Higher's verses are so vintage MJ.
The One is IDJCHTD's spiritual sister.
Fever has had me in its grasp since the tour and I am slain by it still. Instantly transported to high school prom, making flirty eyes across the gym.
Cry is a MASTERPIECE.
Store is insane.
It's interesting how there is a unique 80s element in each song. (The Ohhs in Body Language are transcendent.) What a lot of the "80s inspired" albums of the past few years have missed is that it's more than just synths. The percussion, the song structures and elements here all authentic vintage with a modern coat of paint. Hope she sticks with the Disco vein she's said she's flirting with, because a modern ABBA album from her could possibly end my life.

Not that I'm expecting any sort of sales for this, but it's at #9 on iTunes.

This is really solid. Not sure how "Boy Problems" made it onto the album over some of these.

Yeah, this is another collection of flawless pop gems from her. It's almost too perfect. Which is exactly the same way I felt about E.MO.TION, but then I got over it, because perfection is a stupid complaint.
"Cry" is the highlight for me. "Higher" is right up there too. The only one I waffle on is is "Store." I actually love the lyrics, production, verses and especially the pre-chorus. And I actually think the lyrics to the chorus are hilarious, but something about the melody/singing pulls me out of the song.

Ingrid, Britney, and Carly all on one damn day. Jesus I'm going into shock.
I went for a nice run and zoned out listening to this nice pop gem. So good per usual! Catchy, and running to it was wonderful.
The One is my favorite, followed by Higher and Cry.
Go ahead and take my $7.99 yes please! I would have paid more!

I hope she tours NYC again. Even though I was ditched and wound up going solo for her Emotion show in NYC, it was one of the most fun shows I've been to.

I can't believe it's in the iTunes top 10! The original album should've had the chart success that matched its critical acclaim.
So it still says Sold Out on Carly's online store, but it finally let me successfully purchase a Side B CD. Maybe they are out of the autographed ones and will just continue selling the standard. I don't care either way I just want it on CD!

My friend didn't appreciate Emotion til a month after the show and regrets leaving 4 songs in to meet another friend. But it was one of my favorite shows I've been to, I've never been a part of a crowd so into every single song. It was amazing, we should've linked up and raised hell haha. but I hope she comes back too

In a perfect world, Run Away With me would have been a contender for the end of the year chart, and she would have opened the VMAs with Run Away With Me then transitioning into a new single from B Sides.

I was ditched by a Voldemort on Pulse that suggested we meet up prior to the show and go together but apparently thought we were on a blind date. I got to the bar and, unbeknownst to him, overheard the convo between him and a friend who was telling him not to be so shallow and that I could be a really nice person. Then, he said that he hoped I wasn't Asian, based on my real name. However, I think once he saw I was actually Black, he decided he wanted nothing to do with me. As it turns out, shallow NYC twinks are not my thing anyway but I'm glad to know there are cool CRJ fans out there! Anyway, I definitely need to order a physical copy of this.

Not the new queen of pop giving us leftovers that are better than 95% of everyone else's albums. :'(

I literally CAN'T at the Queen bestowing this blessing upon us after creating last year's best album.
"Cry" is my favourite. It's literally f**king perfect. She executes joy and pathos with equal aplomb and subtlety. ("He never wants to strip down to his feelings" is an amazing lyric.)
Scalped again.

"Cry" though. Like, how that didn't make the cut for the album is beyond me.
I echo the sentiments of most everyone else with other songs too. "Body Language" is super fun just not in love with the 'overthinking it' part.
Still 8/8 though in my book.

Her B-Side collection is better than a lot of mainstream pop albums and I'm making it a personal crusade to make Queen Carly the hottest pop commodity. She can A&R the hell out of future artists with her laser focus of soundscapes and themes.

I love this B-Side collection. I'm so glad she put this out, because it feels like a continuation of an already stellar album.
Honestly, I don't think I've loved a pop singer as much as I love Carly in a LONG time. Her brand of pop is such a breath of fresh in music right now. I can't wait for the next album. <3

Super Natural + Love Me Like That + B-Side = the 10 track album E·MO·TION Pt 2
That's what all those together make for me.

I like B Side more than the original album. I think Carly does the modern-throwback better than most artists.
