Geez, #1 with less than 1600 spins that's crazy. There really isn't anything compelling and strong on Active nowadays is there?
As for The Feast and The Famine, I definitely dig it. White Limo was my favorite song off of Wasting Light and this song definitely has that driving force and quick pace so this could be my favorite this era.

So all of a sudden #1 is going to be a struggle. It will be the biggest crime in the history of alternative radio of this gets blocked by f*cking Hozier.

I think you're jumping the gun a bit. It's still gaining and I highly doubt Foo Fighters will miss #1
In other news I just realized the guy in your gif avatar is Dr. Hendrick from Scrubs.

Dave Foley, he's brilliant. Watch the video for my #1, "Desire 126" by Hollerado. Greatest 6 and a half minutes of Dave Foley ever, he's a freakin' boss lol. #1 Music Video of the year IMO.

And 2 of my friends are diehard Hollerado fans lol (they played in Sudbury last Halloween, alot more people know who they are here than should be the norm.

I think "Take Me To Church" deserves to go #1. If it's a choice between the two, I'd rather see the Foos at the top, but I can see how Hozier's song might be more relevant to the current Alternative audience. On the other hand (no pun intended), I'm not a fan of "Left Hand Free" at all, so I'm glad that seems likely to miss #1.
At least the Foos have inched up to #4 on Alternative now... 5 4 FOO FIGHTERS Something From Nothing 2247 2017 230 9.849

At the rate that the increases have been going I think the Foos will end up taking a "Fever"-like rise to #1, slightly longer by their standards, which means that for the next few weeks - assuming that Milky Chance continues losing spins - the top spot is free for the taking for Hozier or even alt-J. I like both songs so I'm honestly okay with either of them hitting #1. I'm kinda rooting more for Alt-J here, though Hozier will probably be #1 next week.

I wouldn't mind seeing Take Me to Church at the top, but. Yeah, it's way too early to write this off.

A new song called "Congregation" has been released. I still don't know which is my fave song, maybe it's "Feast And the Famine".
Congregation it's already #1 in 57 countries!

I think it's my favorite out of the three songs released. Awesome tune.

So far all of these are more radio friendly than "Something from Nothing", but that's still my favourite of the 3. That build up makes it.

Congregation? Not the most radio-freindly title for a song, but it's the most melodic of the three so far. Between this and "The Feast and the Famine" I'm leaning toward this one, but that's based on first time listen and usually the first time listen effect, hits me the hardest.

Wow..."Congregation" is amazing as well, this is going to be one hell of an album. I wanted 8 single-quality songs, so far they're 3/3.

The fact that this didn't dethrone Milky Chance on the Alternative charts is disturbing. I thought for sure Milky Chance was about to go sour.

Stolen Dance isn't falling fast enough. Hopefully it's gone by next week and "Take Me To Church" can get a week in before Foo takes over.

Up to #3 now, leapfrogging Alt-J and closing in on Hozier. It's looking more and more likely that the Foo Fighters will be the next #1 after all.

So has anyone listened to the album? I thought it was a little underwhelming. "Something From Nothing", "The Feast and the Famine", and "I Am A River" were standouts, while the rest weren't bad, but they were just not that interesting. Still buying it though.

I've seen the first 4 videos on HBO so far. "Something From Nothing" is the standout so far for me. The others seem over-polished and almost cookie cutter for Foo Fighters. I do not notice any local flavors (other than a wink-wink lyric nod in each song) that were supposed to be injected. While I have enjoyed what I've heard, there is nothing new to hear here it seems.

I want to wait until Tuesday to hear the whole thing, but I've heard from others that it's nothing special compared to everything else. I wasn't really expected to be blown away and if they make new material that as good as the majority of their material, that's enough for me.

Having gotten the time to listen to it I'd say the album is definitely a step down from Wasting Light and probably the most underwhelming Foos album since One by One in my book (the reviews listed on its Wikipedia page so far aren't looking that stellar either). "Something from Nothing" itself also struck me as underwhelming compared to previous Foo lead singles but it and "Congregation" are nonetheless still probably the high-points of the entire album.
It's a decent record, I guess, but in spite of all the hype with the documentary series and all the guest appearances scattered throughout the album and whatnot, musically it doesn't feel like it has much of its own unique sound, and certain tracks end up dragging after a while. It's an interesting concept but the overall execution just doesn't live up to my standards for the band - on first listen it's a flat 3/5 for me.

I wasn't that big of a fan of this song at first. But it's surprisingly grown on my quite a bit. Feast and the Famine sounds like an obvious next single (surprised it wasn't b the 1st)

Not sure if you were thinking Tuesday was the release date or you chose Tuesday for a different reason lol, but the album is out now.
