"Rich" makes me hungry for a new Trina album tbh. Is this her first guest appearance in a Top-10 album since Weezy's IANAHB2 in 2013?

I guess I'm gonna be the odd one to say that this might be my favorite album from her. The standouts for me were Not A Little Bit, Make The Bed (such a bop, I need a Deruloless edit), Time and Sleep Like A Baby.

This was a let down first listen based on the talk she gave about her "sound." But she made it clear that she lost the battle to her label, so whatevs...
But I've given this 2 solid listens since then, and I must say, this is probably her best album to date. It has a darker, smoker's mood that could potentially read as boring to some. She's definitely one of the leaders in contemporary female R&B right now, and this album doesn't take that away from her. And there are touches of the "exploratory" sounds she was trying to make fused with R&B. It's a win.
Singles should be
1. Not A Little Bit 2. Make The Bed (f. Jason Derulo) 3. Rich (f. Trina and Yo Gotti) 4. Sleep Like A Baby

I actually really like this album and the Best Buy tracks are very solid. Memphis and Life I Chose are really nice but I can definitely see why they left them off the standard.

"Memphis" and "Life I Chose" are boring and quite generic, imo. I miss first/second album Kimberly. I do not understand why she wants to make this music so badly. It is uninspired.

I knew Danja had contributed to the album, but the curve ball that he threw with If It Ain't Love! Trina's verse on Rich also reminded me how she ate Get Your Money Up from Keri's album.

This more I listen to the album, the more I love it. It's still not as good as her second, but it's more consistent than her debut.
The throwback tracks are by far my fav: "Time," "If It Ain't Love," "These Men," "All I Got," 'Nightstand." But I really don't hate a song on the album to be honest. And I f**king love "Memphis." I'm waiting for that country EP (that will never happen, she always promises sh*t and never delivers).

I actually like the second half more, since those songs are written by herself and show her edges in a subtle way.

Yeah, this album is definitely a grower. Like, Nightstand's chorus is always stuck in my head. Put it on my nightstand BAYBEE! I also think she is connecting with the material here more than she is given credit for.

LAWD, her interview on The Breakfast Club today was a mess. She went in on Angie, haha.
I'm just gonna go put "These Men" on repeat.

I agree with her label that if If It Ain't Love was sung by a white artist that it would be a huge hit record. That is not to downplay K. Michelle because she murdered that track, but in the world now and because of who is singing, the track will be just another album cut that fans will love. I feel this song in my spirit everytime the bold section comes up: It's crazy, amazing All wrapped in one If it ain't love, I don't know what is It's perfect, worth it We'd turn and run If it ain't love, I don't know what is Makes us insane, no ones to blame That's how I know you're the one It's crazy, amazing We fucked it up If it ain't love, I don't know what is

That song is amazing. She does well with the old school soul ballads. They should release it.

I kinda understand her being pissed at Angela but on the other hand...would she ever say anything if Charlamagne or Envy called her a hoe? And did she really think those two irrelevant rappers were gonna affect her album sales? Even if she does really get into her feelings all the time, K Michelle loves the drama.

Like... I saw her posting about it on IG the other day, but I had no earthly idea what she was talking about. And then when someone in the comments said the guy's name, I was like WHO?! I get why she would feel irritated with the way Angela handled the situation, and I think initially she was going to be fine with not even acknowledging it and doing the interview. And even when she was asked about the situation, it seemed like she was comfortable with just telling Angela how she felt and leaving at that, but SHE IS SO EMOTIONAL! LMAO. She got deep in her feelings halfway into her explanation, and that was IT. She really doesn't know how to separate business from personal. She had a similar issue on the season finale of her show, cause her friend, an event promoter in LA, allowed her ex-boyfriend to attend an event and posted a pic with him on Instagram. Like....let people do their jobs, girl. On one hand, I thought it was totally unprofessional to gather little Angela like that on air. But on the other hand, I like that she gathered her because she was defending herself, and felt like Angela should have upheld some kind of woman empowerment fulfillment or something. That interview really reminded me of Mary J. Blige in the 90s doing TV interviews and being disrespectful to the hosts.

I listened to the album quicky and I didn't find it as strong as AWBAH. Might be a grower but as of now, I feel like that album had more personality.

Ideally "Make The Bed" would be her first top 10 hit and a Pop crossover. But we know it's not gonna happen.

Whew! She got all in her feelings in that interview. Shit like that is exactly why I love her. She can be a mess and downright wrong sometimes, but she's always honest in her music and her public life, warts and all. I can't take that away from her.

She did so much less writing on this album. I wonder why.
As of now I think I prefer AWBAH but I could see this one surpassing it over time.

Regardless of Angela brought it up or not, the fact that she was ok with the guys saying things 1000 times worse yet giving crap about Angela even bringing it up (only to do her job) made her a massive hypocrite. She's always so much about "females supporting each other", yet she gets into it with a female for the dumbest reason every other week. I'm so tired of seeing talented female artists spending their time and energy being messy rather than taking care of their careers.
The album is cute, I like Sleep Like A Baby.

The entire interview was spent on talking about her stank box and bullying Angela. Then she wonders why her music is always overshadowed by her petty bullshit.

She did so much less writing on this album. I wonder why. Yeah, I wonder what the deal was. That being said, she and her team did a good job of picking material that sounds like she co-wrote it. I find myself gravitating more towards the second half of the album that she did co-write.

Oh poor Angie, cry me a river. Did K. Michelle go overboard? Probably. Is K. Michelle a hypocrite that has started unnecessary drama with other females in the past. Undoubtedly. But on the flip side, Angela Yee is a gossip monger and sh*t stirrer who got called out on her sh*t. Big deal. I can't bring myself to feel sorry for her at all. She's far from some poor bullied victim.

Ang Yee is no victim, but she has the proof that she didn't start that ish. Uncle Murda dropped K's name. Then K went on that Insta-speech rant.
