No. Let me guess. You'll start one and we will all be treated to another masterpiece. I wish you well with that endeavor. Oooo, that would be cool! We could call it the "Martina McBride Thread"!!! (As you know, she is the only artist in history to ever have 75 singles in a row peak between #11 and #18 #influentialqueen) It’s coming trust me! Soon! Very soon! Right now just the songs from the Airplay era is all I have but will add more to the thread someday.

Still no new top 10’s this week. Kane, Jimmie and Luke are still hanging around. This is the one reason I prefer the old chart method to the new one. The old chart method reminds me of how Mediabase is now where the songs slowly fall down the chart instead of sitting in the top 10 for weeks.

So I added some legends to the list. My mind has went blank though as I can't think of anymore with 20 top 10 hits or more right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have Eddy Arnold at 64 top tens, I have him at 92, good for first place. I also have George Jones at 79, you have him at 69.

Eddy I counted up all his myself looking at his singles discography. I’ll recount his and look at George’s as well. Like I said I’ve probably missed some names that have had 20 or more so if you know of any I don’t have listed feel free to let me know.

Added several more names tonight to the list including Sonny James, Anne Murray, Gene Watson, Mel Tillis, Jim Reeves just to name a few. I will number the list once I have it complete. onebuffalo how many top 10's do you have Webb Pierce and Janie Fricke at? Billboard only has Webb at 18 but I think he may have more and they only have Janie with 1 and I'm positive that's wrong as well.

My list has been fully updated finally thanks to just getting Joel Whitburn's book Billboard's Top 10 Country Hits 1944-2010. I will number the artists later. If anyone has any questions about anyone on the list and what their top 10 hits are I can message you or list them here. I have the full list of every artist's top 10 hits even people that haven't had 20 top 10's yet.

I wish I had that book. That means as a group, they only have one top ten hit. Personally, I would credit the law firm of Cash/Jennings/Nelson/Kristofferson as individual artists to pad their top ten lists. I have two requests: 1. Would you mind including chart peaks and years on these lists? 2. On vocal collaborations, could you please identify who sang with them? Like on There Ain't No Good Chain Gang, could you please say with Waylon Jennings? Merci.

I got it on Joel Whitburn's site recordresearch.com.

We have completed 17 yearly rankdowns over in the game threads and currently have 3 waiting for submissions then the reveals later in the year (1999, 1994 and 2008). I've already listed in them the top 40 biggest hits of each year according to peak chart position and total weeks on the chart. Now I'm going to list the years of the rankdowns we've completed so far with the exception of the years 2013 to 2018. These are the lists tabulated by Joel Whitburn in his Country Top 10 Sinlges book which only goes thru 2010. Anyways I'll start with the year 1992. Enjoy!
1992 1. Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus 2. What She's Doing Now - Garth Brooks 3. No One Else On Earth - Wynonna 4. Boot Scootin' Boogie - Brooks & Dunn 5. Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away - Vince Gill 6. Love, Me - Collin Raye 7. I Saw The Light - Wynonna 8. There Ain't Nothin' Wrong With The Radio - Aaron Tippin 9. Is There Life Out There - Reba McEntire 10. I'm In A Hurry (And Don't Know Why) - Alabama
11. Neon Moon - Brooks & Dunn 12. I Still Believe In You - Vince Gill 13. A Jukebox With A Country Song - Doug Stone 14. I Cross My Heart - George Strait 15. Love's Got A Hold On You - Alan Jackson 16. In This Life - Collin Raye 17. Dallas - Alan Jackson 18. Sticks And Stones - Tracy Lawrence 19. She's Got The Rhythm (And I Got The Blues) - Alan Jackson 20. Straight Tequila Night - John Anderson 21. She Is His Only Need - Wynonna 22. The River - Garth Brooks 23. Some Girls Do - Sawyer Brown 24. I'll Think Of Something - Mark Chesnutt 25. If I Didn't Have You - Randy Travis 26. Better Class Of Losers - Randy Travis 27. We Tell Ourselves - Clint Black 28. Seminole Wind - John Anderson 29. Norma Jean Riley - Diamond Rio 30. Watch Me - Lorrie Morgan 31. Take Your Memory With You - Vince Gill 32. Sacred Ground - McBride & The Ride 33. What Kind Of Fool Do You Think I Am - Lee Roy Parnell 34. Past The Point Of Rescue - Hal Ketchum 35. (Without You) What Do I Do With Me - Tanya Tucker 36. Born Country - Alabama 37. Take A Little Trip - Alabama 38. Backroads - Ricky Van Shelton 39. Rock My Baby - Shenandoah 40. The Whiskey Ain't Workin' - Travis Tritt & Marty Stuart
Taking a break for a bi and I'll post the top 40 of 1993 next!

What is a bi? Just asking!
Anyway, I always thought the ranking of the biggest songs of 1992 were strange. According to the American Country Countdown and Billboard, I Saw The Light by Wynonna Judd was tops while Billy Ray Cyrus' Achy Breaky Heart was second. If I were to rank the hits according to weeks at #1 followed by weeks in the top 40, Cyrus would finish first because he spent five weeks at the top and 16 weeks in the top 40 while Judds' stats are three weeks at #1 and 18 weeks in the top 40. If I were a betting man, it looks like all the #2s from 1992 are listed (titles 26-40).

Two Sparrows In A Hurricane, Could've Been Me and Every Second are the 3 missing. This is how Joel Whitburn ranked them in his book. If you go look at the rankdown thread for 1994 and look in the book he has Pickup Man by Joe Diffie at #1 while Billboard had I Swear by John Michael Montgomery at #1 on their year end chart. Whitburn has I Swear at #2 but the interesting thing is both songs spent the same amount of weeks at #1 (4 weeks) and on the chart (20 weeks). What he done for a tiebreaker I don't know but that's how he ranked them. 1993 coming now!
