Second single from upcoming album Gypsy Heart, now being pushed to pop radio after a record-breaking 850,000 downloads as the iTunes Single of the Week last month, six million video views, and strong press coverage.

It's a really nice video.
I don't understand why 'Hold On' wasn't huge, but I would like for this to be something of a significant hit somewhere.

It's a really nice video. I don't understand why 'Hold On' wasn't huge, but I would like for this to be something of a significant hit somewhere. I liked Hold On initially but it had a quick burn rate. Her team's EP execution seems to be going well since the song was free on iTunes its first week and got exposure. Now, the video is on the point of becoming viral and it's looking like this may be her biggest hit since Fallin' For You.

LOVE this. Not sure how well it'll do since it's a little slow, but some ballads have been doing fairly well recently. Hopefully this is one of them.

The fact that almost a million people have already downloaded it won't help

after a record-breaking 850,000 downloads as the iTunes Single of the Week :O But won't that hurt her sales though?

In a year with ballads that I've disliked for the most part (Say Something, Stay With Me, etc.), this one is really good.

I am trying to stay calm... Colbie needed some press and attention in a bad way, after the "Hold On" fiasco... I am so excited! With this many views, I'm sure it will chart on the Hot 100... and the news coverage keeps coming!

What happened to "Hold On"? It's one of my favorite tracks from her.

What happened to "Hold On"? It's one of my favorite tracks from her. It didn't chart on POP radio as far as I know. It made The HOT AC Chart, peaking somewhere in the Top 20, and then dropped hard. Too bad, though. I loved "Hold On".

This is a really pretty song and she delivers a very beautiful vocal. It's that music video though that sends this over the edge for me. What an inspiring message and the execution was wonderful. I'd love to see this song just absolutely blow up in a big way!

Hold On was crap (and don't get me started on the video), I had no doubt it would flop big time. This, on the other hand, sounds like a small hit and a pleasant song, which is what Colbie needs.

I always wonder how many downloads those free singles get; it's good to get an occasional number.

This has moved quite a bit in the past 24 hours. It's currently sitting at #18 on iTunes and is still gaining. I'm extremely happy that this is blowing up.

So, so, so glad that this is blowing up. I'm more than glad to see its video going viral and in turn that translating to awesome sales! That means not only is the video grabbing people's attention, but so is the song itself! It's connecting very early on, and that's an amazing sign. This is shaping up to be one of her biggest hits, if not rival "Bubbly"'s success.

This song/video is EVERYWHERE right now! Holy f**k @ 850K having already d/l this! Then again, that was still really early on. Maybe it's a strategy that could pay off! I'm still obsessed by that whole EP. It's probably my favorite pop project of the last 2 years.

I always wonder how many downloads those free singles get; it's good to get an occasional number. It's usually around 300,000+. Songs like "Me and My Broken Heart" pick up bigger numbers than that though. Highest I saw before this was 500,000+. There's probably been higher than that though.

YES. YES. YES. I am so glad they're pushing this to Pop too, just not HAC.
This is a beautiful, beautiful song that needs to be heard everywhere. The video is also awesome which helps.

Definitely one of her best singles in a while, but it panders far too hard for me to get into it.
I'm okay with "All About That Bass" pushing this sort of message because it does so in a humorous, light-hearted, quirky way, but this song is far too self-indulgent for me. It so obviously WANTS to receive praise for its "message."
Still, I think Colbie's the kind of singer that doesn't stand out but can win you over when you hear her, so this has a chance due to all the buzz around the video.

Yeah, this is a bit too contrived for me, but I've always loved her voice. She has such a rich, warm tone.

Wait, it really had 850,000 downloads that week? I've always been curious how many copies of songs are downloaded during those iTunes Single of the Weeks.

Clearly the 850k free downloads didn't hurt it too bad since it's #18 on iTunes.

Well we all know the pass on "Hold On" was one of the biggest misses in CHR/POP history, rather it went for adds or not.
10 million views in a week, nearly a million in free downloads on iTunes, sitting pretty in the top 20 on iTunes, and I couldn't hate something from her more.
Colbie Caillat, a talented, beautiful, incredible artist, going for this gimmicky shit. It works, I don't understand why these types of things continue to work, but they sure do. Hey girl, take your make-up off, you're pretty underneath. OMG REALLY? DONE! I'm taking it off! Wait, nobody is doing that. Make-up will continue to be a dominate product in the world. Girls will watch this video and 10 minutes later cake some on to go to the grocery store. Nothing will change, yet people thumb it up like a movement is beginning. The whole video made me cringe, I'm gonna take my wig off and I'm gonna pull off my fake eye lashes! It was just like all the same shit I've seen so much. Just the other day I watched a John Legend video where some girl took her wig off - BUT SHE'S STILL BEAUTIFUL! What is wrong with people wanting to improve their appearance, or cover up unfortunate things that happened to them. If I got some sort of disease that caused me to lose my hair, I'd get a wig and I wouldn't think twice. I wouldn't think "god, why do I have to wear this wig, I wish people would just find bald me beautiful." No, I'd just wear my wig because I feel like I like myself better with it on. Girls can think they look prettier with make-up on. What's wrong with that? Guys can feel like they look better with make-up. Let them. Let everyone. Why is it that removing make-up is the bold statement and not wearing make-up and being proud of yourself the bold statement?
