I don't hate this song, but after watching some of her videos on YouTube (of her vlogging, not singing), she has an atrocious personality. Whether its an act to try to fill the "angsty teen" image or what, who knows, but she's comes across as a total bitch.

I haven't seen her vlogs or anything, but from what I remember when she was on The X Factor, she came off as a bitch to me too. I never liked her on X Factor, though this is not that bad.

Remix is okay. It definitely makes the verses better for radio, but it comes at the expense of the chorus. The big power contrast between the verses and chorus is what made the latter pop so much, and this gets rid of that contrast. Kind of makes everything more monotonous.
As for her personality, there's definitely a bit of "try hard" in there, but I don't know that I really find her off-putting. Her tone on Twitter actually comes off a lot like a little kid version of Lorde, and I've always been a fan of Lorde's personality (even back when everyone thought she was too negative and elitist).

She seemed to get a bit of a momentum boost after performing on the Today Show on 12/17; the $0.99 price, while not as potent as the $0.69 discount, also helps (her other song "Fire and Gold" has been popping up on the charts as well).
