Please see the country forum rules: 5) Starting New Threads. This is a singles-based forum, but the single release needs to be officially confirmed before a thread can be created. I will be locking any thread that does not have a source. There must be a source confirming that the song is going to country radio, otherwise please don't start a thread. If there is a source for this potential release, please PM me, and I will unlock the thread. Thanks.

Confirmed as a single by Daily Play MPE (thanks to zjames for the heads up). "Middle of America" is the first single from a forthcoming album. The single will be promoted to radio by New Revolution Entertainment.

It's a very good single too. Hopefully New Revolution can get it to Top 40 at the very lest.

Great song, and wouldn't be shocked if it made the top 40 as it's rather radio friendly.

Yep, New Revolution is on this, Hopefully that means it'll scrape the Top 40 at least though it could sneak a Top 30 result. Either way, it's a good lead single from his next project.

This sounds great. I've been hoping for a Will Hoge breakthrough and this seems like the right song for it to happen.

Will is absolutely incredible. This song showcases everything that is great about rural America without being too stereotypical. The lyrics have some nice details to them and yet they are definitely relatable. It sort of reminds me of Kenny's "American Kids" crossed with Eli Young Band's "10,000 Towns".
I really hope that New Revolution can get this on the chart and that it can at least go top 40.

I just heard this for the first time tonight, and I like it a lot. I agree it sounds a little like "American Kids", and to me it also has a John Mellencamp feel to it. It starts its run at #60 on tonight's Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Well, New Revolution was able to pull in 14 adds for "Middle Of America" this week, many of them being iHeartMedia stations (Clear Channel). WYRK here in Buffalo was also one of the 14.

Heard it on the radio on my way too school, crazy good. How can it not have more than 30 000 views on YT? Also radio friendly.

Probably because he's mostly unknown to many country fans outside of Texas and the song currently sits at #53 on MB and #55 on Billboard.

This is such a great song. I know I've seen it bulletless a couple times, but I can't exactly remember when. What are the odds of this one sticking around and catching on?
I can't believe radio hasn't picked this one up. Five years ago this could have been a #1 (albeit perhaps from a better-known artist).

Its been charting for 11 weeks on Billboard and has cracked the top 50 on MB (#50) last week but slid down to #53 this week. It is currently without a bullet on Billboard.
I don't really expect this to do any better than "Strong" did, which was peak in the 40's( #41 to be exact). New Revolution is having a difficult time right now with the influx of new music and Will still isn't a household name for most radio stations. Right now its basically hanging in there.
I agree though, this song is radio-friendly and has real potential - if Will was on a stronger label.

If I'm Eli Young Band, I'm cutting this song for my next record as soon as it's done for Will.

The one and only time I heard that song was the night I made that post. I'll try to listen to it again on the weekend when I'm at my computer and see if I hear the same thing.

Wow, this song actually went recurrent on Billboard last night. I knew it was eligible to leave (it had been without a bullet the previous 2 weeks), but it sure looked like Will was gonna get his bullet back, based on the numbers I was tracking at AllAccess for this song.
Bummer. I really liked this song but I'm sure it's done now. I am sure that Will and his team would have needed to give New Revolution a lot of money to even get this top 40, so unless the song was going to naturally catch on at radio, it probably just wasn't worth it.
