One thing that isn't so normal is putting the Two for One back after #20, using one of Jessie J's two previous hits. Also, since "Shake It Off" is brand new, I'd have thought that it would be labeled a "Breakout" or something instead of a regular extra.

Two double digit upward moves, and one such drop. "I'm Ready" falls right off after taking 12 weeks to reach #30, and Ariana Grande is almost back again in the Top 10 double duty club, with Sam Smith and recently (with Ariana's help) Iggy Azalea. With "Dark Horse" falling to 40, Katy may be off the countdown altogether for the first time in a year pending the arrival of "This Is How We Do", however she's had much longer streaks of continuous chart presence (May 2010-early 2013 IIRC.) Next oldest is "Talk Dirty", which may also fall off very soon; after that are "Classic" and "All of Me", both of which probably have at least several more weeks left.

BTW, you forgot the title of the song at #12 (as if we didn't know it by now .)

Nice to know we get to hear a Two For One from Jessie J. I would have preferred to hear "Domino" instead of "Price Tag".

As for the Adele optional extra, wasn't "Someone Like You" played like a month or two ago?

As I anticipated, a huge jump for "Bang Bang". It debuted a bit lower than I was expecting, last week.

Had a feeling that "Shake It Off" might get some "early" spins, here. It just seemed like it would be one of "those" songs.

Does anyone notice that most of the recurrent songs on the chart have been constantly moving down? Well, last week, "Not A Bad Thing" moved back up to #22 and "Ain't It Fun" holds still at #19.

No, it hasn't been played since May 2013. "Rolling In The Deep" was played in July and "Set Fire To The Rain" was this past May.

That's right. When I thought about it, I realized that it wasn't an optional extra, but one of those extras that AT40 tosses out in the middle of the show.

Usually songs like that are given the "extra" treatment rather than the "Breakout" treatment. Remember the infamous "What About Love" run as an AT40 extra?

You're right, my apologies. I keep a list of all the optional segments and Break Outs/On The Verge, but not the extras used to fill up time.

Just a heads up, Ariana Grande will be guest hosting next week's show. (Announced on the hot ac version, but I am sure will be for both shows). Shake It Off was also played on the Hot AC version of the show, Ryan called it an extra (can easily pass for a breakout, as it should debut on both shows in 2-3 weeks depending on how caught up they are)

Really, all this is is the "brand new song" treatment that's typical for high profile songs on their premiere week. See also: Roar and Applause, this time last year, and also Taylor's "We Are Never Ever..." two years ago. As such, different from a typical "Breakout", and I wouldn't label it so.

I agree. Ariana Grande's speaking voice, meanwhile, I've often found to be kind of annoying (see "Victorious" or "Sam and Cat"), with a tendency to overenunciate. Still, she probably isn't as irritating as whatever snarky alleged reasons for Ryan's absence are presented throughout the show (seriously, if those were ever funny, they stopped being so a long time ago.)

In All About That Bass it sounds a little like "no trouble". And Shake It Off reminds
me of 2005. Mariah had that title and the song sounds a bit like Hollaback Girl.
I also agree about Ellen K. but it probably will never happen.
