I wouldn't even be mad if Run Away With Me: Remastered was the lead single..

Her new look is cute.
Apparently she's worked with a lot of PC Music producers... which I'm not head over heels excited about, but whatever. Emotion: Side B finally took me all the way out to start the year off; if it's even half as good then I'm more than ready.

I wouldn't even be mad if Run Away With Me: Remastered was the lead single.. Seriously, that song deserved to be a multi-week SMASH.

https%3A//soundcloud.com/carlyjepsenslave/cvt-t0-th3-f33l1ngThe new song for the film "Ballerina, Leap!" set to be released on Labor Day, she also has another song made for the soundtrack amongst songs from Demi Lovato & Sia. The song sounds great and still gives off the same vibe E·MO·TION does, which is great. https://www.instagram.com/p/BRsXki4FWxl She's also in studio with Charli XCX, both of them working on new albums, maybe even a possible collaboration?

i was at the Padre game last night and they played "Take a Picture" during a pitching change. Always a good day when you hear a Carly song in the wild. Especially when it isn't "Call Me Maybe."

Only time I heard a CRJ song other then CMMM was Tonight I'm Getting Over You at the airport last January Lowkey bopped my way down the place while dragging along a suitcase, and once I got on the actual airplane immediately decided to listen to all of This Kiss again.

Even her cheap, straight to bargain theaters animated movie soundtrack cuts slay lives. Pop music needs a new Carly album ASAP. I wonder how far along she is.

How is this an E·MO·TION scrap?! Thirty seconds in and she hits us with yet another soaring chorus that gets the adrenaline going from the jump. She doesn't even need to record a new album, just keep chugging out these gems onto soundtracks and EPs and I'll be in bliss.

If she's trying to pull a "Breakaway" with an iconic soundtrack song turned lead single of a masterpiece pop album, I am 100% onboard with this.

It's up to #25 on iTunes now... GO CARLY GO!!
Damn if this isn't the best and greatest way to start the weekend!! And the official start of summer!
I love the last chorus. This is really really good. What an infectious and happy chorus, and still in her style! If this even charted at 100 I would die of validation and joy!

Gotta say, I've been seeing y'all call her "Queen Carly" and what not and forever I was like "what? why?" and I never bothered to check out her music until the last few days and I am floored. I had no idea she was THIS good. What a talent. Exploring her discography even more today and I can't wait!

Apparently the new album may be called Spread Love based on some Shazam sleuthing. Is a new era upon us?

I'm here for Carly "Spread Legs" Jepsen. Give us those power hooks on some sex jams.
"Cut To The Feeling" had me pulling EMOTION back out this past week. Jesus, that album is still so flawless. 17 tracks of pop perfection. The production is pristine throughout, hook after hook, every song is a damn winner (yep, even "I Really Like You," which gets way too much sh*t IMO).

This girl got my coins this week. I bought Emotion (deluxe) on CD and bought Emotion: Side B on vinyl and digital. :) #obsessed

Jesus, that album is still so flawless. 17 tracks of pop perfection. The production is pristine throughout, hook after hook, every song is a damn winner (yep, even "I Really Like You," which gets way too much sh*t IMO). I still bump EMOTION in my car. It hasn't left CD rack 1 since the day I bought it and even if I eventually flip to the radio or another CD, when I get home I make sure to go back to CD1 before getting out so that I am greeted by that glorious sax the next time I crank up the car to go somewhere. I might have a problem lol. IRLY was the 'weakest' song on an album with no real weak spots. This is admittedly just my own perspective clouding things but I always felt it catches flack simply because we know now that there were even better options (I am still upset that RAWM was considered and then passed over as the lead single), and IRLY was guilty of being a smidge too conspicuous in its attempt to recapture that CMM magic. I also, after a ton of thought, have concluded that things went left after CMM b/c Carly has yet to produce another visual that captures people's attention the way the CMM video did. The music should stand on its own but unfortunately for female pop stars so much more is required to really take off as a star. She needs another viral moment.

Yeah, as much as I do love "IRLY," there was no way in hell it should have been a single, let alone the lead single. And I agree, it was a blatant attempt to recreate the viral magic of CMM. I think all of the criticism directed at it in that regard is completely on point. But I just think the song gets a lot of s**t in general, for being juvenile and stupid. Is it on it's face? Yeah. But it comes down to the artist and their persona. And if there's any artist that can sell that kind of innocent, goofy romanticism, it's Carly. And even at 36 damn years old, I completely identify with the song. Because sometimes, I really, really, really, really, really, really do like someone, haha. It's such a f**king gem of a song, no matter how immature it may be. Never fails to put me in a good mood.

I loved IRLY but I think people killed off the whole era cause of it given it is similar to CMM RAWM should've been lead, maybe IRLY as the follow up.

And now I've moved on to Side B... "Cry" is one of the best things she's ever done. On repeat all day.
