Bebe Rexha's (the vocalist from the Top 15 pop hit "Take Me Home" by: Cash Cash) debut single "I Can't Stop Drinking About You" will be released to pop radio on August 12 according to All Access.

Honestly didn't want to keep listening after the first note. Enough with the uber-affected "I'm SANGING" tone on all these songs. Why does everyone go for some variation of the Adele or Lorde sound?
Some people (including the two aforementioned) totally pull it off - they make it sound believable. This sounds so forced. And unfortunate - because her voice sounds so smooth and stunning when she just lets loose and belts.
I mean - her voice slays on the lead into the chorus. That's what I want to hear from her! Not the faux jazz/soul shiii

Cash Cash has had one successful pop single. It featured Bebe Rexha. So, yes, it does figure that she'd be the one who launches a solo song at pop. I actually don't think Take Me Home is bad, but I'm with you that THIS song isn't anything special --and her voice is really obnoxious on it. But I don't get the concept of complaining about the most successful Cash Cash featured vocalist getting a follow-up song. |
