Well it most certainly has a better chance to chart higher and push more units than MISC

Didn't K. Michelle accuse Tamartian of Auto-Tune? WTF is up with K's voice on How Do You Know? It's not even human sounding LOL.

...that's how she always sounds studio or live. And I don't see it for "Going Under" being anybody's single. Definitely the worst song to surface from the project so far. The only reason it landed so high on iTunes is because of the album pre-orders...which is a good sign for the album when it actually drops next week!

Fantastic album! She definitely has a signature sound, and I love that even with the variety of musical styles on this album, the songs still sound like K. Michelle. I like that she's not afraid to experiment with different styles; her songwriting approach, and the way she hears melodies is so not....radio-friendly, and she definitely doesn't have a lot of single options on this album, but I like that she is attempting to push the boundaries of what an R&B artist is supposed to sound like.
"Build A Man," "Drake Would Love Me" and "God I Get It" are amazing!

I'm impressed. I would've liked more uptempos in the place of a couple slow songs, but yeah... I'm only nit-picking, the record is solid overall. Sidenote, which were the country and rock songs exactly?

Yeah, I need one good club banger from her but I'm sure that will come on a future album.
I don't know about a "rock" song (although LEA certainly has rock elements) but God I Get It is the country song; the male feature on it didn't pan out obviously unless it's being saved for the future.

The album is good, but just like her debut, it has to grow on me. Instant favorites were "Hard to Do" and "Cry". I wish she had more mid-tempos instead of all of the ballads at the end. I expected "Drake Would Love Me" to be a mid-tempo catchy track, but thankfully a beat dropped in the second verse. I honestly don't know where they are going to go with singles because she doesn't have anything "hit" making for urban. I could see a radio edit for "Cry" though.

Hard To Do and Cry were my standouts. The album is boring to me, I've never gotten into her voice as well. A miss for me.

The album is a definite step up from her debut, but I agree that there are absolutely no single choices.

I've been listening to this album all day. LOVING it. Something about it just sounds so fresh.
On an unrelated note. How the hell is her hair always so perfect?

You think a random, unpromoted song from an under the radar R&B singer just lands in the top 10 on its own? Lol

I wish she would make more of an effort to establish herself. She is relying so heavily on the reality show to sell the album, and while that may work temporarily, it's not a longterm prospect. For this album or for her career.
We hardly ever get any live performances from her or good interviews. I don't expect her to pull in any major shows or anything, but can we at least get on Wendy Williams or 106th & Park? ANYTHING.

While I'm somewhat disappointed in the album, I'll still support her. The price is too good to not buy it now.

This isBY FAR the best R&b Album to come out this year. I think people are not really taking time to enjoy the music because it's not a typical, like on the first listen kinda album. Just listen to Keyshia Cole's latest effort and then listen to this. It has a Motown feel at times, then a early 2000s R&B feel, then a country feel. It's just so good. Go K!
Can't wait to hear "Get in My Bed" in full too

The last 5 minutes of the season finale of her show were a RIOT. She's fucking hilarious.

Wow, that's excellent score for her and while I don't agree with it (highlighting some of meh tracks), that's great for her.
