Heard it live, nothing groundbreaking, but I really enjoyed it.

He performed it on AXSTV during Stagecoach. I wasn't too impressed but maybe it was him trying to amp up the live performance. I hope the studio version is a bit more smooth and toned down.

It's similar to UMWCT but more of a salute to the middle class and less "I'm middle class and I'm redneckin' and proud". I'll say, Brice live is a mixed bag. When I saw him perform this, he made "A Woman Like You" and "I Drive Your Truck" sound like completely different songs. Not sure if he was having trouble vocally or what, but I did not enjoy those two songs that night.

I was channel surfing one night and I think I watched him perform a few songs from this performance. It was really awful. Then the pitiful Florida Georgia Line came on. Can't any of these new male artists carry a tune live? Why anyone pays money to hear them sing is beyond me. Different strokes for different folks.

I personally like and respect Lee's approach to singles. He has had the emotional songs (I Drive Your Truck, Love Like Crazy, I Don't Dance), loving (A Woman Like You, Hard To Love), and party tunes (Parking Lot Party and Drinkin' Class). He is not someone who comes out with the same stuff over and over again. He, in my opinion, should release a party-type tune like this to keep changing things up. Plus, this song is more an ode to people who work hard and then let loose, than just partying on a truck by the lake with girls.

Haven't heard this yet but I completely agree with the point on his variety. Far from a one trick pony.

Emotive, impactful. It's just when he gets too excited live, he loses the technical part. Also, the production mix is VERY loud. If it was a wee bit quieter, he wouldn't lose his technical pitch.

Here's the Audio. www.youtube.com/embed/RC_77syfHLcI really like this. Not as loud as I thought it'd be (I like the live version a lot more actually) but it should be another big hit for Lee. "Hard 2 Love" was one of the best albums of 2012, hoping his new one follows suit. Could listen to this dude sing all day long.

That's actually pretty good. Not nearly as loud or anthem-esque as I thought it would be.

Yeah this song is pretty good, fits Lee's voice pretty well. I think this song will go over well with the blue collar country fan base and the college crowd as well, which is a good place to be in. I can tell this one will definitely grow on me. Might be another slower climb, but I see this peaking pretty high, if not another #1.

Not a fan of this song at all. I loved "I Don't Dance" as his first single for the new record, but this song is a very weak, poorly written, poorly performed follow up single. Made me lose a little hope for the "I Don't Dance" record now.

I like that Lee has interesting parts to his production, like the heart monitor in "That's When You Know it's Over", the wind-up doll in "I Don't Dance" and the "oh-wo-s" in this one. It's nice that he takes some chances to sound different.

This is alright. Lee sounds great, and I like how the song keeps building up. The "Oh oh oh ohs" in the background kinda get on my nerves though.
I also like how it's not a typical beer song; it's about the blue-collar, middle-class lifestyle and I appreciate that. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's a bit different from other drinking songs.
I can see this one going over well at his concerts.

I do agree that this song will do very well at Brice's concerts! Very sing-alongable. I've always been a fan of Lee's voice, just not into his partying and drinking songs. I can see this one growing on people though and after further listens to it then I can appreciate the fact that he's trying something a little different. Not sure if this should be a huge hit on radio however, but definitely a great LIVE song for sure.

I will say this. GARTH Brooks would've loved to have had this one. Not a fan of this song at all. I loved "I Don't Dance" as his first single for the new record, but this song is a very weak, poorly written, poorly performed follow up single. Made me lose a little hope for the "I Don't Dance" record now. Weak? Poorly written? I don't see that at all. The performance here is good too. I like how he doesn't say "Bust our ass" in the lyrics. The melody is also very interesting. Seriously, if people (this isn't directed at just you, gurustu) say the lyrics are poorly-written on virtually every song that comes out, what are they expecting? Picasso Painting-like lyrics every damn time? Songs don't and cannot possibly be 'earth moving' or 'life-altering' or 'epic' or whatever adjective all the time. As a guy who does write songs (none cut yet but excited about a few possibilities) I understand this so why can't fans of music understand this? It's good to hold artists to the fire, so to speak, and hope for the best but this song is far from weak. I could probably name 10 other songs which aren't as well-produced and written as this. Shoot, the production isn't even over the top or messy.

Shoot, the production isn't even over the top or messy. You didn't read my response after I posted that one. I LOVE Lee Brice's voice, always have; just not a fan of this song and some of the timing during the verses. But yes, he still sung it well, the man can't sing a song bad. As for being overly critical, that I am, so from time to time you will see posts from me that you don't agree with. Is this a great song for the working class, hell yeah it is.... is this a great song for the crowds to sing a long too and hold up their beer too in concert, you better believe it.... in that sense the song is well written and will do very well for LIVE shows. Is this song the best one for Brice to follow up "I Don't Dance" with on Radio, only time will tell. I personally however am more a fan of Brice's sentimental songs more so than the partying and drinking songs. We will all have differences of opinions, that's what makes music great :)

But I'll say that about virtually every song written, HA! As for what you said. I don't see this as a "Drinking song" like "Parking Lot Party" and I don't see it as a forced anthem that some likely do. It feels just right.

I like it the more I listen to it, like I posted in my one comment.... it's the type of song that can "grow on ya". You are right, it's not a party song and it's not really a drinking song per se either, it's a working man/class/blue-collar song. It's good for what it is.... just give me "I Drive Your Truck" or "I Don't Dance" any day from Lee over this one (in my opinion)... but it's not fair to say that since we are talking about this song in particular. So yeah, it's a good tune for what it is

I keep hearing Girls In Bikinis on XMSirius. Whats up with that if this is the singe? Girls In Bikinis is a much better song IMO. Drinking Class is pretty average.
