PERFECT choice. I'm excited about this one going to radio. The best song on A.M. imo.

Absolutely excited for this to be released! I wanted this one and "Text Me Texas" (I love it, but just don't see it making a splash at radio at this point in the album...thanks "A.M." for being a dud release.) When this song hits the chorus, it's just awesome. I can't contain my excitement right now, I might do a cartwheel lol.
The charts are going to be so unbelievably crowded coming up it's not funny. "Roller Coaster", "Dirt", "Burnin' it Down", "Like a Cowboy", Garth's single, and with Blake Shelton announcing a new album I expect a song from him to be released soon as well. Let alone songs that are already on the charts or moving up soon. I love it!

Well, that's a new one...RCA sending this song and Sara Evans' "Can't Stop Loving You" for adds on the same day? I don't think I have ever seen that happen. Heck, I don't think I've seen it where an Arista artist and an RCA artist, or an MCA and a Mercury artist, had songs go for adds on the same day. Labels just don't do that.

In the minority here, but I found this entire album to be absolutely dreadful.
This is better than Young's recent singles, but that's not saying much.

Perhaps there's something in Sara's contract with RCA that states they must make it as difficult as possible for her subsequent singles from her albums to succeed.

Great choice for the next single. It's strong vocally, has a great melody, and is pretty catchy. I hope this can go #1 because it sounds like a #1 song in my opinion. This and "Goodbye" are the two best songs on A.M.

This is so exciting! Beyond happy for the writer's of this song. Love the Lonely Eyes lyrics, melody and you add Chris' voice and it is the ultimate single. Plus they are striking while the iron is hot off his #1 with WIAWY! Glad they are releasing this one quickly.

Good choice for Chris & I really love the introspective artwork for the single.
When I think of this album, the song Aw Naw always comes to mind, but if I skip over that song, the album is full of really melodic songs that Chris really nails. Hold You To It and Goodbye are two of my favorites on the album, but I'm fine with this choice. Hope it continues the momentum for him!

He has mentioned on several occasions over the last month or so that this "might," or "could," be his next single. I am happy that it is official as well. ;)

Very glad this is the new single. Right up there with Forgiveness as my favorite song on A.M., and since there's no way Forgvieness will be considered as a single, this is as good as I could've hoped for. Love the narrative structure (a lost art these days) and there's something about the way the first verse builds that I really love. The subject matter is hardly ground breaking, but it's refreshing hear it done so tastefully and artistically. Easily my favorite single of his since Neon, but I suspect this one will enjoy a better fate.

I love this song! Glad to know it's his next single. Chris Young has one of my favorite voices in the radio right now.

Text Me Texas is my favorite on this cd, but Lonely Eyes is a close second. Nice choice!

I'm all in. Listened to this so many times it feels to me like it's already made it's way to the top. Wears very well over time and should stand out from most of what we've been hearing on the radio.

I really enjoyed this song and like it much more than WIAWY, which is overplayed in my opinion. Hope this is huge, though.

Wow! Country radio is going to be sounding as good as it has in a couple years. Awesome single choice from Chris and a lot of others. Randy, Tyler, Jake, Joe, Brett, FGL even has a decent song out. Garth is about to drop a new single, Blake has a new one coming too. Going to be a great year for radio.

From All Access: Spotlight Country Trax
"There's no doubt (in my mind at least) that Chris Young is one of the strongest male vocalists in the Country format right now. He manages to keep the "traditional" sound alive, while still sounding modern and appealing to the current core Country listeners. His upcoming single, "Lonely Eyes," is no different. Young's smooth vocals will strike a chord with all the women out there who have felt vulnerable and lonely, just wanting someone to want them (trust me, we've all been there). In fact, his delivery is so believable that you feel like you're the girl he's singing about; which is fine by me, and I'm sure your female listeners, since he was just voted this year's "Hottest Bachelor" by Country Weekly readers. Impacts August 25th." By: Brittany Pellegrino

I've listened to this song so many times and I'm still not tired of it. They made the perfect choice for the third single. I wasn't a fan of "Aw Naw" or "Who I Am With You", but "Lonely Eyes" redeems the A.M. era completely in my eyes.

This is probably one of my favorite singles from Chris. It has a bit of a 90s country feel to it, at least to me.

What gives with this track? I thought this would be a sure fire hit. After a decent start, it just hasn't taken off. Why? I'm equally amazed the poor showing Randy Houser's "Like a Cowboy" has had as well. Guess I'm too old and out of touch with what country music has become. Lot's of stuff getting traction I would consider pretty mundane, but what do I know?
