be Afrodisiac, even though her vocals were parched from vomiting/lack of eating. Two Eleven is my second favorite. Human has 106 and Park 1st & Love, Right Here, and Fall, so I have to love it by default. Anyway, I'm excited for BranNu Brandy!

I thought her eating disorder was during the 90s, not during Afrodisiac.

I think rock bottom was during Afro. She looked TERRIBLE during that album's run and she sounded beyond raspy. But, the songwriting and production was perfection. The ONLY song I don't care about is the T.I. one.
Edit: I just read that it was the 90s but I think she looked thinner during Afro.

She was definitely skinnier during the Afro era. But I thought she looked great at the time, especially after the baby and all. Can't believe it's been 10 years since my favorite Brandy album was released.

I'm definitely here for FM/Afro Brandy. Human Brandy, not as much.

Nothing really new, but she seems to be in good spirits.
On another note, I was watching some videos of her on YouTube from the Baltimore African American Festival back in June, and her voice is just SO good. Vocally, she always adds something new to her performances; no two performances are the same. Her ear is incredible. I still don't know how I feel about her singing with that filtered/auto-tuned mic, but I also think it adds to the performances since you can hear so clearly.
Here are the videos:

She's never put out a bad album as far as I'm concerned. I loved Human, but I hope that she has more variety on this album if she returns to that sound. Human's biggest flaw is that it was a little too samey.

I always get a out of body spiritual moment when i hear her voice on this song. So eerily haunting. Like I'm in a good mood and then I hear it and i get sad for my sister type of emotional angst.
