Oh wow, nice job with the consensus rankings. Sorry, I'm late in posting this (it's been awhile since I've been on here :( ), but earlier today I created my power rankings.
Entertainer:
1. Luke Bryan - About time for him to get recognition for the large fanbase he has created by the CMAs but is this the whole package
2. George Strait - will they just give it to him again or won't they?
3. Blake Shelton - it's the CMAs
4. Florida Georgia Line - Pretty impressive to be headlining already
5. Miranda Lambert - it's the CMAs
---
6. Carrie Underwood - Sound of Music was big, but she didn't have music most of the year and she's Carrie at the CMAs
7. Jason Aldean - Star status slipping? Nothing big happening. Plus the fan just passed away after his show. That could hurt with the voters.
8. Taylor Swift - Absent most of the year
9. Keith Urban - Surprisingly tons of bad news after his show recently. Will certainly hurt during voting season.
10. Tim McGraw - Seemingly cooled off after HDC, but the next era should catapult him back up.
Male Vocalist:
1. Blake Shelton
2. Luke Bryan
3. Keith Urban
4. Jason Aldean - once again, material is getting airplay but no longer leaving an impact. Night Train era failed to wow.
5. Eric Church - Big album should get him back into the awards show spotlight
---
6. Dierks Bentley - so close, but he is not known for his voice nor format stardom but his stellar material. See noms for that later.
7. Tim McGraw
8. Lee Brice
9. Hunter Hayes
10. Chris Young
11. Jake Owen
12. Randy Houser
13. Billy Currington
14. George Strait
15. Joe Nichols
16. Justin Moore
17. David Nail
18. Brantley Gilbert
19. Kip Moore
(I was mainly looking at above posts for ideas. I think the only ones I added were the Moore's, Brantley, and Lee Brice)
Female Vocalist:
1. Miranda Lambert
2. Carrie Underwood
3. Kacey Musgraves
4. Taylor Swift
5. Cassadee Pope
---
6. Sara Evans
7. Sheryl Crow
8. Danielle Bradberry
9. Kelly Clarkson
10. Jennifer Nettles
11. Maggie Rose
12. Jana Kramer
13. Kellie Pickler
14. Gwen Sebastian
15. Brandy Clark (I had to include her but yea no shot)
New Artist:
1. Brett Eldredge
2. Thomas Rhett
3. Eric Paslay
4. Brantley Gilbert (will he win based off being the biggest name or will people realize he's not new...)
5. Cole Swindell
---
6. Dan + Shay
7. Tyler Farr
8. Jon Pardi
9. Cassadee Pope
10. Dustin Lynch
11. Swon Brothers
12. Danielle Bradberry
13. Frankie Ballard
14. Sam Hunt
15. Scotty McCreery
16. Charlie Worsham
17. Maddie + Tae
Duo:
1. Florida-Georgia Line
2. Thompson Square
3. Dan + Shay
4. Love & Theft
5. Big & Rich
---
6. Swon Brothers
7. Maddie + Tae
8. Sugarland
9. American Young
Group:
1. Lady Antebellum
2. The Band Perry
3. Little Big Town
4. Zac Brown Band
5. Eli Young Band
---
6. Rascal Flatts
7. Parmalee
8. Gloriana
Album: (ridiculously thin race)
1. Platinum
2. The Outsiders
3. Crash My Party
4. Riser (should be 1 or 2 but maybe I will be surprised like when EC and LBT won. Platinum is huge though and now EC is too. A nomination will be easy. Even "Home" was like 2nd best in 2012.)
5. Fuse
---
6. Pioneer (if eligible. Could be #5)
7. Storyline
8. 12 Stories
9. Just As I Am
Single:
1. Play It Again (If the label is promoting this for single over DAB) - logical choice despite my dislike for the lyrics. Catchy as anything. Good chance DAB is promoted instead though, thankfully
2. Give Me Back My Hometown
3. Invisible - not a SoTY in the traditional sense, but this song did a lot outside the airwaves
4. Automatic
5. Doin' What She Likes
---
6. Stay
7. This Is How We Roll (if the label doesn't promote "Stay")
8. Drink a Beer (if the label doesn't promote PIA)
9. Meanwhile Back At Mama's
10. Mine Would Be You (if the label doesn't promote DWSL)
11. Bottoms Up
12. Drunk on a Plane
13. We Were Us
14. We Are Tonight - my choice as best single, but it's not a big seller and it's Billy Currington
15. It Goes Like This
16. Chillin' It
17. My Eyes (if the label doesn't promote MWBY/DWSL. This was a ridiculously quick climber, so there's a case)
18 Whatever She's Got
19. Beachin'
20. Somethin' Bad (if the label foolishly promotes Automatic for song and this one for single)
21. Cop Car (if the label doesn't promote WWU, but this struggled)
Song:
1. Automatic - it's not Song of the Year if Miranda doesn't sing it (at least in the even numbered years, but MBH was close too)
2. Drink a Beer - it has been foretold before the album was released
3. I Hold On - Dierks usually manages to get a fairly high quality song nominated
4. Follow Your Arrow - Can I hold out hope?
5. Invisible - There's got to be an issue song in there, right?
---
6. Stay
7. Dirt (if the label promotes this over "Stay", but they'd be wise to save this for next year - I think as it has been foretold much like DAB)
8. Meanwhile Back at Mama's - wish I could put this in there at 5
9. Give Me Back My Hometown
10. I Don't Dance
11. Who I Am With You
12. Cop Car (probably won't get nominated as WWU is what needs to be promoted for Single and Collaboration)
13. Mine Would Be You - old and already nominated
14. I Got a Car - Gattis deserves a nomination already, but I don't think this song was big enough to get country's highest honor. Should replace DAB IMO (having already noted MBAM over Invisible)
15. Don't Let Me Be Lonely - Band Perry has no momentum so probably not
16. Hope You Get Lonely Tonight - up to the label if they want to try for song or single, but both are long shots
Musical Event:
1. Meanwhile Back at Mama's - this song will be pushing for two other nominations so it is surely a frontrunner here
2. We Were Us
3. Somethin' Bad - splitting the Miranda vote
4. My Eyes - I'm the only one that likes this, but IDC
5. This Is How We Roll - Too big not to be nominated but voters will shun this. The Miranda/Blake voting block may be split, but there is an excellent alternative at #1
---
6. His Hands
7. Small Town Throwdown - Happy I have really avoided hearing these b-listers
Music Video: (I pay very little attention here, but I'll give it a shot)
1. Doin' What She Likes - Great reviews even from those who find the song middling
2. Somethin' Bad - It's Carrie, see below
3. Invisible - Huge part of why is may get a nom for Single of the year
4. Meanwhile Back at Mama's
5. Drunk on a Plane
---
6. Automatic (highly doubt this gets pushed too hard here. Carrie's videos are like events so that is a frontrunner)
7. Bartender - I could certainly see Lady A getting a token nomination in the meaningless category here from people who will vote them best group with declines from LBT/TBP
8. Chainsaw
9. Girl in a Country Song (Doubt it made it past the first round, but too good to not mention)
Sorry, I'm not industry expert and have no idea what certain labels will be promoting. Obviously just my best guesses. I ignored if multiple artists were on the same label and getting all the nominations because I view each artist separately. If I accidentally gave all 5 spots to one label that probably won't happen, but some labels also have multiple voting blocks so there are potential for lots in a category.
