Florida police are now confirming that Christina was shot tonight after her show with Before You Exit and is in critical condition.

'The Voice' Singer Christina Grimmie Shot After Florida Concert

Singer Christina Grimmie is in critical condition after being shot following a concert in Orlando, Florida, on Friday night, police said.

The singer, a former contestant on "The Voice," and members of the band Before You Exit were signing autographs following a concert at Plaza Live in Orlando when a male suspect shot Grimmie, Orlando Police Department spokeswoman Wanda Miglio said at a news conference.

Grimmie's brother tackled the shooter who then fatally shot himself, Miglio said.

Police did not identify the shooter and said a motive is not yet known.

The shooting occurred around 10:45p.m. ET. There were around 60 people in the area, but nobody else was hurt, according to police.

Grimmie came in third on season 6 of "The Voice," NBC's singing competition, which aired in 2014.

I just recently bought "It Must Be Love" I thought it was new.
Well it was new to me.
I also enjoyed a lot of her performances on "The Voice".

She had talked about it as a side project (she had plans for a second album this year too), so I hadn't paid it much attention when it was released. But I agree. Going back to it now, it was a really mature step sound-wise for her. The tone and themes were darker, and the production matched that really well. "Deception" is beautifully heartbreaking. I wish Selena would cover one of them on the rest of her tour or something.

I wonder if Side A or With Love will actually be able to chart on the B200 this week. Side A has been in the top 20 on iTunes since Saturday.

That was a sweet thing to do, especially given that it's E3. Maybe that petition to get an NPC in the new Zelda named after her will come to fruition.

Side A made it to #171 on the Billboard 200 last week, and her compilation from The Voice made it to #192. I was really hoping With Love would finally chart, but I'm glad her final EP did.

I totally get Nintendo not wanting to make this a habit (naming NPCs after deceased fans), but it would still be nice to give her a little nod in the end.

The habit thing is where it gets messy. I think they did enough by honoring her at the E3 presentation, which is frankly more than they had to do.

She made a music video for each song on Side A back in February and her team will be releasing each video on Billboard over the next month.

This is a really wonderful surprise. I've been expecting news about unreleased songs but nothing about music videos. I must reiterate too that Side A is very good.
